well the show is finally over , it too bad that ep 50 was pretty bad ending, so what do you guys think of ep 50, was good ending or very bad ending?

Yea it sucked. It was too one sided. I thought Shinn wouldve put up a better fight than that.

Looked like they wanted to give Shin a Kamille-like ending. I felt it was fitting as something had to break with Shin. He couldn't go out and slaughter people who opposed Dullindal as he wanted to force genetic engineering on people. So I think it was fitting that he basically snapped and then made peace with what he did and the end of the conflict.

What I didn't like was how they rushed through Rey's story and did a 2-second flashback on Neo's past/resurrection. And it just....ended.

But take heart, there's a 40 minute OVA included with the last GSD DVD released in the new year.

there are no leaders but like b4 they will find someone to lead ZAFT and EFA

yeah...the ending wasn't that good.

and some people were expecting a bloodbath of main characters....

i thought the ending matched the series as a whole which was pretty disappointing

however i got high hopes for the OVA cause its gonna be a big one: 40 minutes and should end the series better than the ending

the fight with Athrun and Shinn was like Athrun fighting a normal Zaku

The last episode was horrible.
There were so many mistakes in the editing.
Over usage of old footages and Strike-Freedom was seen as original Freedom here and there.
If the production studio was having budget problems, they should've wrapped up the series much sooner,
instead of dragging it to 50 episodes with minimal story progression and bunch of "review sessions".

I would rather watch a decent-good-quality 24 episode Gundam then this lame-half-ass attempt to continue the "Seed" series.
IMO, "Destiny" ruined what was left of "Seed".

Yes GSD has finish (with a very gay ending)..so anyone waiting for the next one? Is it gonna be repeitive again? I mean what can they do after Kira killed the world..again.

this series is worse than gundam seed

finally finished it. i really couldn't see any other way they could have done the ending. i mean the good guys had to win right? still, i was hoping shinn would die. at least athrun beat him though. and i'm glad rey died haha. i mostly thought the ending was stupid because it tried to copy seed so much in every way. even the naked conversation between shinn and stellar...

I fail to realize why all the main characters never die even when the gundam/mobile suit explodes. It's just..sad...

he's gonna be a masked man

and then hes gonna come back and be like

"PEOPLE'S HOPE, PEOPLE'S YA DI YA DI YA DA, I WILL NOW TAKE YOU DOWN, KIRA YAMATO"

and kira would go *seed mode*

"IT CANT BE? ITS YOU AGAIN?"

and then a shot of lacus going "KIRA O___O"

but in the end, it'll be kira > rey

and like this badass twist will come in where Shinn goes, "OMFG YOU KILLED REY"

*charges kira and kills him"

and Athrun would then go "YOU IDIOT" *seed mode* *destroys shinn*

and and, Luna would be like, "SHINN !!!!!!!!!" and die to Athrun cuz she cant fight, rofl

then this new character they will throw in the next series will have this mad crush on luna, but he has no decent fighting ability, so he'll wait till when everyone is sleeping on the archangel, and then self-desturcts the ship, killing everyone on it

and the mwu would be lucky cuz hes out taking this walk, so he'll come back, kill off this new kid, and then sit at the graveyard screamin "MURRUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" and then somehow dies

^that's probably what's really gonna happen lol.

The last 18 episodes of SEED are better than all 50 of Destiny.

he always seems to amuse me somehow. especially with those shades and that wig when he and lacus were trying to decieve ZAFT that lacus was uh.. lacus.

AND THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE KILLED OFF CAPTAIN TODOKA (sp?) He was such a nice man

Finally, I think Jona's character was a lame attempt to recreate Mwu La Flaga as a replacement for the funny guy >_>

Overall I didn't like the series much. Heck, the only episodes I liked involved those where the SEED cast was front and centre. It was a mistake on the part of the creators to make two huge casts for us to follow as they did a horrible job with the pacing of the story and character development on the part of the Destiny cast.

also, could they have made neo actually being mwu any more obvious?

I mean, the beginning of Destiny was great: zaft perspective of the war, zaft being the good guys, zaft kicking enemy ass.

But then it switches to Archangel kicking Zaft ass

i sure hope shinn is more matured in Eternity. he was flippin' annoying in destiny... i also hope that they won't have a flipping annoying character like Kira (in SEED), or Shinn (in DESTINY).. even more so i hope that sluts like Fray (in SEED), or Rey (in DESTINY) appear and spoil the whole viewing experience...

don't deny it. Rey definitely affected Shinn the same way Fray affected Kira... just that Rey couldn't very well sleep with Shinn.

would it be reccommended to watch gundam seed destiny without seeing gundam seed? because i found a site to direct download all the gundam seed destiny episodes but im reluctant because of all the prior knowledge i would need to know (ZAFT, orb, blahblah i dont know any of that crap)

I highly disrecommend watching Gundam Seed Destiny without Gundam Seed, because...

(POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!)

1. You'll miss out on good fights in SEED that have a huuuuge impact later on in Destiny
2. You'll be wondering about the whole triangle relationship of Kira, Athrun and Lacus.
3. You'll miss out on how cool Mwu La Flaga is in SEED
4. You'll be wondering why Andrew Waltfield is partly "cyborg" or why he's siding with the ArchAngel
5. You wont be able to see Dearka and Yzak and how they impact the story line
6. You wont know anything about Patrick Zala and his role in the SEED storyline
7. AND YOU really won't know much about why Shinn is such an jackass in Destiny
8. SEED was better than Destiny

You can pickup all 50 episodes of Gundam SEED at a local anime retailer, get the uncut english at Best Buy possibly, or get all 50 episodes in japanese pirated from chinatown or something (which i discourage against)

Get the raw from saiyaman's bt site. It's only a little over 300MB.

As for the episode, I found it to be far better than the actual Phase 50 both in terms of pacing and intensity. Also, Final Plus actually has more closure, i.e. stuff you wanted to see after the final battle like pilots returning to their ships, characters acknowledging each other etc..

they added some battle footage, added Athrun to numerous scenes where he wasn't present in Phase 50, showed what the murasame's were doing, showed more Dom Trio footage, and extended scenes with Shin. I liked the epilogue where Shin and Kira shake hands and make peace and Emperor Lacus' entrance. haha

^i somehow can't imagine them doing that.
