my friend finished her book last night and called me wanting to tell
me what happened but i refuse to until i finish with mines. but i know she
is very dissapointed in Bella. i'm going to stephanie's fan signing event
tonight!

i think the only parts in Eclipse that kept me reading was mostly about Alice, her bubbly personality is always so upbeat and cute! Bella always annoyed me, i think she's being inconsiderate about Edward and how she never really thinks from his point of view and when she does, it's always wrong.

Jacob is just Jacob... between the two i find Edward still hotter, Jacob is a little too hot tempered and immature most of the time.

their conversations were also really really funny and it really made me sense the character's jealousy most of the time

the cullen's side stories were pretty sad too... especially Rosalie's

i absolutely loved twilight... i had to read it over and over again.

new moon, compared to twilight, was a huge disappointment.. it was still a good book, but i expected a lot more.

and now i hear that eclipse isn't that great? ah.. i still read it tho.

It`s not like Eclipse is not a great book. But I was a bit disappointed at a few parts.

For example the way Edward changed his mind regarding Jacob at the end of the book.
He should rather be angry at Jake for trying to take Bella away from him, than being grateful at him for giving her up. The methods Jacob used were just disgusting.

His attitude really changed comparing to New Moon. I just can`t believe that Bella loves him (and is inviting him to her wedding. How stupid!!!!!).

i don't think it was bella's choice to invite him, edward said he was breaking the rules by doing so

i think it was right of edward to show jacob that he can be the bigger man, and he admits that jacob was there for a time when he was not. and he was the reason for that void in her life. he made the mistake and he must own up to it

I was laughing s0 on pgs. 494-495 when Jacob was warming bella then he suddenly has this fantasies and edward can see what it was... then they start yelling(kidn of) at each other ... it's weird guys fight verbally... they're so ghey

stuuuuuuuuuupid Bella!!!!!!!!! what the hell was she doing with Jacooob???!!! I mean, I truly believe she doesnt really love him, i just think she was tricked by him and his words, because she can live perfectly without him. But, when she was alone with him and tell him to kiss her I was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING DUMBASS?! aaaaarg. I couldnt stand it! I was on my nerves. I'm still am.

I've really enjoyed the book, if it's not for the stupid bella-jacob situation that i've mentioned before...The book was really enjoyable. It had a lot of Edward and his smart comments, he's so damn perfect....DANG! I like him more than before now, although I really didnt like that he wasnt mad at all at Jacob, seriously, Jacob almost stole the meaning of his life and he's all nice, damn it edward, get mad! Show us the human in you!
But well...i have to admit that the interaction between edward-jacob was funny, aw, they're such a kids xD

....then, about jacob I have nothing to say, I dont really like him in new moon and in eclipse I dont like him either. But I just hope in the next book he can imprint someone we know(or not), just to leave Bella with Edward happily ever after and on....

And the wedding? Please, tell me everything is going to be ok in the next book for the god's sake. I mean that they're going to get married and she's going to be a vampire and they're gonna be forever together. I do not want anything like "i've thought it better..." or "i'm sorry, edward is dead" NO, i want a happy ending with the both of them alive and on a vampire way. xD


by the way, 13th August!!!!! That is next monday!!!!! wooooo I wish Stephenie give us a little scoop of what is going to happen that day. (I really love the date by the way, 13 is my favorite number and it has "you know what" and Bella's birthday.

I read Eclipse and I think it was very good.


I really didn't want Bella to admit that she liked Jacob too. She was obvious in denial for a while, and I was also in denial...I just really want her and Edward to be perfectly together. I don't want Jacob in the way x.x. At first I thought Jacob was really immature. Especially when he kissed Bella (the first incident where she punched him). I mean what the hell, he said that she should EXPERIMENT kissing other guys while dating Edward?! That's freaking obsurd in my opinion and I wanted to take a bat and swing it at his family jewels xD. And it irritated me whenever he claimed that he loved Bella more than Edward did. How does he know how much Edward loves Bella? Yeah, he left her once and it hurt her, but he came back. And the reason he left was because he THOUGHT it would be better for her =.=. I was kind of relieved and happy when Jacob left in the end. Throughout the book, he kept holding on and fighting for Bella and he was immature towards Edward and the whole vampire thing. Edward got mature over that fact =.=. My heart just sank when Edward said that he's willing to give Bella to Jacob if she chooses him and that he'll play whatever part in her life she wanted him to. I just love Edward Cullen so so much <3.

And then when Jacob and Bella kissed the 2nd time, I got so angry at both of them. Edward was hurt so much ;.;. Then after he killed Victoria, he thought that Bella was afraid of him and he was even in more pain and I just wanted to give him a hug. He's so sweet and caring...

Also, I didn't like how Edward invited Jacob to the wedding..it would be just..awkward..I'm glad Jacob left....(for now..)....

I can't wait for the next book (Breaking Dawn right?)

man! you have Edward Cullen!!!!!! how can you possibly look at Jacob HAVING EDWARD CULLEN??!!! For me it's just so senseless and absurd, i cant even think about it!!!
I dont know if there are fans of Jacob out there, i just can't understand what makes Jacob so great that they rather see Bella with Jacob instead of Edward....I cant imagine that. It cant happen. (again)

btw, i was remembering the time Bella got her hand broken because of the first kiss with Jacob, and Edward said. "She's mine" It was the first time he actually said it, and i totally fell for him again because that was soooo edward-ly. I mean, it's just sentence, but I love that he said it at least once in all the book

i am starting to really pity jacob. she was friends with jacob first, and they are what she said, soul mates. they are each other and if it weren't for edward being there, she'd live her life with jacob. she had no choice with edward, she is so drawn to him, like sam is to emily.
and i know a lot of people don't like bella, for whatever reasons they have, but look at it from her point of view. she doesn't feel like she deserves edward, he is so perfect and godlike and she is merely a plain girl. around jacob, she feels like herself and she doesn't have to worry about looking silly or less than perfect
i support edward/bella but i still like jacob. he didn't do anything wrong, he's just young and in love. =\

I finished reading the entire book in one day No offense to those who thought Eclipse wasn't as perfect as the first two but I disagree. Eclipse was breathtaking and way more exciting than the first two. This book made me cry buckets of tears, laughed so hard my head almost fell off and screamed so loud I got my siblings pissed because I loved the moments Bella shared with the two guys she love. But most of the funny parts and sad stuff are for Jacob, though
After reading the third book, I can tell that Bella really really loves Jacob; almost as much as she does for Edward. But she can't go with Jake because she met Edward first. I pity him so much that if I reread Bella's and Jake's conversations, I'd cry tears of waterfalls. For some strange reason, I really wished Stephenie made Bella choose Jake. She's so casual and honest with him that it looks like a human relationship. What about Edward? I'm sure he can survive. Their talk in the tent proved that Edward can live without her even though she's the only one he'll ever look at. Yet, Edward won. Jake's alone. Sigh, I'm going to cry again TT-TT I hope the boy finds his a new love in book four. He deserves to start over ]=
I expected Bella to transform in Eclispe but I that didn't happen. And I'm really glad she didn't either. Once again, I'd pity Jake because he has to endure all those vampire stuff if he were to see her.
Probably everyone didn't enjoy the third book but I definitely did. I learned more about the characters and most of all, I should never fall in love lol.

I don't know. If anyone in this thread listens to Colbie Caillat, I think a lot of her songs make me think of characters/situations
in the Twilight series. Especially Realize, I think it works for Jacob's set of mind. The Little Things reminds me of Edward and Bella. If you guys have the time I really suggest listening to those songs.

i'm happy yet sad about Eclipse, not exactly satisfying ^ ^;;

i feel rather disappointed after reading eclipse... because all of a sudden, bella and edward's relationship doesn't seem as rock solid as before. now Bella is so TORN between Jacob and Edward. the ending made me feel so incomplete and i feel in the next book the wedding (if it even happens) isn't really going to be fulfilling.. Bella's wishywashiness really REALLY got under my skin, she was so infatuated with Edward, yet now she loves Jacob too? hm.. i don't know about everyone else, but i usually enjoy stories where the main character holds one true and steady love for another person (or in this case, vampire). but Bella's love for Edward only seemed broken and unstable.. i was just so confused =__= their love almost seems tainted now T_T she DID choose Edward, but i wish a big part of it wasn't because she met him first... maybe Edward deserves much better, much more than Bella...

i really think edward deserves better than bella.

I started twlight cause my friend told me it was really good and i whipped through three books like a drug
it took me 4 days for twilight 3 for new moon and two for eclipse i was just like omg when i read about bella asking jacob to kiss her i was hurting for edward omg i was like WHAT IS SHE DOING! like when he kissed her she punched him i was like HELL YEAH! but like asked him to kiss her and returned the kiss. how can she do that to edward. I was like tearing when i read that part T_T

I was expecting bella and edward to actually break up or something or for her to get her act right or w/e

Edward...No comment he such a sweet boyfriend honestly too see everything that jacob probably saw like the first kiss and still be right beside bella.

I agree. B + E's relationship doesn't seem as strong anymore =_= I feel horrible for Edward. He deserves a better person. There was so much to endure in Eclipse. Bella's choice between choosing the two people she can't live without. And wondering if her transformation was going to start, the wedding, etc etc.
Did anyone notice Bella's new personality at the end of the book? I think she lost a little of herself. She's too serious now. If I was Bella, lol, I'd go all the way with Edward in the tent. If you know what I mean XD

I got angry with Bella's character in Eclipse. The first two were fine, but reading the thrid installment made me somewhat dislike her character; despite her being different from most heroines. I just thought--she was a little jdfgjfdg, or maybe it was because of Jacob...lol, rooting Edward all the way >0<

Now I'm waiting on the 4th book...which won't be out for a long time >__<;

i understand your thoughts on Eclipse. when i finished reading the book, at first i hated it because it just wasn't like Twilight. it got a lot more complicated. i think she wrote it with a deeper hidden meaning. especially bella's feelings toward jacob and how she's torn apart about it.

i think Stephenie didn't give us what WE would have wanted. "everything to be perfect with Edward and Bella". she actually put a twist on it and if you really look deeper, the book is actually well written.

I didn't like Bella in the first two books, but I absolutely hated her in Eclipse. I've never disliked a heroine that much in all of my reading-life. She didn't have any redeeming qualities whatsoever. She was annoying and weak and selfish. Maybe I'm being narrow minded or maybe I have the emotional range of a teaspoon (as Hermione would say), but I don't believe that you could love two people at once. It's either/or. How could you claim to be so much in love with someone, and then turn around and love someone else in such a short amount of time? I hate seeing her hurt Edward.

I don't know, but it feels to me as if Stephenie Meyer is dragging this series out just so she could make more money. I thought that she was going to end it with the third book? I really don't want to read more about the love triangle. I hate love triangles. Someone always ends up hurt. Oh, but in Bella's case, she hurt both Edward and Jacob. I'd rather read about the Volturi people coming after Bella, or anything. Just not the love triangle.

I used to be so obsessed with Twilight. But now, I kind of find it annoying ... for some reason. Actually, one reason is because my friend keep talking about it nonstop T___T but whatever. Second, New Moon kind of got boring for me. I stopped about 1/4 of the book.

After I read Twilight gave me a little bit more inspiration to keep writing, so now my fanfic is back up. But after I stopped reading 1/4 of New Moon ... I lost inspiration. >.> Anyway, I'm almost off hiatus ...

Bella is really annoying. she frustrates me. I don't get how you can love two people in the same way but love one person more . she's hurting Edward and Jacob by being so wishy washy and that just pisses me off. so so glad she picked Edward in the end because I was beginning to think she would stay with Jacob.

I totally agree with you. I wanted to put the book down after a while because I thought it was absurd how she could 'love' two people at once. Maybe she sees him as a brother but thinks she's in love with him because Jacob placed that in her head. I was like wtf when she told Jacob to kiss her, ugh. I might get the rest of the books just for the heck of it since I like to finish up what I start.

she's gonna end bella's story with the next book and there may be a 5th or even 6th book to the series, just not centralized on bella.
