Omg, when i got to the point where BELLA actually made out with JACOB. I was stunned. . what a big turning point. I dont know if it's just me or something, but in the first two books, i couldnt see that BELLA was actually IN LOVE WITH jacob. Like the love she has for edward, i thought it was not as strong for jacob, just infautation. But I guess I was wrong. . sadly we dont know what will happen until the FIFTH book comes out, because i heard out the fourth book is basically travelling back to the twilight days , retelling everything from edward's point of view. I thought that idea was brillant .But correct me if im wrong. I have no paid so much attention to a series before. I personally think out all the vampire novels i've read so far, Stephenie meyer is indeed the best writter. Has anyone read the book "Creepy Tales Make a Hell Out of Prom Night" or something like that. Its four great authors combining their stories into one book. Stephenie meyer took part in it. I havent read it but for anyone that did, is it a good book to recommend to read? Overall, I thought this book was definitely the most romantic of them all.

Well, the kiss with Jacob was a big turn off but you know, like darae said, Stephenie didn't give us what we wanted. Our expectations were too high.

Twilight was alright for me LOL i didnt like the romance in the story but then my friend told me that book was romance so im all "uh.." lol.. the second book annoyed me =_=;; i don't know why she keeps dragging this story on and on meh i wanted things to end in the new moon or eclipse at the latest by why a fourth book..? =_=;; LOL but anyways i really like the cover of New Moon. I found it very attractive lol... oh and im rooting for Edward. He should just turn her into a vampire alreadyy >=x

I really enjoyed the 3rd book, and definitely more than the 2nd. I can't wait for the 4th book and the 5th (ahh Edward XD). I guess I'll have to read all the books again while I wait with terrible patience~!!!!

This will be my second contribution here. This time, I'll be writing with a little less steam and a little more insight, hopefully. However, I don't retract the things that I said about Bella. I still think that she's weak, annoying, selfish, whiny, and a lot of other horrible things-- but due to my lack of brain/memory retention for witty words, I will stop here.

After reading and rereading this book about 100 times (only the vital scenes), I think I finally get the message that Stephenie Meyer wanted to convey. I think I give this book an 8/10 now, rather than what I first thought it deserved. A 4/10 (I was a little biased because I loved Edward's character too much, and to see him suffer like that made the book poo).

I don't think that Stephenie Meyer's decision to make Bella fall in love with Jacob was to make us think that her love for Edward was any less, or that it was becoming unstable. In fact, I think that she wanted us to see how much Bella really loved Edward. Through out the series, Edward was always hesitant when it came to turning Bella into a vampire. Being the perfect guy that he was, he didn't want her to miss out on any human experience and what not – even though turning her into a vampire was the best option for him. He wanted her to be absolutely positive that she knew what she was getting herself into. Bella was always one-sided in her love for Edward that she didn't stop to really consider the consequences. Sure, she knew what she was getting into, but she was so blinded by her love for him that she didn’t really think it through.

Then came Jacob. Not only did she see what she could have had, but she also felt it, and even lived it for a brief moment (the infamous Bella+Jacob kiss). Stephenie Meyer gave Bella the other option, the other life with Jacob that was just as desirable as the life with Edward, yet Bella still picked Edward. So now there’s no “Oh snap, I am a vampire already, but I think I love Jacob. Whatever do I do now?”

But really, that’s what I WANT to think. I’m trying to think positive so that I can continue with this series. Like someone else mentioned previously, I want to finish what I start. I don’t want to think that Bella is as dim-witted as she seems to be, and that she’ll choose Jacob over Edward. I will burn the books if she does. All of them.

I was disappointed about that too. i don't know but i just don't really like jacob, although i do feel very bad for him. i almost cry for him in Ethnic.

i just finished Eclipse a while ago and i enjoyed it. i like it more than New Moon. now i want to read Breaking Dawn. i just love the Alice and Edward moments!

Just finished reading it and I think it was BREATHTAKING! The scenarioes were literally mesmerizing and the whole central conflict made me want to rip my heart out and just die. >__< However, Bella's character has now become a total turnoff to me and I've developed a great dislike to her. If I were her, I'd say just one thing, "If you are, or think you are, in love with two different people, then you probably don't really love either of them."

I just finished twilight and i personally thought it was a bit boring. (NO BASHING PLEASEE!!). I admit Bella and Edward did have a beautiful relationship but it was just too fast! I guess its because im kinnda not into the genre but my friends forced me to read it! It was ok...it took me 3 days to read it.

If Bella and Edward don't end up together i'm burning the whole series...

if you actually go to Stephenie Meyer's website, she explains everything. In her world of vampires, once they change they are "frozen" in that time. hair doesn't grow. nails do not grow. nothing changes. so if bella did get pregnant and Edward bit her after, she would be a pregnant vampire forever. she would be "stuck" as pregnant forever.

but Stephenie also explains that her vampires don't have any fluids like blood, sweat, or tears. (which is odd, because in Twilight when Bella was almost dying she could hear an "angel" aka Edward sobbing. so i dont understand that part.)

it does get complicated if you want to go into every little detail. lol.

^something like that, but the author was never exposed to vampire stories etc. so she made vampires the way she wanted them to be. they don't have fangs and they're like solid rock. there are some vampire stories where they can reproduce and sleep etc.

after reading your post i reread the book and liked it a lot more the second time. i really didnt' like the idea of bella being in love with two guys, but after reading your post it makes more sense

i finished all the three books in three days. i couldn't put them down. only because edward was so sexy. i usually hate books involving any type of mythical creatures, especially vampires, but edward....
i can't wait until the next one comes out. i hope stephanie meyers doesn't decide to put a weird twist at the end and make bella end up with jacob or something. i'd kill someone then.

In Twilight, the book focused on her relationship with Edward and he was he first person she met and really liked before Jake came along so I'm sure that Stephenie won't make her choose someone else. =T All those pages filled with B+E moments; it'll just be too weird! @_@
Besides, the main guy is Edward right?... The main girl always ends up with the main guy...

If Meyer doesn't release Edward's pov of the twilight after sending out the first chapter for download... it's gonna be so sad to all the readers!

I saw this thread on Soompi and decided to give the books a whirl since I have nothing to do until school starts up again and I was absolutely addicted. I think I finished all three books in 3 days. I know...I'm such a dork...but I seriously couldn't put the books down. I see there are a lot of Edward lovers in here...but I like Jacob.

I was really hoping she would change her mind last minute and go to Jacob because their second kissing scene was such a bittersweet one but I already knew she was going to end up with Edward. The epilogue about Jacob...(sigh).

I really want to read Edward's POV though. However...it's going to be a while before that one comes out.

a big bonfire. but really, i don't know why, but i will get so upset if B & E aren't together by the end. how is bella so SWAYED by jacob like that? it just makes her relationship with edward seem so weak. will she constantly be worrying about jacob now? i was so frustrated with bella throughout Eclipse, i wanted to smack some sense into her. i wanted to tell her "There's a freaking GORGEOUSSEXYHOT vampire next to you, why are you looking at the childish hairy werewolf" =_= but stephanie meyer just HAD to have the drama in there ^ ^;;

also, i don't feel that it's like cold vs warm/edward vs jacob situation like some of you guys are saying. edward may be cold on the outside.. physically, but his heart is as warm as ever. i wanted to cry after the fight scene he had with victoria, he was so worried bella was scared of him T__T and he's willing to let her go, just to see her happy. if that's not being a warm person... he's just so sweet, i don't know HOW bella is having doubts.
