sorry if it's been posted:
October 3, 2008
Summit has let us know that there will be a new, final trailer for TWILIGHT coming soon! It will be debuting in theatres on Friday, October 10th in front of certain movies (it is at the discretion of the individual theatres). There will also be a sneak peak of the new trailer on Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, October 9th. Immediately following the sneak peak, Summit is letting the fans be the first to see the trailer online in its entirety and share it.
What you need to know:
You can see the trailer first online before it's officially released, via the Twilight widget. If you don't have the widget, you can grab it from the official film site at TwilightTheMovie.com.
The trailer will be available exclusively via the widget starting at 8:00 PM PST on October 9th for one hour, before launching in HD on MySpace at 9:00 PM PST.
A countdown clock will be added to the widget shortly, counting down to this highly anticipated event.
Stay tuned for more exciting movie news!

I'm anticipating the new trailer! ^__^
And yes, news about Midnight Sun too, hopefully.
I've read the draft at SM's official site and I have to say
it was so much fun reading everything from Edward's
perspective! I can't wait for it to be officially published. <3
I actually want to see all four books on Edwards' POV.

Oh and I'm currently reading Eclipse. <333

I like the series and all, but after reading all four books, my liking for romance disappeared.
I gag at everything cheesily fluffy. XP
I did like Breaking Dawn the best though. Mostly because of Jacob, Seth, and Leah.

And it drove me crazy every time she mentioned 'Edward's crooked smile.'

Just finished reading Eclipse... and well... I don't know.
I kind of feel... weird. I don't know what to think.
I still couldn't figure out how it was possible for someone
to fall in love with two different people at the same time.
It's just... *shrugs* I don't know. It seems so wrong to me.
Yet while reading Bella's thoughts, I couldn't find any hole
that'll convince me that one of those two "loves" of hers isn't
real. They both seemed real to me. Though, of course, her
love for Edward was more... uhh, special. Or something. I'm blank, damnit.
But to feel that way for Edward and yet still be able to feel something
for Jacob? That part I couldn't understand. *sighs* I don't even know if I'm
making any sense atm. It's just so... uhh. I don't knowwwww~ x__x

i found a song that i thought would go really well with new moon
its called stop cying your heart out by Oasis
here's the link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNk-RoZhkaIi could totally see this song being played when Bella is depressing over Edward disappearance
^ don't worry fuuko chan.
i was like that too.....but i kinda of thought it out.
She loves edward as a lover and Jacob as a best friend.
Well that's my conclusion. But i truely felt sorry for jacob.
I wish that there was two bella. one for edward and one for jacob. i love both of them......didn't want either
one of them to be unhappy. darn. i hate how meyer made both of them sound some awesomely cool.

the movie trailer was the thing that made me want to read the book. overall, i thought the twilight book was okay. it totally caught me off guard when they fell in love all of a sudden because i thought they would fall in love differently.
new moon started off really sad! i could definitely feel bella's sadness ;( but the whole jacob part was boring. i was so excited when edward came back! i finished the book in two days.
im currently on eclipse. i agree with some people that edward's being too controlling and how bella needs to stand up for herself. im only on chapter 3 so we'll see what happens.

I had a question about breaking dawn.. since i dunno how to do spoiler tags, i just amde it in white
Okay, when Bella is able to extend her shield, everyone is protected but her right? But what if Aro's coven got into the shield, were they protected as well?
I dunno why that question bugged me so much lol i guess its because in the end with what happened with edward that made me question it.. but anyways, finished the series now and i love itttttt <3

hmm
i think so too...
if he got into the shield...he will be protected...
but some how...
i think..
it's like..
since Bella is controlling who is getting into the shield....the people outside it would not be able to go inside unless she actually extend the shield towards that person..not sure though..
hehe
bet my answer wouldn't be rite...just my guess...
am i the only one here who thinks breaking dawn is good?..
cuz most of my friends think it's crappy..
but i actually love it..
i mean..
it's not the best one out of 4 books...
but it is still good to me though......
sigh...i'm the left out one here hah...

but i do have to agree with some of you that twilight is the best one ...
freakin awesome..
i've never read any thick book...not any over 100 pages..
but it's scary how i can read twilight....
my mom thought i got some problem when she saw me sitting down quietly reading twilight nonstop....:/

^^^Everyone including bella is protected. Her shield however, is useless if Aro's coven got under the shield because it only protects against mental attacks and not physical. So they would be protected from people outside of the shield but not the people inside of the shield. So like Edward would still be able to read their minds if they were under or outside the shield but if edward were outside of the shield and they were inside the shield - he would not be able to read their minds.
And anyone can get into the shield - remember when Alice stepped through and Felix noticed it so he knew he could get into the shield? It doesn't point people away, if - say Jane walked through it - nobody is protected.

I hate this series. :\ The only book I found worth reading was the first one. I bought the second and I was OK with it but I couldn't go past page 50 on the third. It just doesn't...appeal. And I absolutely HATE Bella. She seems like one of those self-loathing types that depends on no one or on just one person. And this situation, Edward. It's like....GET A LIFE. She gave up all her friends for a GUY. I just wanna smack her because of that. >.<
And the book just seems so cliche in it's own way. The first book on it's own was fine, but Meyer made other books and it just....the plotline just...declined.
And now I realize things faster and in a broader range, and in criticizing the first book, it WAS cliche. It was just like any other Vampire Romance. Vamp meets Human. Vamp likes Human. Human likes Vamp. Vamp doesn't want to hurt Human. Human wants Vamp to make them into a Vamp. Evil people come. Vamp saves the day(s)...>.>
To say the least, I think my braindead-ness is part of this, that's basically what I see. :\
No offense, but this book is pretty....not good. It just seems like a really cliche conept and plotline. Sure, it may be long and filled with numerous characters and maybe even a few hot(? the movie!Edward sure wasn't) boys, but it doesn't mean it's good. Sure, throw in a love Triangle, makes it ALL the better....
:\ If any of you thinks this book is good, try re-reading it and thinking about other Vampire books that you have read. Your opinion might change.

omg i thought i was the only one who thought the series was very poorly written. and i swear i wanted to buy stephanie meyers a thesaraus. i mean the biggest thing i remember from the books is bella describing edward every 10 pages saying things like "god-like, glowing, statuesque, glorious, marble, cold, topaz eyes, blah blah." i felt like she was super repetitive in every book, which made it longer and unnecessary. i mean there was a point where it was hard to just read 50 pages in one sitting. and i felt like there wasnt much character development, bella was obsessive and insecure and edward was controlling and protective. i dunno, maybe im being too harsh but i really felt that stephanie meyers was just a bad writer.
that being said, i did read all 4 books because the first one was okay and i wanted to know how the story ended. i swear i barely remember the middle 2 books... probably bc the stories where pretty boring and slow. and the hype and craze over this series was so huge that i was like "am i missing something? maybe the next book will be better?" but i read all 4 and my opinion didnt change. the series is just... blah. i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
oh and i hate bella. she is THE most annoying character ive ever read about. there was so many times when i wanted to smack her for her selfish-ness and stupidity. i dunno, i think that made it harder for me to like the series bc i really didnt like the main character.
but i am still excited about the movie bc i love robert pattinson =) and im not saying the book sucked per say, but it was just extremely disappointing.

Twilight was the best, the rest sucked. I got really annoyed of how Bella kept describing Edward. It got kind of boring after the second book with the same descriptions of blah blah features and crap. Yes I hate Bella as well. She got on my nerves in the second book ... I keep telling people only to read the third because the rest just goes downhill.
I'm over this Twilight hype :\

i dislike bella at certain time..and now thinking back, Meyer made Bella different from other girls...but in fact, Bella is not any different...
and one more more thing, BELLA is as SHALLOW as any other girl...she fell for edward's look not his personality...think about it, after the first time she saw him, she likes him already...and he didnt even talk to her yet..he disappeared for a week.

*SPOILERS* Dont' Read If you haven't read all the books yet!
I've always been aware of the twilight virus, here on soompi at least,
but not until my sister mentioned to me about it did It ever really interest me.
I was like," so its a hit even in my country"
My sister bought all 4 books and I tried to read them all in one go
and my vision had to suffer with it along with my sleeping pattern, not
to mention my now-permanent headache.....
Anyway, all that drama aside, I'm still deciding whether I loved the series or not.
It was definitely everything that you'd fantasized about in a romance novel.
At least for me. It was very....visual.
I would even say that it was a perfect love story; Bella and Edward, the perfect couple.
But I think that's the problem right there, it's a romance story, and if you expect more from it,
you'd just end up being disappointed, in my case, just a tiny bit, because like I said, I don't really mind all the
romance. Still a bit disappointed though since I definitely expected way more, as in in the thrill and suspense department.
Over-all Twilight and New Moon were very Sweet Valley High with a twist,
Eclipse was like a glorified soompi fan fiction of the year.
And I definitely enjoyed the werewolf legends; they were very interesting.
Breaking Dawn was something I never expected at all.
The first half of the book, I could barely read through it. It was half gross, half hilarious.
When Bella was pregnant and they kept referring to her baby as that thing or fetus,Dawn of The Dead was in my head the whole time, especially that scene with the pregnant zombie woman and her monster baby.
I kept imagining renesmee as this disgusting monster, so the first half was very painful to read but at the same time I couldn't stop smiling at the hilarity of it all. weird.
The last few chapters were great though which made the agonizing first half worth reading, especially towards the very end with Nahuel.
For sure Breaking Dawn is something I do not ever want to see on big screen.
It's just plain weird and only made sense if you try to make a sense out of it.
I love everything that's cliche about it. I loved the romance and a little bit of action, but other than that, take my advise and don't expect too much from it.

so everyone totally hate breaking dawn?
i actually liked it .. a lot. i mean its the final happy ending for them.
as for the pregnancy, at first i was a bit shock and i thought it was unnecessary but after i thought of it better i think this is the only way for bella to bond with rosalie, i mean for real. i dont think she'll want to spend eternity with a person that doesnt approve her chose. So after that she bonds perfectly with the whole family, but yes the pregnancy was a bit .. odd.
.. and also bella being stronger than edward is kinda .. idk doesnt fit her but i think it was the only way .. i mean either that or edward left alone after she dies. So it WAS necessary for the story.
i actually like breaking dawn a lot, the honeymoon was really really sweet.. (well bella being a perv is also another odd thing but i cant imagine edward taking the 1st step most of all since he's prob the most overprotective person i can imagine.. <3)
if i do a rating...
1. twilight
2. breaking dawn
3. eclipse
4. new moon
xrosee;
Oct 27 2008, 06:58 AM
imo, breaking dawn could've been better....
i understand the concept of a "happily ever after" and with everybody on meyer's as.s about who bella will be with, who'll get the ultimate happy ending, i can see why she'd make the series ending like THAT but...... ugh. i hated it. every minute of it. first 7 chapters, she not only graduates from high school, but gets engaged, then married, then goes on a fantastic honeymoon then gets pregnant and bam! she's already showing and ready to pop out the baby in a few weeks time. and then, of course, jacob's perspective......... then renesmee! (what a god awful name T________T) and the ultimate battle.
i liked her power, though.
for me, it was twilight, eclipse, new moon and breaking dawn.

My friends keep talking abt this and I am starting to take an interest.
Judging from the comments, Twilight seems to be the best and the rest seems a bit......
I have yet to read this book due to exams. I am planning to get the book once I am done with my exams and I plan to get two at once. I've decided on Twilight and which other one out of the four do you recommend?
Or do I have to read every book to get the story?

i read the overview of breaking dawn...and its not so bad...
it kind of made sense though i can't get over the fact that she gets pregnant...
and when i was reading it there was a part ...i think...that it was jacob's point of view...
it kind of didn't make sense...but i guess it was needed...
anyways...i am going to read the book...________if i can still find it here...limited stocks and so on...
then make my official judgement...
but i still love twilight...

But I was pretty disappointed in the book >_<
Ya... i'm one of the fans that pretty much hated the ending >_> I'm terrible.
Don't ask me what I expected out of it, I just didn't expect THAT to happen and I thought it lacked a lot of explanations =(
I was really looking forward to Midnight Sun for some sort of closure, but I guess that's out of the bag now >_<

Yeah I hated the ending of the book as well. I mean I'm not an uber-fan either, but I thought that the ending was a little too "fanfiction-y." For one thing, it felt like the drama of the book was sacrifised for the safety of the characters. Not to say that I wanted someone to get hurt or anything, but with the amount of precautions the Cullens took it seemed warranted. And also the fact that that half vampire half human guy was conveniently found in enough time to prevent a battle from occurring was a less that cleverly disguised plot device. I know Alice has accurate powers for premonition but they have also been rendered useless at times. I thought it would have been a little harder to find him. I don't know, maybe I was just expecting more of a tragedy.
