I don't live in the States but the bookstore that I ordered mine from said that they will call me when they get it but I'm still going to go to the bookstore to pick mine up (even if they don't call me).

Jacob is an immature kid. I mean, after all, he's fifteen/sixteen. But once you get to Eclipse, you will understand his motives a little more (You may be clouded by what will happen in Eclipse, but hopefully it will go away and you will be able to see his motives. And by the way, I really hope I'm not making you jumpy or excited, haha. If I am, sorry!). Plus, check up on some background information about Jacob on Stephenie Meyer's website. There's a section dedicated to Jacob's perspective of the story. I think once you read it, maybe you won't hate him as much (I hated him a lot before, too, but I slowly began to like him). My memory isn't too great on whether it's Eclipse up to date or just New Moon. I advise you to read Eclipse first before you find Jacob's section.

I just started reading Twilight on Wednesday and I'm finishing it tonight.
I can't believe I've put it off for so long.
My friends have been raving about it since summer 07 and I was like ehhh...another "chick-flick" book.

But dang, lookit me now... XD

I can't wait for the fourth book to come out.

i just finished reading twilight for the third time in the past month last night. i'm actually getting ready to start reading new moon again. lol. it seriously is the most amazing book series i've ever read. i read the first three books in four days, and now i'm trying to patiently wait until august for breaking dawn. stephenie meyer is a flippin genius. the story line is so original and the characters are amazing. i'm totally in love with edward and emmett. lol.

i'm so excited for the last book. i hope borders or barnes and noble has a midnight release.

im in love with this series! its just simply addicting. and i cant wait for the movie to come out.

You should ask. I'm asking the bookstore near my place where I'm picking up my book from to see if they are doing anything special for the release since Stephanie also came to that location for book signings back in Nov. So I'm HOPING they will do something fancy.

i just finished new moon. you know i'm kinda disappointed with bella for letting her heart stray a little toward jacob. idunno. are any of you guys frustrated by that? i wish she had stayed completely loyal to edward all along instead of leaning so much on jacob and leading him on and stuff.

so should i read eclipse? will it be good or will bella be ruining things again by staying untrue and playing with jacobs feelings.

Yes!! I completely agree!! And yes, you should definitely read Eclipse because like -hanabi- said, all the books are good, although I like Twilight a lot better than the other two. :]

Okay, so I already wrote about my opinion on Twilight long ago - basically that I don't like the cliche, simplistic writing style. But since the movie's coming out and every girl Soompier seems to love it, I gave it another try and will try to read all the books before the movie comes out.

Twilight's actually tolerable the second time reading it. I hope it gets better with the next book. I'm excited about the Edward-perspective Twilight that will be published later on, one chapter is on the website.

But one thing, everyone loves Edward: Am I the only who who gets really irritated by his mood shifts? They are way too sudden and extreme, I'd get so pissed off if my boyfriend did that to me.



[Edit] Can someone tell me which book does not have Edward in it? I heard one of the books is really boring because he's basically absent from it, which one?

YES! that pissed me off to no ends. i started not to like Bella for that. then again, if i don't like her that means the writer is doing something right to make me dislike a character...just like catcher in the rye...boy..did i hate the main character...

Well for those who are still kinda new to the Twilight series. Once you read all of them in the correct order, the story explains everything (of course).

I find Stephenie as a writer much more relative than JK Rowling with her Harry Potter series because in ways, it feels real .

I am sooo excited for Breaking Dawn! Hahah it will have a happy ending just so you know because Stephenie will use "A Mid Summer Nights' Dream" references in the book !

Wow. I just realized that she likes to use a lot of classic stories as references in her books. Hmm we know New Moon has 'Romeo and Juliet', Eclispe is 'Wuthering Heights' and now the fourth book has a comedic twist !

Yeah, there are a lot of references to different books and characters - a lot of Jane Austen's characters, really. She even referenced Rotten Tomatoes. xD

No, you cannot read Breaking Dawn online. It will only be released when they release the Special Edition of Eclipse.

i remember when i went stephenie's website a long time ago and i was looking through it, she had a page where she was talking about upcoming projects and then she had a link where you could open up adobe and view the 1st chapter of breaking dawn but its not there anymore and i didn't get to read it because it wouldn't work for me

I bought Twilight yesterday and finished it in one day

I usually don't like books about vampires and such, but it was so good. I loved the characters (esp. Edward )

It took me a while before I was willing to read the series (I thought it was overrated, and I wasn't entirely wrong), but I finally bought Twilight and New Moon last April. I read them and liked them, but they're not as good as girls say they are. The plot is pretty good; it's Stephenie Meyers's writing style that brings it down. So they're only slightly above average. And I bought Eclipse the day it came out.

I've just started Twilight and really liked it but there seems to be mixed reviews on Eclipse. My sister was telling me tat I should just stop at Twilight.

eclipse was meh..it picks back up on new moon though. i would read the whole thing, it's worth it in a way.

Her writing style actually improves in Eclipse (at least I thought so). I read Eclipse and was so used to how it was written that when I returned to Twilight, I was slightly disappointed by the writing style. But I still liked the plot and the dialogue and everything about it. I just prefer Eclipse a little bit better. Maybe it will be the same for you



Oh... you kind of have to realize that Edward was gone for a while... and the only comfort she found was Jacob. With such an emotional connection and reliability, she ought to have growing feelings for Jacob because of the intimacy they shared. I understand her situation--thought I don't follow every decision that she makes happily. Sometimes I am disappointed that she made the decision to kiss Jacob! And then expressed her feelings to Jacob when he got hurt and was in his bed and went back to Edward and cried her heart out over Jacob! But I went through a situation like her, where you like two guys at the same time for two complete different reasons. When someone you love is absent, you feel lonely... and search comfort in other people.... intentionally or unintentionally. In Bella's case, it was unintentional. I think it's in our nature to feel whole and to not be lonely or alone. I don't really blame her, but if she had done things differently with Jacob, then I wouldn't scowl at her.

I hated her too for a while the first time I read it. But when I read it again, I realized that she's really similiar to me... and her situation is more realistic than we give credit for.

Yea New Moon is the second book.

yeah, I'll still going to read the whole thing. Just finish Twilight and Edward is got to be the coolest guy out there. Yeah, my sister said Eclipse was not really good cuz she didn't like how Bella's character came out or something like tat. She really liked Twilight and New Moon tho.

I haven't seen it around the site, but I did see Midnight Sun's first chapter.

I guess they had to take it down because it'll be included in the special edition release of Eclipse. But the good news is that if they're allowed to put it up again, it'll be back about a week before the release. :] *crosses fingers >___<*

i just finished new moon today.
i was pretty disappointed how jacob is like in the first 400 pages
and bella ! omg. how could she do that to edward ? letting her heart fall for jacob. even though she keeps on telling jacob that they can't be more than friends. but jacob gets all touchy with her and she doesn't even do anything

i realized how bella is lucky to have edward. i want my own edward too

anyways, im hoping that eclipse will be as good as twilight.
but my friend keeps on venting out that eclipse is just like new moon with jacob in each page
i can't wait for breaking dawn . might line up at midnight to get a copy (:
