I was JUST about to ask if there was a girl version in the guy thread. I'll ask a really vague question that really depends on the person, Ladies, what personality traits do you look for in a guy?

i mean, it all depends on the girl, but i guess we're all looking for pretty much the same things...i personally like tall, athletic and smart added to the above.

this really depends, but IMO i would like a guy that loves me no matter what, not just based on outer appearance, personality as well. he has to be nice, caring, respectful, has commonsense, able to make smart decisions, intelligent, and yeah.. i think theres more, but cant think of anymore.

oh oh, and humorous. i def love a guy who can make me laugh.

For me, what really sets a guy apart in my mind is consideration and initiative. I'm always impressed by the whole gentlemanly chivalric behavior - opening doors, offering one's jacket, being courteous towards others. I don't see it very often these days, so a guy automatically gets my attention if he does those little actions. The other really important one is initiative because I'm generally a really independent girl and people expect me to take the lead all the time. So, I like guys who make the first move and aren't afraid to go after what they want (possible failure or not). Gives me a chance to sit back and not have to work so hard for what I want.

In general though, I don't have a list of traits a guy has to have. Everyone's different, gives off different vibes, brings different things to a relationship. So, when it comes to guys, I generally look to see if they're really being themselves, if we have any chemistry and if we can have comfortable conversations with each other.

Girls tend to like guys who posess confidence. Confidence does a lot for a guy in terms of attractiveness...
Coward guyss = unattractive.

I think it's really different for every girl but FOR SURE all girls want a guy who's independent. I really hate guys who are depended on other people. someone who's strong inside and wise. someone who is really funny is a must for me hehe. I really like to laugh and someone who has personality like who isn't shy sometimes and outspoken in a way. LOL like i said, this is for me. o_o I really like a guy who's caring too :X

what would you do? or how would you react?

I dig for someone who have manner, get along well with others (esp parents, kids and grandparents), and someone who is himself. Oh, and someone who is able to deal with my attitude. =X

Honestly, I would find it cute and quite flattering.

Course everyone is different. But things I look for in a guy is someone who can handle my...flaring personality? xD Someone wity, sarcastic, funny, able to hold their ground on any debate, and with the utmost confidence--probably a bit of arrogance. Independent, honest, extremely caring, and is able to tell me the most random facts or just things I didn't even know.

that is just lovely...my boyfriend was saying bye to his cousin (she's 9) and she just waved "bye" but he bent down and gave her a big hug...i thought it was just the sweetest thing in the world.

1) Why do girls toss their hair? I always thought it was just bc they are bored and there's nothing better to do. But sometimes when i look @ a girl she automatically tosses her hair. Is that a sign of trying to attract more attention or :S???

2) How can we tell if you have a bf or not? Some girls wear rings and that is an obvious sign. However, some girls wear it for fashion purposes. Also what about bracelets and necklaces?

3) If a guy you do not know but is in your class comes up to you, and asks you on a date, what are the chances of he being shot down? Consider the guy to be average looking. This question is too arbitrary and has too many factors but please ascribe an answer in the context of this SCENARIO.

4) What are common signs of disinterest girls show to a guy if he is chasing after her and she does not want it?

Honestly, I think it's adorable! I mean, it takes guts to sing in front of your entire school and if a guy is willing to do that for you, then he's really something. Not every guy is that courageous.

1. Well, for me, I toss my hair because it's in my way.
2. The only way to be sure is to ask the girl herself because it's not obvious with every girl. Like for me, I just keep the fact that I have a bf to myself unless someone asks. That's just how I am, it doesn't mean anything.
3. Pretty high, considering the fact that I don't know him. Therefore, I'm not sure if he's a safe person to be around or not. A better way is to make small talk with her first, and then, ask her out on a date.

Girls toss their hair for many reason. I only toss my hair when it gets in the way. I'm not sure who would toss their hair for hinting signs.

You can't really tell if the girl is single or taken not unless you ask her. More like the "only" way to find out.

Random guy? 90% turn down. 10% wondering why. (at least for me)

It varies from girl to girl. I would say the most common one is by ignoring him or being irritated by them. Some actually confront them, lol.

why do girls feel the need to go shopping all the time when they have a gazillon clothes in their closet when they dont even wear about 1/3 of them?

well... I rarely shop because it's quite boring.. From what I see (living in a house of six sisters), I would say it's the "new style" or need something new to wear.

well sometimes i want to have something new to wear~ you know, spice up my wardrobe once in a while
besides, shopping is also sort of a social experience lol; i go out with my girl friends to shop a lot during the summer

because after girls wear an item of clothing a few times, it somehow just doesn't look good in her eyes anymore.
so she has to buy new clothes to replace old ones!!!!

1. From biology class, we learned that a lady does that to show off her hair so ppl/men could see if she's healthy etc. Since to us humans, hair is the first thing we look at and shows that the person is healthy. Another thing is, yeah, she's trying to attract more attention and all.

Well for me, it's commitment, trust, and honesty.
For me, it's personality. I mean, looks do matter too, but not as much as personality.

Eh.. for me, as long as he's honest, caring, open about himself, confident, and takes responsibility. Those are pretty much common. I don't really feel like making a list, haha. (but what most girls mention, are pretty much the same for me as well)



guys that sing with an average voice(as long as it doesn't hurt my ears), with a sweet song is lovable in my book.

Some girls like to keep up with the latest trend. Others may just need new clothes because they grew out of it, as in, lost interest in.

-uh, no. you have to be decent, i don't want to cringe waking up every morning seeing you. But really, girls are more into personality than looks. Once they meet a guy who is average, or even below average, she gets to know him, and BAM. He becomes hot in her eyes. YUP.
-get to know me first before asking. Really though, something polite and easygoing yet honest kind of approach. *creativity is a plus*

WHY DO GIRLS STARE AT BONERS?
they do that too much and i think the girls eyes just locks on to them like magnets or something like that of some sort.

So a good friend of mine (Have a crush on her, but yeah that's not what it's about) asked me if I wanted to come to her soccer game. I go and everything and after the game she doesn't act as if I exist. A few of her friends were there, but I'm on good terms with them and we all usually talk amongst each other, but she was just talking to one friend and shunning me.

Now I'm just confused..... What does this mean, is she angry at me? What is she doing?
