i watched it a couple of times already.. i got bored of it though because it was overrated when i visited the philippines
i would see mandy moore & the main actor everywhere..

Bck then I would watch it like every weekend with my older sister, I got the DVD.
The movies was very sad and touching and the OST for the movies were very sweet esp. the one she sang at the play.

This movie was a very teen movie. I actually liked the Notebook better as a movie. But the book version of A Walk to Remember is so much better than the book version of the Notebook.

This movie is definitely one of my all-time favorites!!! I started to like Mandy Moore as an actress after watching this. She was a revelation.

the book is more in depth of the story though. the first time i watched it i thought it was sad and my sister cried

Actually there's an interview with Sparkes where he talks about how you can believe that she didn't die at the end at all and that's how he wrote it.

I find it very touching on how the story was inspired by his sister's life, Danielle Sparks Lewis.
Danielle met a man who wanted to marry her, "even when he knew she was sick, even when he knew that she might not make it" - what Nicholas Sparks said in a speech after his sister passed away from cancer.
It's very sweet how he dedicated the novel and movie to her.



I read that interview. At the end of the novel, I believe she lived. I like to believe thats the miracle she wanted to witness. =]

Loved the book. Made me cry actually. BUT the movie was horrid! I tend to not compare the book with the movie too much because I try to be fair to the movie... esp cause the book is usually better. But man... the movie was unbearable. Mandy Moore butchered Jamie. She is a very bad actress.

Book wise, I liked A Walk To Remember more than The Notebook. But movie wise, The Notebook was way better.
