trailerI haven't watched the previous Hulk yet (Eric Bana) though I heard some good reviews
for this one it's Edward Norton, I think he'll do great, since he's good at playing unusual role
QUOTE
The explosive, action-packed adventure in one of the all-time most popular superhero sagas unfolds with a cure in reach for the world's most primal force of fury: THE INCREDIBLE HULK. We find scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) living in shadows, scouring the planet for an antidote. But the warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won't leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler). Upon returning to civilization, our brilliant doctor is ruthlessly pursued by The Abomination (Tim Roth) -- a nightmarish beast of pure adrenaline and aggression whose powers match The Hulk's own. A fight of comic-book proportions ensues as Banner must call upon the hero within to rescue New York City from total destruction. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice -- accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or the creature he could permanently become: THE INCREDIBLE HULK.
Edward Norton ... Bruce Banner
Liv Tyler ... Betty Ross
Tim Roth ... Emil Blonsky

Think of this version as a reboot of the franchise. As much as I like Bana and (especially!) Connelly, Ang Lee wasn't the right person for the job; the movie was brutal.

Edit: wow, this post is almost one year old.
Anyway, I kinda want to see it now, since Ang Lee isn't directing this one.

Making another version of the Hulk is kind of dumb, considering Ang Lee's Hulk is probably still fresh in people's minds. Maybe in another 15-20 years, another version would've been great.
And i liked Eric Bana as the Hulk, although I hated his crying scene. Liv Tyler as Betty seems ok.

look at it like this
it's not another version of the hulk but a continuation (sp?) of the incredible hulk..... unlike DC, Marvel's movies go on and aren't remakes of old movies....
the only good thing about ang lee's hulk was the way he did the comic book layout thing... ya
i'm actually excited for this one b/c of edward norton, i wonder how it'll turn out

But he's a great actor so this could be a pretty good movie!

Plot Summary: "The Incredible Hulk" kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular superheroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk.
Living in the shadows--cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)--Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power.
As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside--The Incredible Hulk.

Characters: Edward Norton as Dr. Bruce Banner / The Hulk: A genius scientist who, because of exposure to gamma radiation coupled with childhood trauma, transforms into the Hulk when stressed or enraged.[3] Eric Bana turned down reprising the role, as he viewed the first film as a one-off opportunity.[8] Norton was a fan of the character, particularly his first appearances in the comics as well as the TV show and Bruce Jones' run on the comic.[9] He had expressed interest in the role for the first film.[10] The filmmakers were interested in Norton because he reminded them of Bill Bixby, who played Banner in the TV series.[11] Lou Ferrigno, who played the Hulk with Bixby, stated that Norton reminded him of the actor, as "he has a similar physique, [and a] similar personality."[12] Zak Penn also compared Norton's character in Fight Club to that of Banner.[13]
Liv Tyler as Betty Ross: Bruce's girlfriend, whom he is separated from due to his condition. Tyler replaced actress Jennifer Connelly, who portrayed Betty Ross in the 2003 film Hulk.[14] Tyler was attracted to the love story in the script, and was a fan of the TV show, because of the "humanity and what [Banner] is going through".[9]
Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky: A KGB agent who exposes himself to gamma radiation to gain the Hulk's powers. Unable to change back into human form, he seeks his revenge on Banner.[4] Roth described playing the role as fun, and making the film was about pleasing his sons. He stated, "Pure, on set, all I'm asking is, 'Okay, this has got to be a cool shot for my kids, all right? Am I going to look cool in this shot?' It's truly about that for me, completely about that."[15] The character is known as the "Abomination" in the comics, but Zak Penn considered this name too silly, and he will only be referred to as Blonsky on screen.[13] In another deviation from the comics, Blonsky will not have a Russian accent. "They wouldn't pay for a dialect coach", Roth joked.[16]
William Hurt as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross: Betty's father, who has dedicated himself to capturing the Hulk.[17] Sam Elliott stated he would have liked to have reprised the role, noting it was odd seeing someone take his role, "but I'll be looking forward to seeing this one".[18]
Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns: A scientist.[19]
Ty Burrell as Doc Samson.[20]
Lou Ferrigno has a cameo in the film.[12]

Did the old Hulk movie bomb or something? Why did they replace Eric Bana, that's kind of sad.. I love Eric Bana.
But I love Edward Norton more, so I'm not complaining. This man has never made a bad movie, and he's hot!

They're making a new Hulk movie because they really want a big and successful Hulk franchise since the Hulk is such an iconic Marvel comic book figure.
I think I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed the version with Eric Bana, but I can understand why people didn't like it. It wasn't as action packed as all the other super hero movies were.
I'm kind of tired of the superhero genre. Even with Ironman I was really hesitant with, but there RDJ came to save the movie. XD I can only hope the Hulk will make a believer out of me ( which I doubt; love you Ed Norton but seriously, I'm tired of the Hulk being shoved in my face).

So i went to watch this movie yesterday and although it wasn't the best movie that came out from marvel it did improve on the first Hulk. It is definitely more darker and more exciting to watch.
There were landscape shots of several different places around the world and it looked really good showing where they were if it got a bit confusing jumping from one place to another.
Norton did a good job too as he always does in every role but he has this particular facial expression that always reminds me of him as Derek in American History X.. evil.. evil
anyway it's a good movie 7/10 .. go watch it!

Since there's going to be a whole bunch of movies from marvel coming out in the new few years, I wanna watch all of them just to see it tie in; I saw a commercial for it and Iron man [robert downey jr/tony stark] was in it [i know it's probably just a short cameo lol], so that makes me even more exited :]] oh, did anyone watch it yet and stayed to the end? Is there a secret scene? eheheh

SEXY EDWARD!!! Gash, I love this guy to death~!
But that was for American History X, and he had to gain like 30-40 lbs but lost it all again after the movie. I guess he just can't keep weight on him, he looked best in that movie. He's still adorable though, really grows on you. <3

It doesn't matter that Edward Norton is skinny. He's supposed to be, actually. He's a physicist. He's not supposed to be muscular or anything. He turns into the Hulk when he's set off. Think of it as polar opposites.

Wow. I feel the exact opposite. I can't stand the man's voice.
And while he is nerdy, not in the hot way, he also reminds me of a psychotic rapist.

I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but I ended being surprised by how much I liked it. (I haven't seen Ang Lee's "Hulk".) However, if Ed Norton wasn't in it, I probably wouldn't have seen it in the first place. As usual, he doesn't disappoint...not to mention he is extremely, extremely, attractive.
I still laugh at the part near the end when Hulk splits apart the police car and bangs the two ends together, hahaha.
