I've read a lot of post from some forums in Vietnam. There's a Vietnam's new boyband named WeBoys of Wepro production. I think every DongBang's fans are listened to Try My Love . It was a song in DBSK's Japan first live concert. and WeBoys, they sing and dance a song named "Baby biet yeu" as it mean =A Baby knows how to love >< The moves in their song looked like DBSK's dance move in Try My Love. And even if it wasn't . There was some freaking Weboys's fan said that DBSK copied Weboys. As you know, DBSK is a famous Korean Boyband and Weboys is just a new boyband in Vietnam, they can't compare to DBSK. So DBSK copy Weboys is impossible because DBSK don't even know who are Weboys. And when Viet Cassiopeia talked to the Manager of Weboys's fanclub, they even said that Dbsk's dance move was even worse than that infamous Weboys whatever....And that company of Weboys: Wepro, they think they are as good as SM Town and they called them selves: SM Town of Vietnam . They think they are so good. weboys suck

i listened to that group Baby Biet Yeu of Weboys and no offense, but I don't like their songs...i don't think they're that good. but anywayz. everyone copies each other. That's how trends start. No biggie. Let's not a make a fuss about this.

Agreed. Instead of saying that 'WeBoys' copied DBSK, you could have said that 'WeBoys' dances and music was similar. It shows respect for both music groups and you a more mature person by not being another person who complained and bashed another group about precious DBSK. My two cents. But the thing that Weboys's fans said that DBSK copied them made me really angry and they even said Weboys's dance are much better than DBSK >< I was really unhappy and almost cry. anyhoo, people are quite sensitive when the word "copy" is used. As a DBSK fan, I dont think they "copy" anyone. They are rather INFLUENCED in some of the things they do. Every artist is influenced by other entertainers anyway.

But listening to the song, it's very different. The choreography was similar, but DBSK's choreography is hardly groundbreaking and original in itself
also the "Viet celebrities suck" stuff? it's hardly a secret that a lot of popular V-pop songs are covers. So if the new group had covered Try My Love, it'd hardly be the end of the world now, would it? lol Saying they "suck" for making covers isn't fair. It's just the way the Viet music industry is and, hopefully as it develops more, that'll change.

BUt practically everywhere, people "copy" or remake their own versions of particular songs, so its all good, everyone does it. To be honest, I kind of like other countries releasing thier own version of a particular song, I can start a collection and if its in a language that I don't understand, I can then later understand it

I don't think they're copying DBSK. Of course they can't compare to DBSK but they're not that similar. The only thing they have in common is the hat... and lot's of people wear that in performances nowadays.

I feel really offend with some comments saying Vietnamese people suck.

The only similar thing I see are the hats. I don't see how that is "copying" the Dong Bang boys at all. It's not like they own the use of the hats. I've seen BoA use a hat during the promotion of Sweet Impact that is similar to the hat that the Dong Bang boys used. Does that mean BoA "copied" DBSK too?

That's not true. It's exactly the opposite. Right now korean entertainment is really big in Vietnam. People watch all the korean dramas and everything. I know that a lot of people like Bi/Rain too.

I don't get that why if one artist does something, suddenly anyone else who does it is copying. If that was the case, music videos.. nay, music, would not exist. In this case, they both used hats. It's like saying BoA copied Britney Spears' 'Stronger' video because she was alone in a room on a chair and Britney Spears copied the Backstreet Boys' 'As Long As You Love Me' because she danced with a chair.

Moves and concepts are copied over and over again, it's the interpretation that makes it different.

Anyway... It's not the first time that this has happened. People copy from each other all the time in the entertainment industry. It's just that Viet music isn't as... popular as compared to Kpop or Jpop that it's just... I don't know. But it's there and easier to get away with unlike in America or whatever place.

I'm viet and well, the current music that is being put out right now in vietnam isn't really that good. I think now, more newer viet singers are trying out the western influence which is why they tend to mimick what other singers do, and obviously it won't do very well for them because they just don't have it. Older singers of Vietnam as in the old songs by more experience singers (I'm so bad with names so I won't try LOL) are what really defines Vietnamese music. I wouldn't say viet music is that popular since they really have a long way to go to reach a certain height in their industry, but I just don't see why koreans or japanese or chinese bands/singers copy western singers or do remakes of their song don't get bash that much. Whereas when the viets do it..its like wtf?

It's a shame that now most tend to copy instead of trying out their own thing, but its how the entertainment world is.
