what about other albums that have the advisory stickers on it? i think people tend to always forget its only rap and hip hop albums that have suggestive lyrics. what about rock, and pop albums?

to answer the question being asked in the topic:

no. i dont think it should be censored. people can decide whether or not they want to listen to a certain type of music.

I don't think it should be censored. There's a PA sticker on the front of a CD for a reason. Also, it's freedom of speech. People who listen are listening at their own risk. They've been warned, so they can't complain later about it 'offending' him/her. The whole controversy surrounding the bad rep that Hip Hop is getting for its lyrical content as well as the demand/supply issue is complicated. I know from my five years experience of being involved with Hip Hop.

i also dont think it should be censored. people can choose for themselves whether they want to listen or not, its not like they're not warned.

No censorship what so ever.
Like some other posts say, it's not only Rap & Hiphop.
There's punk, rock & even r&b with lyrics that aren't proper for everyone.
Plus if you're offended by something that an artist says, then don't listen to it.

& freedom of speech.
imo, lyrics/music is a way a person can state his/her beliefs.
with censorship, he/she can't.
