The Breakfast Club movie came out in 1985. I know it's an old movie, but I think people of all generations love it.

Plot Synopsis

John Hughes wrote and directed this quintessential 1980s high school drama featuring the hottest young stars of the decade. Trapped in a day-long Saturday detention in a prison-like school library are Claire, the princess (Molly Ringwald); Andrew, the jock (Emilio Estevez); John, the criminal (Judd Nelson); Brian, the brain (Anthony Michael Hall); and Allison, the basket case (Ally Sheedy). These five strangers begin the day with nothing in common, each bound to his/her place in the high school caste system. Yet the students bond together when faced with the villainous principal (Paul Gleason), and they realize that they have more in common than they may think, including a contempt for adult society. "When you grow up, your heart dies," Allison proclaims in one of the film's many scenes of soul-searching, and, judging from the adults depicted in the film, the teen audience may very well agree. Released in a decade overflowing with derivative teen films, The Breakfast Club has developed an almost cult-like status.

Iridescence
Oh, my goodness. Who hasn't seen this movie? I've seen this movie like fifty times. It's such a fun movie to watch, with interesting characters.

Remember that one girl like shook all the dandruff in her hair onto her drawing to make it look like snow? THAT WAS THE SHIZZLAY. lol.

I am such a sucker for John Hughes' movies!

I watched it for a psychology class. We were supposed to analyze the characters' personalities, but I ended up being too absorbed into the movie. xD The girl with the serious bad hair problem cracks me up.

Same here. We were supposed to analyze how their problems connected to each other and how it connected to growing up during the adolescent stage.

love those movies too. they play breakfast club all the time on AMC i think. had a crush on Emilio Estevez. hehe. did you know Molly Ringwald was suppose to play Demi Moore's character in Ghost but she turned it down and she turned down Pretty Woman (Julia Roberts role). what was she thinking?

I love this movie. My favorite were the nerd boy and the weird girl. They were so funny.

The scene where they all got high was a little strange though.
