Oh, god, I HATE Reggaeton! I feel like I'm the only Hispanic in my area who does.
I don't really listen to contemporary either (well, aside from Elvis Crespo and no, not Suavemente). I like to take comfort in greats like The Salsa Queen, Celia Cruz, Wilfrido Vargas, Johnny Ventura, and random merengue, bachata, and salsa groups.
I have been trying to get into the rock scene because I love rock in just about every langauge I listen to (too long to list), so why not listen to it in Spanish. So far, I've run into a lot of politcal rock bands, which is okay. They tend to be ska or punk rock, though. I'd like something harder.
haha...i think u really are

Oh, do you guys like to listen to old Mariachi bands? I can't name any because I've never ventured far into the genre, but since where I live has a large Mexican population, just about everyone has heard Tejano, Mexicana, and/or Mariachi since their childhood (even if they aren't Mexican).
mariachi?

The only Latin music I listen too is merengue, salsa, rock, and some pop.
I really don't like reggaeton. I mean it's ok, but after a while I get tired of it.
Some latin ballads are good too, but only the old ones.
Bachatas are good as well.
which rock bands do u listen to?
bachata's awesome..
