sasuke didn't want to do itachi a favor by killing naruto. that would make things easier for itachi. also, he didn't wanna be like his brother by killing his bestfriend

^he wanted to kill naruto to gain the power to kill itachi...phew, that's a mouthful...sorta. sasuke, who's a genuine genius couldn't accept the fact that even as a genius, he was weaker than naruto. he become scared and sought power any way possible.

sasuke is cooler in the manga now though.

he's just as bit--y as ever.. i mean it's cool that he's all powered up and what not but his attitude is that of a pricks.

^i have to admit his development is pretty amazing... but the fact that he takes drugs is a bit of a turn-off... and what's with the outfit? i know he's an orochi-groupie now and what not but damnz boy, don't go around barechested when you got nothing worth showing, you know what i mean?

Sasuke isn't really a genius. If you remember Sasuke childhood flashback, you found out that he is just like Naruto; a hard worker. Also, the whole thang with Naruto getting stronger than Sasuke was just a small piece of the reasons he choose to leave. The catalyst is when Itachi spank him badly, and Itachi was there for Naruto and not for his little brother.

Even though I don't really like Sasuke, I can't help but admit I do sorta dig him. As a character, his development is much more interesting than the main character.

Its because of the Uchiha name that people think Sasuke is a genius. They were the most feared clan in all of Konoha after all.

eh.. I guess that acceptable, how far is the American Naruto series? If they haven't gotten to Sasuke's past then I can understand, but other then that I dont see any real reason to believe that.

There are different types of geniuses. Shikamaru is an intellectual genius, whereas Sasuke is a ninjutsu/taijutsu genius. It's apples and oranges.

according to the anime, he was alone since birth. whoever his parents mightve been, they probably died during the battle against the kyuubi [the rumor of yondaime being the father] and maybe died while giving birth [the mysterious mother who is never mentioned or talked about].

I found ep 198 interesting. Good ol' mystery storyline...and some old school antics were pulled on us...good build up to where the ep cuts off right when it gets interesting...grrrrr.

i really liked episode 198!! =] but when it ended i was like noooo!! haha this is one of the best filler episodes i've seen. x] its getting interesting.

the hype is nothing but good, the manga chapter is moving pretty nice IMO, you dont want the manga to be too hasty or it wont be as enjoyable as people might think.

^ I want to know what Kakashi wants to show Naruto too... maybe his face??? Heheheh or that stone maybe?? Maybe he wants to tell Naruto about his past. I dont know....

I haven't read the latest manga chapter, but I wouldn't necessarily say that just because Naruto may/will develop ONE super strong move that he's stronger than Sasuke. He still has very limited special techniques. The only major techniques he currently has is kage bunshin, and rasengan, and if you want to add that summon frog technique (though he rarely uses it and rarely summons the frog king). And even with those techniques like rasengan, and the next super technique he learns, Naruto is still too slow to even touch Sasuke with it.

Plus the fact that stronger may not be better in some cases. If you look at all the jinchurikis demon tails (or however u spell it), they're all super strong and can kill with one hit. But as u see, all the akatsuki has to do is outsmart them and the demon tails get defeated.

I liked episode 198, haha it's really interesting, excited for the next episode & the previews for 200.

i was always afraid to go in here because i'm MAJORLY behind on both the manga and the anime. i've only watched the anime up to episode 88 and i never got around to reading the manga....so now i'm starting off where i stopped watching

i have dialup....-*sigh*...parents...T_T- so i can't download the episodes and i havta wait for one of my friends(the only person who i can get the episodes from) to give them to me, so it's a sad existence i live...
