same here i like her how she sings and dances LIVE occasionally when she performs . im really fine with lipsynce as long as the song is fast and the singer has to dance...if it is a slooowwww song and they still need to lipsync .. then that's a no no for me ;(

but CY is a good singer..she can sing LIVE and is good at it ~)

Actually Chae Yeon always sang live really often!! I'm surprised that people always label her as a lipsync singer just because she's a dance singer. I remember even in her first album she sang live most of the time. I've seen her sing live more than half the time for all of her singles, and she's sang live in evey performance of "Third Love" she has NOT even lipsynced once on that song!!



THis is really being objective, but I've never seen Chae Yeon sing out of tune. Sometimes her voice does seem worn out, but never out of tune. She may not be Mariah Carey, but she's sings live pretty similar to the recording. A remember even a famous Korean ballad singer, I forgot his name, but he said that he heard Chae Yeon sing a ballad song live, in a concert before she got famous, and he told her that if her dance songs don't work out she really should turn to ballad. He said that her voice has a melancholy tone to it and is very soothing to listen too!!!

^about Chae Yeon-- so far i've never heard her sing out of tune before. but then again she's always been singing fast songs.. maybe it'd be a different case if she did ballads. there were a couple of good ballads on her Vol2 album, and a few on her Vol3 too.. but i doubt they'd ever become singles.

Agree. I would say about 70% of her perfs are live. she is not a lipsync singer!!!
Most of "Third Love" are live (I have seen few that lipsync), and all "Third Love" perfs at SBS are LIVE.

I don't know his name since its Korean so it hard to remember.... I never called him a wise man! LOL, but I remembered his face because he used to be popular in the 90's... but he's kinda old now. He's is really tall, thin, and has a really unique voice. Sorry, that's not a very good description! BUt he also changes his hair color all the time. He could be considered rock because some of his songs are slow ballad/rock, while most are ballads.

Also, just an extra info that most of you may not know: Chae Yeon had a ballad in her first album, which I heard her sing live once. I think it was in Inki Gayo. I don't know if it was a single, but she sang the song in live really well! The song didn't have a big range though. ANyone also remember?? I remember someone in here mentioned it before, too!!
