NHK’s MUSIC JAPAN’s Midsummer Party
NHK’s MUSIC JAPAN is holding a special event called 「ＭＵＳＩＣ ＪＡＰＡＮ～ネオ・ビジュアル系 真夏の宴２００８～」 (～Neo Visual kei Manatsu no Utage 2008～; Neo Visual kei Midsummer Party).

It’ll be taking place on July 14th at NHK Hall in Tokyo. The door opens at 6:00 and the first performance is at 7:30. They plan to have everything wrapped up by 9:30.

The bands that are making an appearance that night are アリス九號． (Alice Nine)、アンティック-珈琲店- (Antic Cafe)、ＬＭ.Ｃ、ｔｈｅ ＧａｚｅｔｔＥ、Ｄ、ナイトメア (Nightmare)、Ｐｌａｓｔｉｃ Ｔｒｅｅ and ムック　(Mucc).

Tickets are free, but as they’ve done with events in the past you have to entry a lottery to attend. If you win a ticket in the lottery, it will admit two people. Ticket applications are finished on June 23rd.

The event will also be broadcasted on TV about a month later on August 28th. The broadcast will start at 12:10am and last for half an hour.

Plastic Tree’s new album!

Plastic Tree will be releasing a new album called 「ウツセミ」 (Utsusemi) on September 24th!

It’s coming out in two types; the first press edition is 3800 yen and comes with a DVD that contains footage from the band’s special public performance which Asakusa Hanayashiki (which is a park).

The regular press is 3000 yen, contains the CD only and comes with two bonus tracks.

Plastic Tree's Christmas Eve Release

Plastic Tree's upcoming DVD will be released on December 24th. Though currently untitled, it is known that the DVD will be available in two editions, the limited of which will include a bonus DVD and T-shirt.

Plastic Tree loses Hiroshi

Plastic Tree has announced that their drummer, Sasabuchi Hiroshi, will be leaving the band. His reason for leaving is he has decided to pursue a different path from band activities.

His final performance with the band will be at their fan club only show on March 19th at Shibuya-AX. He hopes that fans can continue to support the band, and offers his deep apologies for the sudden announcement.

New single

I recently received an e-mail from HMV that they are releasing a new single. There isn't much info on it other than the release date which is 2009/06/10 and that there are three types (A, B, Regular Edition).

Plastic Tree will release an as-yet-untitled new single on June 10th. Exact details have not yet been revealed but the single will be released in 3 versions. Type A will come with a DVD containing the single's PV as well a off-shot footage, Type B will come with a DVD containing live and documentary material and Type C will be a CD-only version.

Plastic Tree revealed more information regarding their upcoming single, Fukurou, set to be released on June 10th. The single, their first after the departure of drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi, will include the title-track and the B-side Consent. and will be available in four editions. The type A limited edition will feature the instrumental counterparts of both main tracks and a DVD of Fukurou's music video and making-of footage. Type B will also include both instrumental versions, with a DVD with footage from their concert held at NHK Hall on January 30th and a documentary featuring scenes from the recording period. The regular edition, which will also be available in SHM-CD format including a download of each member's voice, will contain an additional track called Bermuda Triangle.

After the departure of their drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi in March, Plastic Tree have revealed his replacement. Having been involved with the band as a support member since Sasabuchi's departure, new drummer Satou KenKen has joined the band as an official member, as of July 3rd. Plastic Tree's Best-of Album

Plastic Tree will release a best-of album, titled Gestalt houkai, on August 26th, which will display their change in sound since their previous best-of albums Kuro-ban and Shiro-ban in 2005. Few details are currently known regarding the tracklist, but it is known that the regular edition will include two bonus tracks and that the CD+DVD will come with live footage.
