It was incredible. While her performance in StarKing was much more entertaining and all, her performance in Ellen was jawdropping. There were no echoes or music or noise to rely on, Charice had to rely on her voice and her voice alone. OMG when she sang Whitney's I Will Always Love you with no background music to go with, I don't think people can say she's lip synching anymore! Haha I also wanted to hear her sing Listen because that's one of her best renditions.

Proud of you Charice! Awesome. I hope USA doesn't ignore this talented girl.

I have a feeling they will. At the most, she'll probably be in the genre Josh Groban is in, but i don't think she has the right formula to be in US mainstream pop. Yes, she can sing really well; no doubt about that, but she's not really marketable. Working at a music production studio and seeing how producers do business makes you really see how evil the music business really is...or the mainstream pop that is. So many great singers come in but alot get rejected because they weren't "marketable" enough...the polite way to say a singer is not sexy enough in the music biz.

She probably got all this attention because of her singing ability at this age as well, but i think when she becomes 18, alot of singers will catch up and alot more will be more marketable, and they'll probably get the record deal because they'll fit what the public expects. At most I think she'll be a local celebrity in the country she originated from. That's the music business for ya.
