Cosplay stands for Costume Play, which means you dress up as characters from comic/anime/manga/movie and also real life person such as musicians.

After checking her site again, I'm QUITE sure it stopped after last year... August - October? The last cosplay they were both involved together would probably be Togainu no chi?

It's almost impossible to see ANY of Kage at Stay's site already- I remember her userpic used to be her and Kage together...

The next album featured a not-as-appealing side kick (as compared to Kage)


It's kinda sad to see stuff like these happening... And there was the Minye / Karum and Akuna thingy too... (Apparently Minye's teaming up with Miluku and bashing other cosplayers like Cong and Huangshan as well :x)

Just read Kurosaki Kage's blog here- Seems like she's giving up cosplay for a while to concentrate on other areas in her life- Says that she will soon be rearranging her photos and posting them up, though there won't be any new cosplay for at least another one or two years- However she hopes that if there's a chance in the future, she would like to return as a cosplayer.

Well the world of them cosplayers are hugely complicated, like how Huangshan used to get help with his cosplays from Cong and now they're not even talking to each other at all...

Well, each to their own stories I guess, but what I've heard was that mainly Minye and Miluku are the real nasty ones in the picture- I've read a post (which I think has already been taken down) in Miluku's blog, where they were saying (indirectly) how cong photoshops her pictures too much and they(Miluku and Minye) can still look better without photoshop (which I don't think so, especially when their make up skills were copied off Cong's Petshop of Horrors cosplay).

This is Cong's- I'm not trying to bash any cosplayers, just that I feel they should at least have a little conscience of what they're saying when they do stuff like this...

Personally I kind of don't like their attitude of showing off their cosplays so... *shrugs*

The world of cosplayers is very complicated, friendships come and go; alliances are made and broken. Remember H? She used to be Minye's friend (I've posted non-cosplay pictures of them together here before) and now Minye has totally disassociated herself from H. Hmm... from what I've gathered, it does look like Minye is the bad egg (but I must admit I am a bit biased). Akuna disses Minye alot in her diary entries...

Just read Hei Qi Ying's explanation on her site, it appears that her decision to pursue higher priorities and take direction of her life has been influenced by... and/or she has become a follower/believer/member (I am not sure what the correct terminology is) of Scientology. And she has moved away by herself to another part of Taiwan, to Gao Xiong.

^ I don't think it's the drama of the cosplay world that caused her to turn to Scientology but more the reverse... something more like Scientology has made her realise that there's most important things in life and cosplaying can take a back seat for now.

^ Who knows? HQY (Hei Qi Ying... bah I am lazy XD) only mentioned that perhaps in a year or two she might return to cosplaying. Neither Stay nor HQY has mentioned each other in their respective blogs. And it's going to take some time before HQY puts up her pictures because her current site isn't a free domain and she doesn't want to pay for it... so she's looking for a free domain for now.

With the Somei/Karum, Akuna and Minye thing, it was something like Minye and Karum used to be together (which was probably why in DF - Dragon Fly, their old cosplay group, Minye was referred to as "Daddy", Karum was "Mummy", Mao was "Son" and the Shinya twin... forgot her non-Chinese name o.O Nariko/Noriko? was "Daughter") Anyway Minye abandoned Karum and Akuna stepped in. It's fairly obvious that Akuna and Karum are very close so it makes sense that Akuna doesn't like Minye at all...

What happened between Huangshan & Cong or Miluku & Huangshan?

I really miss the DF days, the entire group has split up now... Minye, Miluku and Gui Luo = one group... Mao and Shinya's twin = another group... Karum is off with Akuna... and no idea what has happened to Chimai and L'heure.

ah no offense but...miluku's makeup to me is weird...

Miluku's entire face, especially her eyes, are a bit odd to me... but I do like the costumes and her longgg limbs.

The whiteness is probably a combo of lighting, foundation and predominantly photoshop XD

The ones more popular in the thread are:

Congtian, Huangshan, Minye, Miluku (These are from Mainland China)

Stay, Kurosaki Kage, Akuna, Somei/Karum, Nao, Kin, etc... (These are from Taiwan)

Of course, there are the share of Japanese cosplayers, but don't know most of them (except for Kanata)
Seems like most of the cosplayers are from Taiwan...

I have completely NO idea what was going on between Miluku and Huangshan, but don't like either one of them. (Miluku looks weird, maybe it's just me; And from what I've heard between Congtian and Huangshan, HS is a very hypocritical person)

The Minye and Akuna/Somei thingy was a fairly large issue quite a few pages back though~ But yeah, according to Akuna, seems like Minye's the real baddy. ><

Seems like a high price to pay for being so talented and good looking, yeah? =(

I like how the cosplayers have gone International =D

1) Shiina Sakuya are popular in China, from what I heard. She went there for quite a number of times and also act as a judge at some competition.

2) Kaya and Shiguma went to China recently as guests, if I'm not mistaken. They also went to Korea along with Kouji, Yuu, Tokiwo and other Japanese cosplayers. I guess they're REALLY popular around the region XD
