I remember coming across a pic of a Gloomy Bear cosplay costume that was hand-made, but I can't find it now. But, I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of fabric and material was used to make the costume? I want to cosplay as Kon from Bleach. lol. Thx in advance!

hm...i don't think akuna and somei are in THAT kind of relationship
they are just super close, especially since they are working hard together for Velvet Paradise
they're trying to make their dream of being clothing designers come true ^^ kinda like parakiss~

What happened between Huangshan & Cong or Miluku & Huangshan?

I really miss the DF days, the entire group has split up now... Minye, Miluku and Gui Luo = one group... Mao and Shinya's twin = another group... Karum is off with Akuna... and no idea what has happened to Chimai and L'heure.

IMO, Karum's the only cosplayer Ive seen who's done Reira justice.. she's gorgeous!!!

Oh~ HQY & Stay's Naruto+AS cosplays are nice!! I like the Naruto ones the most! For some odd reason I suddenly want to pinch Stay's nose.. XDD

She shut down her site before, but after she reopened it, her gallery has been password protected since somebody took her pics and posted them in LiveJournal claiming that it belongs to her. The person made an LJ account and uses a lot of Ayato's pics and also posted them in Death Note LJ comm. Someone busted her and now the account has been deleted.

Nope, I don;t know the password. Not just her gallery, but her friend Aki AMamiya who also got her pics stolen also shut down her site and she just reopened it recently, and yes, with password-protected gallery. We all know what that means ^^;;

^ Yeah he was in Guangzhou for a gathering involving cosplayers from all over China at some hotel. How is Guangzhou these days? I was born there and lived there til I was 8, the last time I saw the city was when I was 12 which is a very long time ago * oldie * ... The thing with cosplayers from mainland China is that China is a big place and they're not all from the same place so maybe that's why they tend to grow apart... In comparison, Taiwan is much more compact so they it feels like the cosplayers all know each other.

Cosplayers are amazing I swear! The clothing and effort they put into their costumes is mindblowing. Cosplaying ain't cheap.

I was wondering, do cosplayers get any money for what they do? Contests I know, but for the really good ones? Its just too amazing that they share their pics and aren't getting rewarded. I'm a newbie to this cosplaying concept so don't bash my ignorance too bad okay? LOL.

↑ Nope, cosplayers don't get paid (I've heard this alot of times- Even before I started cosplaying I never really thought that cosplayers got paid. O__O Although I believe cosplayers like Cong and HS, they release photobooks and stuff, but that's only because their work are considered professional, and there is a market for it. I would buy a Cong photobook too =)

Other than that, I believe we pay for everything- Props, costumes, wig, materials... I guess the reason why there are so many cosplayers willing to fork out for their cosplays is because they're really passionate for it. It's kind of difficult to do a proper cosplay if you really don't have the passion for it- A few of my friends wanted to cosplay after getting influenced but- They never really got around doing it, mainly because of how much a costume costs, and the time and energy you have to spend on it.

My Rabi costume for example, done from scratch as in- From buying cloth and everything, to the props and shoes- Cost me about US$250- Here was the result:

As for the second one, Heck yes! Yuu doesn't have Myspace. In fact, most Japanese, if not all, don't have MySpace. They usually used Mixi. Surely MySpace Japan has aleady launched, but I heard it's not that popular since it can't be accessed from their cellphone [from what I heard], so MySpace isn't that convinience.

From reading that MySpace, it's clear she's using Yuu's pics to gain popularity. Miss Most Popular? That said it all <__< Japanese cosplayers, if they have accounts like in cosplay.com, they'll put their website link too, and not just pictures. Plus, that person's ENglish is too perfect.
