To all you pro cosplayers out there I got some questions.
This year I really really wanna cosplay for our city's local anime con and only 2 costumes fit in my budget (but its really my mom's budget since I can't find a job): 1st is the black outfit of Sasuke in Naruto and the Ouran HS Host Club male uniform for Haruhi.
1. What (possibly cheap) frabic do you guys recommend for Sasuke's outfit that is durable, ninja-ish, and possibly not cheap looking?
2. What (possibly cheap) frabic is best for creating a nice comfortable blazer?
**3. (Bonus question): How do you guys style your hair to look semi accurate to the character? (disregarding wigs)

1. don't use broadcloth, use something called "galaxy twill."
2. galaxy twill or poplin
3. i use wigs, that's usually the best way. if not, if the anime has hair spikes, got 2 b glued blasting freeze hair spray works awesome.

What is galaxy twill? Never heard of it ... but anyways I only have Got 2 Be Glued Hair Gel and it only works on short short hair if you want it to go up. So how is the hair spray different? Like can you spray your hair with it and then shape it??

Galaxy twill is a nice cotton blend. it's lighter than poplin, cheaper too i think, and comes in different colours.
the blasting spray is awesome. i even use it on heavy wig designs and they all defy gravity. you have to hold it in place until it dries, or use a blow dry to speed the drying process.

yeah, i hated LB. dunno how LA cc is... but i wish they just kept it at anaheim.. its so convenient there..
haha, it was my first time wearing a wig too. but actually, i got pretty well adjusted to it.
except.. i kept TRYING to move my bangs to the right side like my natural hair, but i had the bangs to the left on the wig =P

lol me too! i adjusted well too.. but my bangs kept on stabbing my eyes lol... and that was bad with contacts on ^^
and yes anaheim was so much nicer~..
im afraid to cosplay at :Acc next year lol seems scary XD

I have a cosplay hairstyle question.
Besides Got2b Glued Freezing Blast Hairspray, is there any gel or mouse that if you just rub it into your hair and shape it, it'll just stay like that?

Yeah I didn't like Long Beach Convention at aLL!!everything had distance between it and those DAMN STAIRS! haha.What did you cos as?i did.

if ever you happen to be in Hong Kong, there's a shop at the Apple Mall (a VERY small mall in Tin Hau) that sells cosplay get-ups like

the mall on the block right next to The L' Hotel along King's Road where you see a Park N Shop and a Wellcome Supermarket.
