I just received my purple bob cut wig today ... Wasn't what I expected ... it was more like a hot pink. Those people are totally not getting a 5 star from me, damn bastards. There goes my perfectly planned cosplay. Boo!

Special Ed: How about try to dye that wig? Just use the color for real hair and just stir! stir! it together in the bowl then wash out XD. I think it would be cheaper than buy a new one though. :lol:

I actually bought it off ebay. Not the best place I know. But the store was called COG_MARC. I should've just bought a long hair wig and cut it myself. Darn.

^^The wig doesn't look THAT pink in the picture, if that's the colour it shows up as IRL.

...nm I just looked up a picture, and it's supposed to be pretty dark hey? ahha

There's a few tutorials on how to dye a wig. I think you need rubbing alcohol and a few sharpies in the colour you need.
Just google "wig dying" and click the first link.

It's not too expensive either (unless you're buying a premade character wig)

Twilight>> In Malaysia, there are a few, but the main event is COmic Fiesta that is usually held in December. In Singapore, the main event is EOY [End of Year]. Usually both CF and EOY are held in the same weekend [Saturday and Sunday] ^^;;

I can vouch for that "china" is dodgey thing... i've not got one wig from china that is any good... useable... but crappy none the less...

theres some pretty good cosplay stores online if yu look hard enough, but its the expensive ones that are the good ones... some of the cheap ones look pretty dodgey

theres this Ryuugu Rena cosplay on cospretto(for those that can read japanese...) that I really like(see sig) just too bad I'm not female...

Be careful of some ebay sellers though. Almost all the sellers from China who make costumes steal their photos from sites like Yahoo!Japan Auctions, so what you see in the photo isn't what you'll be getting, 95% of the time it's much worse quality

haha yeh last time when i was cosplaying Kai of gazette of chizuru theme, i wore the heavy eyeliner makeup and apparently it looked like i was gonna kill someone xD
hehe yeh there's those different types apart from the main visual kei.. like oshare, eroguro, angura, etc
i would probably prefer the usual visual kei look though i wish i could pull off the colourfulness of oshare kei xD
