Making your own costumes is much much cheaper, thats what I'm doing now, with my mum's help I used to work full time so thats where I got my money from

^ If it's a good material, you should dye it to make it more realistic. That is if you want to. I'm getting the impression that you since you'd rather have a longer wig, then go ahead and get it in black. People will be totally confused though. They'll get the impression that you're some student in the Day Class.

My hair should be of the right length too! I really can't see myself as anyone else other than L so I'll just be known as that L guy.

For prices of costume, really depends on who you buy from and what kind of costume it is. I've spent $120 for a costume before, and I've also spent $360 for a costume before. Of course my $360 costume was a lot more complicated hence the price.

i wonder if it'll be weird if i use that instead?Cosplaywig used to have a chocolate brown wig that was pretty long. Cosworx.com sells a really long wig that could work for Yuuki, but you'd have to cut the bangs, and if you want to, give it layers.
This is the wig, and a six would probably be best. You can try looking at Amphigory if you want, too.

Depends on whom you cosplay as... and what you need. It probably goes up to over $200 average.
But if you want high quality stuff... yeahh its crazy expensive. I watched the anime con on TV
and some dude spent over $1000 on his entire cosplay costume.
If you make it, i think it would depend on the maker.
As well as having a very creative mind and skill of sewing.
If something as simple as japanese School Uniform that

-White V neck T-shirt or Fabric, this would be better quality ( and just make a t-shirt base ) $5 shirt/ $4 Fabric (im tiny, so i don't use a lot of fabric lol)
-Fine a sailor suit at a vintage shop/thrift store ( you would be using the collar only) $6
-Bow's are pretty easy to make $2 fabric/or Premade made its $5 (people on soompi sell them for $10.. but i found a wholesale price online)
-Skirt - make with fabric $5
-For the stripes on the sleeve/ collar just buy the linings at a store $2
Total would be around $30
But if you might already have some of the stuff so it could be lesser =]

- 1 box Palty Flash Bleach ( my roots are dark brown but the rest is light =] )
- 1 box Milk Tea ( in case its too light, spend over $50 and get free shipping)
- 1 GATSBY Moving Rubber Nuance Motion Mobile (kjhfgkdjhgkjfdg needed .52 cents to get free shipping so i got this =D last one!! PWHAHAHA )

I called every salon near by and asked for prices... etc wrote them down and compared...
I saved about $60 =D pluss i never been to a salon and got my hair done.. i don;t trust anyone but my self lol.

I think she did a dark elf as well. Theres a yutube video of a conv in china with a FULL group of lineage chars in perf gear. Pretty impresssive. Commend the girls for wearing so little...(its a lineage thing)
on a complete diferent note, castle seige is ultimate!!! Best feature of L2. I want to seige again!!!

^ Ive bought from Cosplaywig once before, I got a Sailor Moon wig from them. Their shipping was pretty fast, got it in about 10 days (I ended up selling it again since I was super picky about my Sailor Moon wig and wanted it to be perfect :x)

Yup. I've bought from cosplaywig twice, and their shipping was pretty fast. It took about a week to a week and a half for both orders to reach my house.
I've ordered from cosworx before, too. It took a little longer than cosplaywig, but cosworx has more wigs to choose from.

Personally, I think it's much easier to get a wig. For example : If your having a bad hair day, and wig would be like insurance.
