Actually, in the manga, the school uniform skirt is at that length. Sailormoon is quite an old manga. It's from early 90's, I think? The girls doesn't really wear short skirt like the students nowadays =)

yea..but even now...japanese school girls had to wear their skirt long..in school of course...i wonder if they roll up their skirts..wont their waist look chunky?..when i roll up my skirt..i usually wear a baggy hoodie to cover the wasit area..o_o

Sometimes I think Mao is a guy and sometimes a girl. But you know in some pictures in his summer pictures he is wearing such big shirts and he is so skinny. Even if, he would still need to wear something underneath if he was a girl ;x.
