They did. It's still untitled...unfortunately I didn't know about the new song when I had Hizumi and Tsukasa in my interview...I would have asked for details. They played three encores in Germany...the new song was the first encore.

I'm SO curious about the upcoming album...

Just finished the translation of the article. I hope it's understandable...I feel like my head is gonna explode any minute. I HATE being sick. *sighs*

Anyway, here you go:

Europe in a D’espairs Ray-fever

Over 7000 people celebrated D’espairs Ray at 14 shows in eight different countires – and that in the short amount of 17 days. That’s the impressive balance of the latest European tour of those j-rockers that ended on November 26th in Helsinki, Finland. On November 21st the quartet from Tokyo played in the Gloria in Cologne and entertained an enthusiastic crowd of roundabout 600 fans there.

The concert hall was filled about three quarters with that crowd, when at about 8pm the opening act with the melodious name Limbogott entered the stage. The sextet from the small village of Schaalby in Schleswig-Holstein (note: northern Germany) excited the crowd with a roundabout 30-minute mix containing of EBM as well as industrial and metal-sounds. After that came a 20-minute reconstruction-break, before D’espairs Ray in uncommonly unspectacular outfits finally came on stage accompanied by thunderous applause.

Hizumi (vocal), Karyu (guitar), Zero (bass) and Tsukasa (drums) were celebrated frenetically by their fans and followers from the first second on. After a short intro the j-rock-spectacle began with Grudge. Some of the, partly from the close-by foreign countries as well as people from all over Germany, fans had already waited at the hall since the early morning hours to experience this moment. Immediately 600 pairs of arms were raised in to the air. Directly in front of the stage 400 mostly teenage bodies pushed towards the barriers. With rhythmic jumping, that didn’t turn into pogo most of the times and the sing-along of the lyrics the visitors expressed their enthusiasm. In the beginning the band struggled with sound-problems, that turned Hizumi’s voice as well as Karyu’s guitar and Zero’s bass into an undefinable soundmush. As the concert went on the man at the mixer was able to fix the problems, so that after the first four or five concerts even the people in the back could enjoy an exciting j-rock-evening. The choice of songs was grouped around the most recent album [Coll:Set], that was played almost entirely. Apart from that D’espairs Ray enthused their audience with older songs like Reddish, Closer to ideal and Pig. With the fulminant Garnet and the moving Forbidden, which were songs number 12 and 13 of the evening, the band left the stage after about an hour for the time being. After minutes of encore-calls Hizumi and the others returned. With three more songs, among them a brand new until now untitled piece, the quartet bid their farewells to the fans after a ninety-minute long triumph.

All j-rock-fans can now look forward to the next album of D’espairs Ray. The completion of the piece was tackled immediately after the European tour, so nothing should stand in the way of a release in 2007. While D’espairs Ray got on the tourbus heading towards berlin that night, the first fans gathered at the gates of the Columbia Club in the capital. Where the j-rockers could be heard and seen some hours later.
