"Gackt Live Tour 2005", in 2006 ^^; There are Korean & Japanese versions of the Korean Dears site up, and it looks like an English one is coming soon, too. There's something on the Japanese page about how to buy tickets to the concert from overseas.

Well Vancouver is about a days drive away (I live in Alberta, Vancouver is in British Columbia..one province over). But it's a Dears only thing isn't it? I wish it wasn't....otherwise I would make that my birthday present. I can't think of a better way to spend my 18th birthday (although it would be a month late). It's funny how he's going to Vancouver, but also makes sense...it is kinda like the "Japanland" of Canada. He should go to Banff, it's beautiful, very much funded by Japanese tourists, good skiing in the area.. and only 90 minute drive for me.

hmmm... sorry about that just "thinking" out loud, since the person who I would go fangirl crazy with won't be at school for awhile. :O I need to tell my cousin. okay I'm done now

Okay I was just reading the translation for Dispar, and HOLY CRAP SEXUAL SONG! And I could tell that it was (had the same "feel" as Papa Lapped), which brings me to my point. The other day a group of us were sitting around at lunch and 4 of us listen to Japanese music and one of them didn't. The guy who doesn't listen to the music said "Why do you listen to Japanese music? It's not like you understand what they are saying"
Me and my one friend explained it like this (although my friend applied it to anime as well... I don't really watch anime):
Even though you don't "know" what they are singing you can feel it in the way the words are said and the music. For example, in English music they are like "ho-hum I'm angry" where as in Japanese music it's like "ARRRRGH *$%@#%#!" (a little over exaggerated of course).

I was just wondering if this is the case with anyone else?

Hehe, interesting question... as I started listening to chinese and HK music also, always loved japanese movies and video games I guess it was just natural for me to start loving japanese music also. In fact I began learning japanese after starting to love Kitano movies and recently after starting to love Gackt and some other j-rock acts as well I discovered my new found interest for manga and anime... I guess I am just european by birth but japanese/asian by nature ... hehe, no seriously, with japanese music and especially Gackt of course, I don´t ever have the feeling that I don´t understand what he´s saying, it never even occurs to me, only thing that bothers me is that I don´t understand as much about the interviews as I want to, or not being able to read and understand japanese fluently... but Gackt, you know, he´s simply my favourite artists because his music, concerts etc work without language barriers for me and same goes for some other japanese/chinese artists as well, it´s the feel that´s important and I agree that there´s a lot of emotion in all of it. And as I do love it all so much I seriously consider moving to Asia after I finish university... that is... if I ever finish it ...ah, I forgot Melissa, could you please post the translation of Dispar, please, please, please???



Yeah, me too, I don´t know why, they always manage to dub not only anime but also japanese movies and completey ruin it, duh... I always wanna watch everything with subs, nothing else works for me ..

(2) literally "kowareru" means broken, but what does "hold me tightly until I'm broken" mean..So I took it as separate, ie...to break apart
