It seems two of us were interviewed...they talk about what Campus Radio is about and how we work and stuff. And they mention one situation from our last show, the one I moderated. I was talking and suddenly the tecnician made a sign with his hand that confused me so much that I stopped talking and was silent for about ten seconds (an eternity when your live on air) and had to collect myself again and it was like "what have I been talking about? *confused*"

I translated a short Chinese article I found of Gackt, regarding him singing the theme songs for Gundam movie trilogy.


As a fan of Gundam, Gackt took charge of the theme songs of these 3 movies. Gackt’s old song “Love Letter” has been chose as the theme song for the final movie in Gundam’s movie trilogy.

Gackt rerecorded the song because of this. He was interviewd by a Japanese paper and talked about his feelings toward Gundam. Gackt watched Gundam when he was 10 plus. At that time, he felt that anime was for kids. It was only after much persuasion by his friend that he watched a tape of Gundam and he became a fan from then on.

The first generation Gundam ... the story may be difficult for children to understand but it made them reflect on the idea of war.

Gackt said, “Before Gundam, anime had a simple concept of “good” and “evil”. However, Gundam asked the audience “What do you think?”. This is a philosophy for youths with problems, a ‘bible’ in their process of turning into adults. The word “justice” often appears in Gundam, it is the same in the real world. But who can judge what is justice? I feel that everyone has something “real” within their hearts, and we do things according to this ‘truth’ , and we won’t go wrong. But I feel that people now can’t differentiate between what is right and wrong."

I guess everybody has habits like that. My ex has one that really ticked me off. When she's bored she starts to whistle...very high, shrill notes. It hurts my ears...

God!!! I hate that habit too!! One of my friend's friend used to to that... and it got on my nerves.

I'm learning Japanese, but... I don't know here, maybe is "Exist/There's a tomorrow for me"; but I don't know, that の confuses me. Where is this that sentence from?

I looked it up, it's from the lyrics of "Mizérable".

Hm...my japanese isn't the best, I'm still far from being good at it, but I agree with Esti. "Watashi ni asu wa aru no" is best translated with "There is a tomorrow for me." Other translations say "I will have tomorrow" but IMO that's incorrect.

Watashi = I
asu = tomorrow
aru = to be, to exist (for things)

..Would sun rise in my heart?" And she's japanese.

Interesting...everyone seems to translate it differently. I bet it depends on what you translate it from. There might be different possibilities to translate it, depending on the amount of Kanji used.

And only one person knows the true meaning behind those words. I'd love to ask Gakuto about it...I bet he'd laugh and shake his head about us brooding over one line of text.
