I love their Nanchatte Renai single! By the way I'm a newbie to this thread and morning musume ><. I don't really know all of them but mostly Koharu because I listened to her solo songs ^^.

I love love love the new single.
I had begun to get bored with their newer singles and then bam, Nanchatte Renai was AMAZING! It made me very pleased ^^

I attended AX in July and the concert was good but short. I think the last 30mins or so was spent for the OPV contest.

So, i wasn't her biggest fan, and to me she had the worst voice in Momusu, but she was always happy and engergetic and full of life and a true idol <3

this was so sudden and the graduation show is gonna be soooo sad T-T

i'll be honest i don't really like her voice--i only like very few of her songs.

but this is like bam! all of a sudden.

although, it makes sense. kusumi koharu is now on the threshold of being eighteen, which means she's finally becoming an adult. it's time for her to make her own decisions now.

i'm glad she chose to pursue her modeling career further, it's much better for her. or she could try to polish her acting and seiyuu skills, she's definitely welcome in those. just not singing.^^;

she wasn't exactly the best member of the current momusu gen but her absence will surely be noticeable among momosu fans.

Yeah I agree with you guys. This seems really sudden ... maybe because I kind of expected the current line-up to stay that way for a while. and I didn't really start liking her until she started doing stuff for Kirarin Revolution. She is really energetic so I guess I'll miss that in the performances.

After I got over my initial shock and disbelief, I was quite relieved/happy. She was never one of faves although I detest her a lot less than I did before. Her graduation means that the girls I do actually like will be around longer.

I wonder how the 9th gen will come about. I'm thinking they'll go an 8th gen route and have an audition/pick some of the eggs (possibly the korean girl?)

i was kind of in shocked that koharu would graduate out of all members.

but i guess this is a good thing for momusu...but who knows.
whatever she does in her future, i wish her the best of luck.

She's graduating in about a month. I always thought either her or Reina would be the next to graduate, especially her because she was often absent from MM activities due to her Kirarin Revolution work. I thought, well it probably wouldn't be that big of a change for her to go solo.
Tbh she's not one of my top favorites but I like all of the members of MM, previous and current so it's sad to see her go. She definitely hits some nerves with her extreme, loud, dorky, hyper personality but no doubt it keeps things interesting. I'm sure her air-headed moments were able to bring many smiles to her fans and non fans alike. It's sad to hear that her graduation was not of her own choice, but of course it's her management's decision. However, what's heartbreaking is the way in which it's been handled. Tsunku has blogged that it was his decision to graduate her, that's fine, but according to him it's for her to move on to other endeavors such as modeling, but Koharu herself has stated in an interview, that she still does not know what the future holds for her...seems like it's possible the management has simply decided to push her into the background along with the other ex-mms, which imo, aside from the popular ones, are left with very little work to do. Coupling that with her lack of screen time in the recent Kimagure Princess pv videos (regular, dance shot, close-up, and making-of) it's pretty appalling. It's her last single, Yossie got her moment to shine in Kanashimi Twilight but Koharu's given a few seconds. I really hope it's not what it seems and that Tsunku actually does have plans for her because although her talent doesn't lie in singing, her work as a seiyuu would definitely work for her, or even modeling. Also, anyone else notice how she seemed pretty gloomy and off on her own in the Kimagure Princess making of. Pretty noticeable as she's usually really upbeat and happy.

Anyway, with her graduation this December I can't help but think of what Tsunku's planning for Morning Musume, it's obvious with a graduation that something's in the works for MM. Another audition? Surprise addition(s) to the group? It'll be interesting to see and hopefully if new members are added, they can bring more singing & dancing skills to the current line-up.
