Wow loving this new thread!! Rikku thank you for putting in time and effort into this! I just watched the Mikan performance and I really enjoyed it Mikan is my favorite song of 2007! Also there is supposed to be a big announcement on Haromoni next week. I am not sure what its going to be but I have a feeling its going to be new auditions or something to do with Haromoni's time length I think they will make it longer. Someone mentioned that it could be about Makoto coming back but I don't think they would announce that on a Haromoni show because they didn't with Konkon.

I don't think it is, Ongaku Gatas is still MM related since 3 of them are former members from MM.
IMO covering all H!P members would be too much.
Just current and former MM members should be fine.

Berryz and C-ute are entirely different but not Ongaku Gatas.
I don't see anything wrong with mentioning them once in awhile, it'll help keep the thread more active.
IMO the older generations of Musumes have the larger fanbase but it'd be hard to create a topic for them since they are scattered in different activities.

On the 23rd MM will be on Music Japan.
Not sure if they have any other appearances.
They didn't really get much airtime the last time they were on Utaban.
Taka-san and Nakai-kun pushed them off to the side...

the Gatas PV was semi-horribly cheap. but it was entertaining

Yeah it's still cheap compared to other artists but I think they're starting to actually put more money into it.
I noticed they used blue/green screens for this PV and the Mikan one. Most H!P pvs were generally just shots of their face and then cuts to the dance, repeated throughout the whole PV. But I guess it's hard to do an actual storyline based PV with so many members....and yeah Up-Front is cheap (and greedy) anyway.
Not much to say about the song but I like the outfits better than the ones for the previous single.

Right, so I like Morning Musume and the rest of H!P as well and have been a fan since 2003. (I've known them since seeing a Souda! We're Alive perf on TV though.) Favorite Momusu member is Niigaki Risa, following with Mitsui Aika! Favorite song of theirs is Shabondama, but I liked Egao YES Nude the most out of all the 2007 singles.

It's a pity that Mikan isn't doing so well, but they need more promotion in Japan (though I like that they're going to different countries even if they're not countries I live in), but every fan knows that...

Welcome to the thread kamensayu and july-eighth!
It seems their music style is geared more towards the younger audience lately, Onna ni Sachi Are and especially Mikan.
They haven't really had any slower songs as their singles though. Too bad cause I like their slower songs more such as Koe or Indigo Blue.

Oh and they had their final concert for the ...Bomb tour yesterday. Which means, the concert video will be on it's way to releasing and up next is their performances in the H!P Winter Tour which will be fun. =)

MM, Berryz and C-ute will all be on the Kouhaku. It's like a dream come through for me since I like all of them. I hope the exposure will allow more people to like them. No weird medleys please, but performances for each group. Though it's most probably impossible for that to happen. At least the kids aren't just dancing back-up this year

MM Crazy in Taiwan Special from MTV channel. This was one great video. It showed the girls going from authentic Taiwanese breakfast, shopping at the popular night market and having a go at foot reflexlogy among others. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun. Besides the usual TakaGaki and KameShige pairings, Reina/Koha/Aika had more interaction than usual. Jun Jun was kinda stuck to the Gokkies as well. They really seem closer than before.

I can't wait for the DVD for this concert to be released. I've been wanting to watch live performances of Hand made CITY and Please! Jiyuu no Tobira for ages.

The MC with the rokkies and Chinese girls should be funny. Imagine Sayu yelling at them to shut up. Lol. Shanimuni Paradise with Eri = love. I hope they change the dance though, that flapping action wasn't great

How was FNS? I'm still waiting for someone to put it up on veoh and youtube. Pity Berryz didn't get to sing.

The FNS performance wasn't that great.
It was around 4min long with Aya singing Love Namida Iro at the beginning then the camera switches over to a clip of the OG Musume's performance of Love Machine back in the day then fades into the live performance with MM and OGS performing. BK comes in towards the end to dance together with them.

Aichan could sing Gyutto Dakishimete but she'd have to deal with Miki afterwards >:D hehe jk.

I like how HEYSAY JUMP outfit for FNS are somewhat similar with BERRYZ, it's white and has furry. They should have put MM near with NEWS and BERRYZ with HSJ. I like the perf but i think it's pretty short.

I finally saw the FNS performance. My biggest gripe is wasting almost 2 min on that video Arghs, even if they wanted to showcase the OGs they should have shot them live and not screen a vid where more than half of the girls in it aren't even there anymore.

Someone said Ai-chan looked like she was almost going to faint from pressure of speaking but I found her alright. Just that maybe she should have been standing in front instead of in the 2nd row. And at Aya's face throughout. She had to be REALLY annoyed over something.

If they weren't even going to introduce Berryz then don't stuff them in like that. It makes the stage really messy. How do UFA expect people to notice anyone if nobody gets more than a 2 sec shot?

Sorry for the ranting but I'm just so cheesed at how UFA totally wasted such a good opportunity to show people how good their girls can be.

Lastly, enough with RR21 and Love Machine. EYN, KT and ONSA are perfectly good songs with great dancing so start letting the CGs perform them

On a happier note, KonKon on Uta Doki. She's really improved by leaps and bounds. Sayu in the background is so cute I think she's developing more of a personality which is an awesome thing.

Nono is one of my FAVORITE H!P artists ever.
Anyway did anyone see them on Best Artist 2007? I felt bad because it was mainly Ai singing even though they had a reunion of so many H!P artists, not all of them mind you but quite a few of them. I always forget how short everyone when i see Koharu hovering over some of the girls and she's not even that tall.

Yup I watched it. It's definitely a better performance than FNS. At least the outfits were nicer and having the clothes change was a good touch Ai is always being focused on, I kinda got used to it I saw a lot of Reina and Aika as well. And quite a bit of Koharu too. Koharu's about 166 cm (?) Not that tall really but next to the other girls she looks like a tree Is she taller or is Sayumi taller now?

Those pics of baby Noa are so adorable! I wonder if pics of her face will ever surface? Or are her parents keeping her away from the public eye until she gets older.

I gotta admit I didn't really like it the first time I watched it but after numerous reruns I'm won over. First, the good things.
Everyone looked great, no weird hairstyles this year except Sayu and since she's so pretty it doesn't look half that bad Every MM girl had a solo line except 8 gen. The different color outfits for the 3 groups (MM, Berryz and C-ute) made differentiating them easier on the stage when everyone's running around. Costume change is a big plus and always fun. The Peace! break was cool. All the Kids sang and danced amazingly. Takaiko Junjou is great every time it's being performed and this time is no different. The bit where Berryz did that kneel-sit-turn move was awesome.

Now for the blah bits. C-ute partially blocked in the beginning during the group shot. LM is used to death. And probably since it wasn't written for this line-up they sounded really weak in it (though Ai, Reina and Koharu were fine in their solos). No Momoko close-up even when she had a line. Enough with the Eggs. The yellow outfits after the change had everyone looking the same. The layman wouldn't be able to spot the girl they thought was alright in the beginning. That Lalalala song....where's it from? They should've ended with ONSA. Oh yeah, and 20 sec each for the 2 groups appearing for the first time is .

Oh well, but I have to say I'm glad H!P still gets invited on the show.

I just saw their kouhaku performance. I personally think it was ok. However, I kinda feel sorry for Berryz & C-ute....I wish they had a longer performance. But then again, they were probably given a time limit, so tsunku had to squeeze all 3 group performances together. I like the different colour of costumes too. It was easy to tell who's who.

I hope 2008 is a good year for H!P as well. Enough with the scandals....let's hope they regain their glorious days! XDDD
