& btw, the photographer for the Twilight poster is my age (18);
so I guess yu could say its an 'amateur' photo, but honestly-it combines the horror, fantasy, and romance all in one picture.
Edward looks like he's ready to kill, but his body language and the angle he's in definitely gives him a intimidating, protective vibe.
But Bella's presence really calms down that intimidating energy with the innocent, scared, facial expression and body language~
I think they balance each other out...I honestly think that's a spectacular picture
& the more yu look at it- how else is anyone going to make a poster that really 'stands' out & is eyecatching ya know?
Afterall, this is a story of Bella & Edward and their struggle to be together.

They'd JUST finished wrapping the movie and they are nowhere near finishing with their editings, soundtracks and oh, some of the actors also have to do voice overs.

Let's all be patient (wow...I'm trying to reasonable for once ) and maybe THE trailer trailer will blow our minds and the movie will satisfy our knowledge of the novel and does the books justice!

^I hope so even though i know it WILL and the soundtracks, i bet its gonna be played on my Ipod until the battery is completely wasted.

I don't think he's necessarily flying. ._. I mean, more like leaping maybe =/ Since he's a vampire with superhuman strength I think that's just to put emphasis on his speed and agility. I mean, although I found it a bit weird... I mean being a vampire, I'm sure you can easily leap out a window and onto some patch of land many meters away 8D;;; Though I don't really recall how this conforms to the books because I need to reread them =_=; I just remember him running a lot and going on trees moreso than ...doing that leap which I don't quite remember :x If anyone can...refresh my memory! XD!

I mean, I had my doubts on his looks. For example, when HP4 came out...everyone kept saying the guy who played Cedrig Diggory was "OMFG SO SEXY!!" and when I saw the pictures I just quirked my eyebrow up and wondered why :x No such attraction there.

But with him playing Edward O_O

totally agree.
i had friends swooning over him as cedric diggory and i just didn't get it. not just from pictures but from the actual portrayal in the film.
but i've come to conclude that the character himself and the maturity of robert as an actor both contributed to this. cedric wasn't a very deep character, in my opinion.
compared to cedric diggory, i found robert's character in bad mother's handbook to be more "OMFG SO SEXY!!" but maybe i'm just weird like that.
i'm just really drawn to intense, complex characters that aren't just shallowly goodlooking. if edward was just good looking and nothing else, i probably wouldn't be this obsessed...
and if robert thought he was goodlooking, i probably wouldn't be so taken by him either. i really like watching him analyse edward and just seeing him play him is fascinating.

so no, you're definitely not the only one that feels this way.

Yea, that's the controversy that's been going on of them running on tree tops.

I just think it's one of those things that could've easily stayed the way it was in the book. Although, hanging around on treetops might look better on screen. But I do like the whole running thing a lot better.

I think the movie is already awesome, but then again, I'm not a book fan. There's a lot more humanity in the movie that the director put in that Stephanie Meyer failed to put in her book. Edward was described as a pansy to me in the book, but in the movie, Robert created him into a stronger, more "possessive" character that the book kinda made seem like he was constantly scared of breaking her so his touching is very timid, but in the movie he gives a feel that he can't get enough of her, but he still has to at least touch her. Kristen also adds intelligence and a more boyish/brave personality to Bella that the original girl lacked. The book had a slow plot (it was almost plotless) and very poor pacing, but it's excellent in movie form. Even Stephanie Meyer admitted, "When I wrote the book, I saw it in my head as a movie," and it's quite obvious that she wrote the book in the form of a screenplay.


...Yeah my two cents.


I don't think the whole vampire flying thing is that big of an issue...So he flies instead of runs? Gee, does he love her less? He shouldn't. I think what's important is how Robert took Bella in a rough/commanding manner that proved how strong he was. Besides, this movie isn't an Oscar attempt to stay true to the book (like No Country for Old Men or Lord of the Rings) it's an fanservice and money making movie for the fans and producers. Obviously, since the previous movies did not have such propaganda (about a year before the movie began!) to the fans.

I do like what I've seen, and you're right, the flying thing isn't that big of a deal. It's just better with the original ability. But having said that, they might have had to change that aspect for something. I don't hate it.

The trailer is features on Rotten Tomatoes, if anyone is interested. They have not had anything on Twilight so far, so I'm glad there's something. *shrugs*

honestly, they're just naming off movies that have the same element..

i was watching behind the scenes stuff on the Thirteen DVD
and they interviewed Catherine, and she had braids (i'm talking, full out long, thin, artificial braids)
i just laughed cuz she's got such a funky style
and i think it goes with her personality very well

Actually no. It's the name that sells right now. Heck, it's already selling, not the details. They don't need to bicker over minor things like this to sell the movie. Yeah, fans will get mad, but so what, they'll still pay tickets to watch before flying is such a minor detail. As long as they keep those lovey dovey things Edward says, I'm pretty sure over 60-70% of the fans will swoon. As I said, it's about money making, a fanservice for produce, not complete "whatever the fans want" production.

For me...
I thought he was just running really fast that he treaded on air. That's how I saw it in my mind anyway. Hahaha, I didn't realize he was flying until I read the comments here.


By the way, does anyone else here hate how they tried to make a Harry Potter vs. Twilight feud? I totally do not agree with a vampire vs. wizards war...

But secretly, I think the wizards will pwn. An Avada Kedavra and they die... It doesn't matter how fast they move, obviously since the wizards are trained to fight against even more powerful beings (Baslik...Dementors, etc.). BUT...the vampires are hotter...well Stephanie Meyer doesn't write about ugly people, haha.

I think his hair is what brought on that sexy change. Hair styles can change a person's face drastically .

About Edward being a wimp in the book: This is in Bella's perspective. If you read Eclipse, you would know why he is so scared to touch her. And also, in Twilight, he was trying to test his limits because he's so attracted to her blood. He doesn't know if one touch could lead to him biting her to death. He gets more comfortable intimately later on in the series. But remember that that was the beginning of their relationship... And the teaser was just a sneak preview of what Twilight is about, so whatever protrayal we see may not be the full picture. If he's stronger in the movie than in the books, I'm okay with it, but ... I think it would be better if he was careful/cautious, because his exploration of his limits was what made the whole sexual tension happen (probably what made so many girls squeal).

As for Bella, I think she was always that tomboyish, strong girl, but she seems weak because she's surrounded by supernatural beings. Although, she seemed EXTREMELY weak after New Moon. She never became the same person she was before =='
