As for me, I've learned to accept Robert. Of course I wasn't happy at first, but I watched clips and looked at pictures of him. He's incredibly amazing, really (especially in Vanity Fair; minor role though). Seriously, if it wasn't for this role, I don't think I would've do anything to learn more about him (Cedric Diggory didn't really do anything for me). I think he has that Edward charm too.

And one complaint: I don't like how you guys go off topic sometimes. Sorry, it's just that I'm looking through the thread and I read all of these conversations about Harry Potter, some book place, etc. I know there's barely any updated info on the filming but still. =/ Hope it's not too much.

Other than that, thank you so much for keeping us updated with the news. Can't help but visit this thread often. I absolutely can't wait for the movie.

Yay! You go girl! I absolutely dislike when people complain now (Though, I'm a little bit of a hyprocrite because I was one of those complainers before, but I got over it... BUT who isn't one?

). I learned to accept Robert, too, and I couldn't be more happier with him playing Edward. I'm actually really happy with the rest of the cast. And I have lots and lots of faith that they'll do a wonderful job.

The book was a complete crapfest.
I can't imagine the movie to be any better.

^And there's also the fact that people are being unappreciative that the movie is even being in production. Without these actors, the movie wouldn't even begin. From what has been said on Twilightmoms about the time they went to the set and met Cam, Robert, and Peter... everyone is working hard to impress and satisfy the hungry fans, some of which are attacking them with negative comments just because they don't fit the "image" of the Cullen family, etc. I kind of feel like all of them shouldn't be working this hard if fans are just going to keep putting them down. So let's appreciate that they're even excited to film this movie and want to do a great job... and read the books to get into character.

Actually no. Sadly, I've heard a number of comments about how they didn't like the books. D:\
Some were even from the Twilight book thread here on Soompi >_>

As for the movie, they are pretty much casting every character in the book aren't they? ^^;
I wouldn't be surprised if they announced who is playing Mike's mom before we hear about Jacob

Btw, has anyone heard ANY news about who is going to play Billy Black!?

wow alot of people sure didnt like robert,but i dont understand why theyre judging him already w/o even seeing the movie. in my opinion if robert can bring edward to life then im satisfied.i think all the cast member fits their characters alot. people be open minded alil, like the old saying "DONT JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS COVER", im waiting patiently for the movie then i will judge.thats my 2 cents

hahah. yeah i actually picture edward like with black or dark brown hair and super pale skin. lol. there's like a guy in my comp graphics class who looks exactly like edward for me! like perfect! like i was reading the book, and then like i kinda have an image of edward on my mind, then when i went to my computer graphics class, i was like........... "EDWAAAAARDD".... hahah... but i never imagined edward with reddish hair.. oh well.. i hope Robert will portry Edward's character well. hahah..

and uhm like i think the girl really fits Bella.. that's how i picture her...

but the sam uley.... i pictured him like kinda good looking.. but oh well. hahah.....

im looking forward to the Jacob part!! hahah.

The official Twilight site (Summit) are featuring a new graphic, in place of the old one (basically the Twilight book cover but with Catherine Hardwicke under Stephenie's name). I don't like it. I don't like how the colour looks on black. =_=;; It looks like a Disney movie.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR DECEMBER!!!!!!!! IT SEEMS SO FAR AWAY!!!! I love how all the cast are so dedicated to make their character come alive. It is a really rare thing for most of the cast to read the book and be a fan of it themselves. I remember most of the cast of Harry Potter didn't read the series. At first, I was pretty skeptical about the cast, but I changed my mind and think they all portray their character.

Well it's been confimed Taylor Launter is Jacob Black which we all new already! I guess he is pre-new moon Jacob looking. They need to get a new guy, later on to play jacob. Since Jacob changes in appearance quite drastically.

OMG - I'm really looking forward to this. Amazing book.
I want them to keep the same exact lines and the entire plot overall, xD I never liked any changes made from books to movies.
And I'm hoping that the cast will be able to portray the characters well enough. Especially Edward since he's my favorite character, haha.
But the actress playing Bella - it's cool because that's sort of how I imagined her to look like.
Either way, I'll definitely be watching this.

They are of course making Robert do an American accent since Edward is from Chicago and from what I hear his American accent is impeccable.

im glad to hear that robert will do an american accent cause its really over rated that all vampires have that english accent.
dont get me wrong.. english accent is sexy but our hero edward cullen has the american accent sooo...

I say we ignore the replies in this thread that bashes on the people already casted. It's one thing if the movie was out and the acting was HORRIBLE, but the movie hasn't even come out yet and people are already whining. PLEASE. Enough with the "OMG. I wish Gaspard was Edward. OMG. I wish Emily was Bella. OMG. They should've gotten 'so and so' for 'so and so's character'. OMG. They should've gotten hotter people!"

If they wanted hotter people and a TERRIBLE adaptation of the movie, they would've hired models who couldn't act. So suck it up if you don't like the actors casted. No one's making you watch the movie.

I just saw the promo pics, and Robert looks AMAZING. I love his hair color. ^______^ I really can't wait to see him and everyone else! I have a good feeling about this movie!

I agree with you crystal_t33rs. The cast might look better in the movie with all the special effects, and people really shouldnt judge the cast by their looks because they might pull the part off really well.

I made a manipulation of Robert Pattison as Edward. It's my first time using GIMP, so bear with the ugliness and the inexperience, haha. I also made one of Rosaline, but the quality of her hair color was really choppy and looked obviously painted, so I think I will redo that again sometime and show it to you guys.
