this movie was SO GOOD OMGOSHHH so much action!!! abe lincoln was the best president smile.gif but man, the ending was woah didnt expect that at all. the only eehhh thing about this movie was the fact that theres not much puzzles and solving stuff, just lots and LOTS of action lol but still good!

i just saw this yesterday and i thought it was wonderful ^__^. there were definitely more clues in the first movie, but the second one had more action. riley was as funny as ever<3.

is it just me, or does pg. 47 call for national treasure 3? :x.

well mitch said, his great grand father wasn't involved.....he said he was because it was the only way Gates would help find the treasure, which was the golden city

i was kinda confused though. i don't remember how they cleared up the Lincoln assassination thingy.

They had to clear up the fact that there was a golden city since it the story goes as that there was a map to the golden city, but Gates's ancestor threw it into the fire, remember the secret code?
When they found it, it mean the only way to prove it really was a secret code than they need to find the golden city FROM the little code thingy.

From there they found Laboul~ something... XD

If Wilkinson's story was true, than there would be no golden city since they was no golden city involved.

I really loved the movie, it was so EXCITING. XD
Riley's so awesome, but it was sad that even his best friend didn't read his book. D:
And his red ferrari. XDD

I went to watch this last night.
Although the plot was kind of predictable, it was still really good.

"National Treasure" sleighs Christmas box office
Tuesday December 25 2:28 PM ET

Nicolas Cage's adventure sequel "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" raced to $65 million during its first five days of release across North America, distributor Walt Disney Pictures said on Tuesday.

The tally consists of actual sales for the four days since the film opened last Friday, and a Christmas day estimate. Final sales data will be issued on Wednesday.

Through December 24, the film had also earned $27.5 million in 17 international markets, mostly in Asia. The critically maligned sequel to the 2004 smash "National Treasure" stars Cage as a treasure hunter who flies around the world trying to solve an ancient puzzle related to Lincoln's assassination.

Will Smith's sci-fi thriller "I Am Legend" was No. 2 with five-day sales of $47.5 million, taking its 12-day haul to $150.8 million, said Warner Bros. Pictures.

Because of the holiday, data for many films were incomplete. Twentieth Century Fox reported a four-day tally of $32.8 million for its surprise hit "Alvin and the Chipmunks," saying it was impossible to estimate Christmas Day sales. After 11 days, the kids film has earned $88.7 million.

The fact-based political comedy "Charlie Wilson's War" earned $14.75 million, and the Johnny Depp musical "Sweeney Todd" $12.75 million, both after five days. Their respective studios, Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures, warned that the Christmas Day components were rough guesses.

The box office jury is still out on "Charlie Wilson," a high-profile vehicle starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, which is playing in twice as many theaters as "Sweeney Todd," which DreamWorks co-produced with Warner Bros.

Further down the rankings, "P.S. I Love You" had earned $9.1 million in its first five days. After a low-key opening weekend, Warner Bros. said it hoped more women would turn out in force for the Hilary Swank tearjerker now that Christmas-related chores are behind them.

The musical spoof "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" reported a four-day haul of $4.7 million. Distributor Columbia Pictures did not have a Christmas Day estimate for the box office disappointment.

Midfield rankings will change when final data are issued Wednesday because they will include sales for three Christmas Day releases: the action sequel "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem," the Denzel Washington drama "The Great Debaters," and the family fantasy "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep."

Walt Disney Pictures is a unit of Walt Disney Co. Warner Bros. is a unit of Time Warner Inc. Twentieth Century Fox is a unit of News Corp. Universal Pictures, a unit of General Electric Co's NBC Universal. DreamWorks Pictures is a unit of Viacom Inc. Columbia Pictures is a unit of Sony Corp.

I think I'm gonna drag some friends out to watch this soon.

Just because I think Justin Bartha is so adorable ;D

But from what I hear, this one's more action and less puzzles?

Oh well. It looks pretty good. Interesting plot, too.

edit: Watched it on the 27th. Justin is so funny, hahaha.

I wonder what was on page 47.. it seems like there might be a third movie. I didn't see the first one but my friend dragged me to watch this today and it was surprisingly good. Riley's so funny! I think I might check out the first one now.
strawberrynkiwi
I love these type of movies/shows.
tomb raider, relic hunter, indiana jones etc.
I didn't watch the first one, so I thought this one was really good.

Why can't real history be THIS interesting? haha
philmein
Nicholas Cage was hilarious in this movie...surprise haha
Riley MADE the damn movie! He was terrific...

idk maybe i was expecting too much... but i really didnt like it at all.
i felt that it was REALLY cheesy & so unrealistic.. i mean the first one was
unrealistic too but this one was like WHAT THE?! haha. i like the first one
a lot better. & im not one to dislike movies. i was just so dissapointed
that it was so stupid & boring. & the girl actress was really pissing me off
cuz she CANT ACT. i thought they changed actresses or something.
it was super predictable... i wanted some SURPRISES & SOME CHANGE!
idk maybe others will like it. ?

the only part of the movie i liked was whenever riley came out smile.gif he's so funnY & cute
n1dh0g
^I agree with jewelz. I didn't really enjoy the movie that much because it felt very cliche and predictable. In my opinion, the ending was a very "fairytale" one where in the end everyone lives happily ever after...
Rikayla
Yeah, the ending was pretty cliched, but for a brainless Disney movie, it's not bad, I guess. I say Riley made things a million times better.

The script was dead awful though. It's no wonder the entire cast was reluctant to sign on for the sequel. XDD;
baileimei
A 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Interesting Plot... guess there will be a sequel "page 47..."
Riley - as a character is the zest of the movie (how I wish to have his tech ne plus ultra).
stjapo46
I went to see this movie like...2 weeks ago? It was pretty good (although it was easy to predict the story) biggrin.gif

I don't remember but what was pg.47 all about again? unsure.gif
