^ Same here. Haha.
I had a discussion with my family over this at Christmas dinner... they were freaking hilarious. Someone's last name was Fuk(something) but it wasn't how you pronounced it.. it was like Feuk- or something rofls.
And some couple, I shouldn't really say their names, but it was something relating to the word "cock" and involved touching, as their shortened first names.. ._. It was rather hilarious but unfortunate, but very coincidental
Classic Example

I have a friend named Paul Lee. Lots of people call him Polly.

It was hilarious when I realized.
One time, a sub. was calling roll, and the class burst out laughing when she said his name.

When I first heard it, I was like...uh...bum?
I've encountered really weird names since grade school. I remember having a classmate named King David. Kekeke. >:D
And I really think that guys with two old-sounding names is odd. Like in our circle of friends, their names are Jose Miguel, Juan Carlo, Ariel Jonas, Francis Roman, Jericho Vincent. .__. I guess that's why we have nicknames for. I don't think I've ever called them by that because if I did, memories of old Spanish novelas come to mind.
Oh yeah, and my prof's name is B. Araw. Araw = sun. Since no one really remembers what the B is for, we call him "bungang araw", which translates to prickly heat. Hahahaha. And strangely, even our classroom with two large air condiitoners gets warm when he's around. .___.

i don't think that my name is that funny, but some people say it's unique. my name is anhpha (pronounce it as onfa). it's not really a viet name for those of you who are wondering. my mom just put two names together and then ta-da. i grew up thinking that i was the only anhpha and thought i was special, but actually there's another girl with my name, she lives in texas. and she's older than me so technically she was named first >:[. i'm anhpha nguyen and she's anhpha dinh. <--- which name sounds better??? jk. but yea people joke all the time cause my name sounds like "to eat pho" in vietnamese. for clarification pho is just another one of the vietnamese noodle soups. yep :]
