Try Kings of Convenience or Zero 7. Feist did vocals for a Kings of Convenience track before she went mainstream. I also suggest her first album which I think is much better than her latest. For something with more beats try Gotan Project or the Hôtel Costes albums (3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 are my favs).

I find anything from Faye Wong's 1997-2003 work really relaxes me. Especially the albums "Fable (寓言)" and "To Love (將愛)".
From her 1997 "Faye Wong" album, "Men (闷)" is the best for an upbeat yet mellow sound. AWESOME song. And off of Fable "Xiao Wang Shu (笑忘書)" is one of the prettiest best mellow songs I've heard. Very calming. <3
But then I also like relaxing while rocking to dance songs or upbeat songs that I can (at least half-) sing to. Like right now I'm rocking to some B'z and upbeat Lee Mi Ja songs and I'm totally satisfied and at ease.
