wow...so it's two days before prom and i've decided to change my prom dress. i'm actually wearing a red one. i'll post pictures in a few days. hehe...i love the blue one i got too much. i think i'm gonna end up wearing that to my junior prom instead and, for senior prom, i'm going all out for a princess dress!!!

Sometimes the simplest dresses stand out the most. If everyone wears dresses with rhinestones and embellishments, your simple dress will stand out because it's different.

I remember last year at prom, my friend wore a red dress with no rhinestones and she really stood out in our crowd.

simple is classy, so don't think of it as just being "plain." i'm sure you'll look beautiful in that dress.

^ Well it's not the typical prom dress since the typical one is usually a gown. But I personally think it's beautiful! You may want to check the fabric though. It looks kinda thin, which wouldn't be too prom-like.

Honestly, I've seen extremely similar dresses to this at Forever21.
It is a cute dress, but not worth the $ and not formal enough for Prom (compared to the other long/satiny gowns). Homecoming, maybe :/ Otherwise you would have to really wow with your hair or something so you won't stand out of the crowd as 'under dressed'.

Ha, I love that red dress, too - really flattering to the boobs, probably (though I wouldn't know since that model has no boobs). That Jovani dress is really similar! Hey guys, sophomore here, but was asked, so I went!!!
The prom was yesterday and I had mine custom-made to this style, except the color was emerald and it frayed just a tad bit more at the bottom! It was a fun night!

I think that's gonna be my dress this year since I haven't found anything else I like. It's nice and simple, and i love the color

when i think of prom.... i think of tacky long silk/satin gowns.. i know its supposed to be a 'formal' event a la cotillian events but not quite, but i can just imagine most girls wearing these long pageant-y dresses... really tacky.. no offense.

at the moment i have 2 dresses in mind.. but that does not mean ill buy them b/c they are very expensive and so not worth to wear once at a high school prom...

it's short and white but i think it's sort of unique.... comparing to the traditional prom dresses.. i like how puffy it is.. it reminds me of some chanel haute couture dresses circa 2006-2007.. i think if i were to add some white chanel camelia brooch, it would look like a chanel dress!!!!!!

i would wear minimal jewelry... no diamonds or that shiny tacky stuff.. no necklaces, actually... maybe some chunky bracelets but i would tone them down.. maybe one ring... i would wear short, small earrings... none of those chandelier earrings, please.. i probably wouldnt have a clutch or a handbag... or i would just leave it in the car or limo or w/e....

i dont know how i would do my hair.. for the watanabe dress i would put it up perhaps in a ponytail w/ some curls... for the prorsum one i would probably just curl my hair and leave it free like lily donaldson.. not sure how i would do my makeup but probably a lil dark, rock n roll ish.. iono....
