uh i know this is a prom dress thread, but can i ask a little question about prom itself?
so i texted the guy im going with about what color corsage he got so i can get a matching boutinnere thing (cant spell that lol)
he replied "sry i didnt get one yet" and then a couple minutes later texted me "i'd be thankful if you got a matching corsage"

WTF. doesnt that totally defeat the purpose?! and btw, its not like we're close or anything. i started talking to him after he asked me to prom..rather randomly. why the hell am i supposed to reply to that? "no"? errr

for hair, i would sweep it up but make some curls fall down onto your shoulders (except i dont know how long your hair is lol)
and makeup...i would keep it light and fresh, but maybe make your eyes really intense to contrast against the light colors of your dress? hehe personal preferences.

okay then...for the hair, since its pretty short (if your hairs the same length as the first page pics) maybe curl it and put it half up and half down?

I bought this dress for my sister today...At first she didn't want to go to prom and all of a sudden She wants to go now! And her Prom is in 3 days...I had to go buy her a dress today because we don't have time...its in 3 days.....I mean I like this dress but when I showed her pictures of it (im in college and she's at home...so had to show her pics) She really didn't like it...She thought it looks like a dress to go salsa dancing and she didnt like the color cause she thought she would stand out too much...grrrrr.....What do u guys think of this dress??!! Maybe It'll change her mind...







and the dress is really long as u guys can see...Im gonna have to lake a layer off at the bottom :-/

well, instead of making it awkward why don't you two go together. kind of like, "hey let's get our corsage/boutinnere at the same place" and try to make it more friendly and a "bonding" time before prom; maybe invite him out for lunch and along the way stop by the flower shop. it's always a lot easier to match when you order from the same place because they come in a package deal or in pairs.

i always found it a bit awkward to ask my dates to get corsages and boutinneres so i suggest we go together and i pretend to let him have a say in it (haha usually girls always have a final say in what corsage and matching boutinnere they want )

i got a cute little dress from forever 21 for my friend's after party

apparently it's more formal than some people's actual prom dress
but i love love love it <3 <3 and it was under $30 so im really happy =)

a lot of my friends are just planning on wearing
jeans, heels, dressy/ club shirt though. soo i guess it all depends
on if you want to dress up or not

senior prom 2008 is coming up for my school and i still haven't gotten a dress.
i'm a junior and junior prom is in a week. i got my dress for that in december. ;x
i spent a lot on that dress and i don't want to spend a lot for prom since
it's not even my prom. i want to go for a full length or mid-thigh length dress.
does anyone have any suggestions for where to find a nice, decently priced or cheap dress?

what if your boobs isn't big enough to support a strapless dress? how should I deal with this problem?

Try buying a push up bra or a padded bra.
Check out some of the bras from Victoria Secret or something.
