Should I get a slit cut in the front? Like I always imagined my prefect prom dress as "orange, halter and slit". Would it ruin the front now?

^You don't have to. It isn't much of a difference anyway because all they'll ever say is, "I don't care. If you like it then it's fine with me." lol .. The only reason you would probably want to drag your date along is to pick out a color, otherwise, if you want an opinion on a dress, it'd be better to go with your friends.

I bought this dress today for $50 o_o. The quality is alright and it looks prettier in person ;3. I'm not sure if I should keep it. like i plan on going to a separate mall tomorrow to see if i see anything better. and then ill see which one i like and return the rest ;3. the thing is the strap is kinda big so the boob part is kinda low lol... that or i have no boobs.

This is what I have for my senior prom. I'll admit it was pricy, but my parents were fine with it.
The only problem I have now is finding a date and figuring out what to do with my hair.

a few months ago i went to san francisco & visited the macy's there. it was hella early prom shopping but yeah w/e. it was just for fun (: [oh btw, my mom gave me a $50 limit to buy a prom dress.. -__-) mmk, so I saw this nice purpley dress in the back priced at $170 sure, i knew i wouldn't be able to get it, but hey; that doesn't mean i can't try it on right? (;
so i try it on.. and love it.

but yeah. $50 mom? haha funny. -__-

so between w/e month that was & now, i went to a bunch of other places to go prom shopping & found nothing D: when prom gets closer and closer, going prom dress shopping loses its fun-ness :/ anyway, last saturday, my friend invited me to san fran and i thought to myself THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE [f0reveralways]!!! asjdfklas. yeah.

okay lalala i want to Macy's and found ONE of that purpley dress left and it just HAPPENED to be in my size but oh no. no price tag :/ so i ask the cashier lady to do a price check & it's only $60! yay. haha. but then *dun dun dun* tragedy strikes. there's a hole in the dress

but eh. it's on the side. i figured i could get my mom to sew it up. so i get discounted 15% for the rip & then my friend had some 20% off Macy's thing and i ended up paying only $44 (with tax) on the once $170 purpley dress. yay. happy ending. haha. i even managed to fit it under $50 like my mom asked! i've never been more proud. lol






PS: i'm thinking about asking my mom to turn it into a halter or connecting the two upper parts of the X on the back into one line so it becomes a 3-way thing from the center instead of a 4-way thing. err yeah. sorry i suck at describing stuff i plan on keeping my hair down for prom though.. so would it be unnecessary? :/

Hmmm... since the dress itself is short and cute, I think that you should maybe do an updo or something that shows off your neck. As for your makeup, you could have something that is sort of golden (or brownish) and smokey (since black fits with any other colors).
