smoky eye is probably the safest way to go, but don't over do it, make it simple.
a bit of shimmer/eyeliner/lashes..

eh is it wrong to wear your prom dress before the actual prom day? cause i have a stage concert when i have to wear a promish dress. its like 3 weeks before prom. would it be a DEFINITE no or like an eh try not to but if you cant it's fine? haha.

and is it also bad for your date to see your dress before prom? or does it not matter. ive been thinking that your date shouldnt but now idk ..

UGH. One of the dresses I hate the most. I used to think this dress was ok until I saw like a million people posting they got it and I've seen this one at prom so much that I just hate it now. LOL.

Anyways, I have an idea of what I want for mines, it's only a matter of getting it. Some of the dresses posted here are really nice but some are so..I don't know..common? I guess? I've seen so many of the same ones posted here and in the old thread and in stores that I'm getting sick of most of the designs. I'm really picky. Personally, I hate that cake layer thing that seems to be showing up so much and I don't like a ton of ruffles and I just don't like those dresses that look like strapless ones but have a sheer halter thing going on. Oh well, that's enough of that.

I bought this dress a few days ago for $36 (60% off, originally $90). Is it too wedding-dress like? T_T It's white/ivory with gold sparkles all over it. I've been looking at dresses for a while, and I've always avoided white because I don't want it to be too awkward, but I couldn't resist buying this dress because of the price.

well if you want to "wow" your date on the day of prom when he sees u in your dress then yeah you shouldn't let him see it. otherwise then it's fine. it's not a taboo.

all you guys found nice long dress that goes well with your figuers. i couldnt find any so i choose a short dress.

i really should be doing homework right now but i'm way too distracted thinking about prom.

i haven't made my dress yet and i don't know if i'll ever have time to make it. gahh it's just coming by so quickly.

anyway, my biggest dilemma is the ride situation. my friends and i were planning on going together but we all can't get rides. the place is so far away, almost 50 miles (1 hr. drive.) i was thinking about getting sedan or a small limo for the four of us but the price thing also kills. has anyone ever rented a limo/towncar before? i don't know how those hourly rates work. do they just sit there for four hours until the dance is over and then drive you to wherever you want to go afterwards?

please help!

^ most people have their limos wait i think. some people might rent two separate limos (one to drop off, one to pick up) but i don't know if that really works b/c there's usually a minimum # of hours you have to rent it.

talk about rides! my freakin school is making everybody go on a bus to get there and back. if your late for the rides then you dont go at ALL! there will be two bus that is leaving. so we have to be early if we wanna get good tables and stuff. How lame is that. we cant drive ourself there. its pretty far like say about 45-1hour away, but i would rather drive to get there and back. what if we get bored and want to leave ya know? but having the bus take us we cant leave at all unless we ask someone to pick us up and thats a no. our school is sooo gayyyy!

Hey my prom was last Saturday and overall I had an okay time. I was stuck at Ulta for 3 hours because they could not do the hairstyle that I wanted for prom. I then settled for a different hairstyle, rushed home and arrived an hour late to prom. However, I was pleased with my dress because no one was wearing the color or had a similar style (It was replicated from the green dress Beyonce wore).

Well, I tried making my own prom dress and it didn't turn out so well. The dress didn't look like the pattern, plus my body wasn't really meant for that dress. Which made me mad, but it's okay, I bought a dress that was better. Plus just make sure you know what you are doing and how long it's going to take, you don't want to finish the night before because you may have to do some more alterations. And as for the ride situation, I suggest you don't get the limo unless you and your friends are 100% sure you are going together. Because I had this problem with my friends. They couldn't decide and that made me frustrated. Plus make sure you all are willing to go everywhere together, you don't want to have to drop one couple here and the other there, that's just too much. My other friends decide to hang out together before prom and take pictures but one couple showed up 2 hours late, I'm so glad I didn't go with them. Group of friends can be fun but it can also be a hassle. But I checked the rates and it wasn't hourly but you should the yellow pages. Good luck.

I actually really liked how the dress went with my skin, of course it doesn't complement it as much as white and pink, but this color is definitely added to my list.

At my prom there were a lot of girl wearing casual and homecoming dresses, but with the right makeup and hair they totally pulled it off as "prom material;" even better than some girls who spent a lot of money. So girls you don't have to spend that much for a dress to look gorgeous in it.

pray that it wouldn't break DURING the prom .. o god wouldn't that be embarrassing
