I love their music! Beautiful songs <3
They really are amazing. When I was a sophomore, one of the drama professors did a production of "Love's Labors Lost" but made the men the Beatles! It worked perfectly and featured over a dozen songs by the Beatles. So now, whenever I hear songs like "I've Just Seen a Face", "Here Comes the Sun", and "Across the Universe", I think of Shakespeare.

don't listen to them as much as I use to but my favorite albums by them are Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, and Abbey Road. Their recent complilation album "Love" is amazing and I recommend everyone getting a copy.
I love the BEATLES! i've been listening to them since i was a toddler. my dad used to sing us to sleep w/ their songs.

i know they were and still are great, but the greatest in history? i dont know...kinda overrated.
im not crazy for them...for some reason, i get bored when i listen to them. i like some songs, but i have no patience for most of the tunes. their lyrics were great though

But if you wanted to hear it on Polaris, you would need an antenna and a receiver to convert it back to music, the same way people receive satellite television.
The idea came from Martin Lewis, a Los Angeles-based Beatles historian, who then got permission from McCartney, Yoko Ono and the two companies that own the rights to Beatles' music. One of those companies, Apple, was happy to approve the idea because is "always looking for new markets," Lewis said.
Perhaps coincidentally, the song's launching comes a day before the release of the DVD of the Julie Taymor movie named after the Beatles hit.

haha i heard about that on the radio the other. i thought it was cute how Paul said 'send my love to the aliens'.
The Beatles are on the biggest influential bands of the century. if it weren't for those 4 lads, then the music today would be completely different. so much of the music we listen to nowadays has been influenced by the beatles, they made music what it is today by creating and playing simple yet effective rock/pop tunes.
Their songs are timeless and brilliant, but some of their material takes some time to absorb. i would have to admit that the beatles aren't for everyone, but they are the backbone of music so we should at least appreciate that.

Every time i see or hear the about the time period of the 60's this quote comes to mind "The '60s are gone, dope will never be as cheap, sex never as free, and the rock and roll never as great." great words from a great man. The Beatles were good had great music with positive vibes that makes you wanna love those around you. But Clapton IS GO(O)D!! and John Lennon is Jesus

The Beatles are the main staple of my musical diet. I think it's impossible for someone to not like at least one song by them--their musical style evolved and grew over all of the years that they were together. There will never be another band like The Beatles, and there never needs to be--they made enough music to please generations for decades, even centuries, to come.
It's sort of elitist, but I chalk it up to a type of musical ignorance when people have only listened to one or two songs by The Beatles or claim they suck... Nearly every type of music has been influenced by them. Bands and artists from all different genres name The Beatles as their major influences, Beatles songs are legendary and iconic and pretty much inescapable no matter what culture you grow up in, and songs constantly reference The Beatles or musical ideas they had, even if unintentionally.
