gosh i just rewatched some of the beginning episodes and gosh gotta say they have AWESOME chemistry! totally still having the fever here... keke

*faints* AND, omg, it was just adorable when he thought she was pregnant and he looked so HAPPY! LOL! That was the cutest thing ever, and he even yelled so loud in front of other people that he'd care for her! AUGH! And remember how he was like "I want to take care of my WIFE" Haha, his definition of wife and husband is people who have made love, lol! He's so cute, even when he is being all tough! hehe, and loved when he reached to her and ask for a hand up after he was punched. Ah, and when Sansanee told him So got the bracelet from the guy that loves her, gosh, I was as thrilled as I imagine he was, haha! I can't help it, he and So are so fun to watch! XD



Wahahahhah! That was a pretty unexpected line for me, especially when he said "Baby" lol! it was funny and kind of evil and hot too..

Gawd, I really do love the way Harit turned right around and ADMITS he loves her instead of like in other dramas where he might continue pretending to hate her! But in here Harit just not-so-subtly expresses his feelings!

I would love for him to be as playful towards Aff, but i suspect it has something to do with how she already has a bf... I was searching info on JLR and i found lakorn on wikipedia, and there was a list of Most Noted Lakorn - Jam Loey Rak is the newest one added to the list!!! Isn't that great?!!!!! I'm so happy that it's recognized since it rules!!!

Yeah i was also hoping they would show more of the cast instead of the other drama King Kaew sometin's guy or something....i didn't even see Aff's face....the producer is young n pretty eh? Bt overall the clip was very funi due to the actions and the sound effect....

I'm surprised to see this thread still alive!! I'm still nursing my JLR fever; it hasn't gone down at all. In fact, I obsessively play the theme songs 24/7; especially that song by Punch. <33 I'm really looking forward to their new lakorn together. Right now, I'm just trying to pass time by watching all the news clips abt JLR that wishboniko subbed! Much love to her for making it possible for us to understand what we're watching! <33

haha, you and me both! I can't get enough of JLR, and I comfort myself by playing Punch and BoydPod's songs over and over again - the only time not listening to them is school and homework BUT gosh, they did a real good job with the music, those songs just represent JLR so well that I feel all warm and nice listening to them, and almost like i'm watching JLR again - which I really want to do! Aw, I hope this thread won't die, since I'm in such a JLR fever, I want to think and talk about it all the time, LOL! *fangirl* I don't predict getting cured from JLR anytime! It's just one of those really good dramas that you keep on your mental list!

LOL, that was so cute, showing them all snoozing and munching onset! So funny how the narrator is trying to be dramatic and yet sarcastic !! they work so hard yet still have enough time to sleep, eat, and fool around!!! XD But i'm glad! It would be bad if they all got sick from filming or stress or something!

I can't wait to watch Aff and Aum again too! I love the chemistry they had in JLR!! XD

Does anyone know where I can find an instrumental version of Punch's song for JLR? Or if there IS an instrumental??? I simply love listening to them! Brings me those good memories of JLR and also the mood too, changing from scene to scene!

LOL, I was watching JLR cast on that one show where they talked a lot about Waew (the monkey) and stuff that happened, and the hostess asked whether the kisses and slaps were real, and how Aum answered that the slaps were real but not the kisses... T-T So sad, it would have been even that much sweeter if they showed a real kiss! XD hhahahaha...

^Seems like it's just you and me now! I was looking all over for that instrumental too, I wish they'd release an OST for this lakorn, because I don't think the instrumentals are anywhere to be found T____T It sounds sadder than the version Punch performed too! I'm just waiting around for the day when the official DVDs are released, I hope it's soon so I could watch it on the big screen. How I adore this lakorn!

I think what made it even more memorable for me is seeing how well the cast get along with each other. All that banter, hitting, slapping, teasing!~ Always makes for a good laugh. Talking about the narrator of the news clips, is it only me or does she sound so much like Toey? X) I find her narration extremely hilarious, she's soooo snide with her remarks. And boy, Joy sure eats alot for someone as slim as her, doesn't she? And oh, p'umm seems pretty.. umm.. generous with his punches in that news clip, I burst out laughing each time he arm-locked someone or pushed some poor girl around. All this talk amongst the fans; if he's indeed abusive in person. HAHAHAHAHAA. I find that sooo amusing.

I really miss talking about the cast. Heck, mondays & tuesdays aren't ever going to be the same again.

It is pretty funny, except for me, there wasn't enough of the cast shown..
ah! so it is Toey who is the narrator no wonder! haha, she's so funny and sometimes does get annoying and really loud, but it's alright.

yeah! I really wish that they would release an OST for JLR! haha they have no idea how successful it would be! XD and I agree ayu, the way the cast interact with each other in real life is just so close and fun that it makes it even harder to forget them or stop thinking about them, since we know that they get along so well and all, haha...It just gives me this comfortable feeling about them, like they aren't just strangers in a movie together and as soon as the director calls "Cut" they just separate. They are like friends (and here I am, also wishing Aff and Aum were more than just friends too, lol, i'm such a fangirl)! XD

This was such an amazing drama. Won't be surprised if one day some Japanese, Korean or Chinese prod. company would try to remake this.

I can imagine Yamapi being Khun Harit and Horkita Maki being Soraya if ever there would be a Japanese version..say, 5 years from now? I'd really rather Japan do the 4th remake for it. They usually give justice to remakes.

Aum is so charismatic and Aff is so pretty! But heard Aum is crazy over Pinky and Aff has a military boyfriend. I can now guess why Aum doesn't play with her much as Joy, Mai or the other girls in the cast. I could bet a dollar he's trying to play it safe with Aff's boyfriend. Her bf looks pretty dominant and scary to me. Not the guy you'd wanna anger.

LOL, it would be fun if Yamapi played Harit! I didn't think about other countries remaking but i think that a J cast would be interesting...JLR really is such an amazing drama...I should check out the novel it was based on...I just love the way the story evolves! XD

Of course if you do a J remake, you'd change it a bit. Like instead of making it an island in the Andaman sea, you'd get some unknown island near Okinawa and Hokkaido. Yamapi seems to have that bad streak of Harit and Maki has that good girl vibe but the girl power that Soraya imbibes. And pearl farming is also pretty big in Japan. lol. It's such a good story not to spread.

I love Aff and Aum together but I sorta doubt he likes her as of now. I know for a fact that Chai tried to pursue Aff (and maybe Joy, he's quite on a roll with girls aside from dating Vicky Jett) but I think Aum is to crazy for Pinky as of now and Aff too with her boyfriend. But if they continue to do more lakorns together...I think they won't be able to help it but grow intimate with each other. They just weren't that comfortable enough with each other since JLR was their first outing, and they had "special interests" while filming it. I say they stand a chance together, time given. The tension is too obvious to ignore.

and it's true that aum is trying ot pursue pinky, but she just came out to say that he's a close friend...her closest guy friend at the moment. so still in the grey area for them...
and in the beginning, aum didn't really dare tease aff because he wasn't close to her yet. after a while of filming, she got it as well =) but probably not as much as joy..haha~ joy is such a riot, i love her! everyone teases her though, poor girl =)

I’m about to start re-watching JLR soon, so up to my eyes with work. This lakorn is indeed addictive, there are so many sweet scenes and sometimes the lines are just hilarious. Among my fav are:
• When Harit says that the cut is just like a cat’s scratch and Soraya wraps him up like a mummy. I laughed like crazy. Harit just looks delicious shirtless. Perfect scene as they are glaring at each other.
• At the beginning of ep14 when Harit hugs Soraya from behind near the lotus pond and nuzzles up against her.
• At the hospital when Khun Khawin says that Harit is just like a knight in shining BOAT.

But there’s one part that I don’t quite understand, in ep 7 after the R-incident, in front of Harin’s gravestone, Harit says, “I’m not too cruel, right Harin? I just want to take revenge for you. Since you were hurt, she must be hurt too. But I don’t understand that…why…”. WHY WHAT??

well good cause i don`t like pinky and aum togetherr XD. Yeah i know that kinda sound mean but thats cause i`m not a fan of pinkyy haha but she`s prettty tho.

Actually, when he thinks that Soraya is Sansanee, he always believes that she's not a virgin because he knows from Harin's diary that Sansanee used to sleep with his brother. That sentense "you are goin to lose ur viginity for nothing", in fact, I don't know how to explain the word "Sia Tua". It can mean " to lose one's viginity", though that one is not a virgin anymore.

Anyway, I think his "why" can mean many things because he's kind of unsure, confused and feel bad after he knows she's a virgin.

ah, i just finish watching this lakorn and i'm still having the fever with everyone else...everything harit did, was so sweet. he tried his best to protect and love So, but So is always thinking about P'san. it's so sad. There were so many sweet romantic scenes and everyone must have said it over and over so I'm just going to say, this is one of the really good lakorn i've seen so far. why? because the guy actually pursue the girl and was very openminded and straightforward about it too! too bad for P'san - she deserve to be deceived like that; serve her right for degrading people who were not high standard like her.

people keep saying about a new drama series with harit and so. what is the new drama call? darn, i don't speak thai and don't live near thai so i have to wait for other sub fans to do it before watching it. oh wells i just want to thank them. they did their best and greatest!

The lessons learned on 'Chamloey Rak'

The politicians may have been on television furiously bickering about the government's new policy proposals last Monday, but most of Thailand was over at Channel 3 watching the final episode of hit soap opera "Chamloey Rak" ("Defendant of Love")

Many of my colleagues left the office early so they could tune in at home, and afterwards a fan of the soap suggested in one of the Pantip.com chatrooms that the show deserved an award.

He reasoned that "Chamloey Rak" had finally weaned Thais away from their addiction to series from South Korea, that it encouraged producers to invest more in better programming, and that it got Thais laughing again, even with all the tense politics.

There were quite a few replies to the comment, many pointing out that the main theme of "Chamloey Rak" was revenge and that it featured a rape scene. One critic asked how a woman could fall in love with her rapist, as happened on the show.
Yet the critics also admitted they were fans of the series.

Regardless of this show's merits and drawbacks, the feedback demonstrated that, no matter how many foreign series are imported, Thais are ready to support homegrown programmes, especially if they have uniquely Thai aspects to them.

But all of this raises a question: What is the new Thai Public Broadcasting Service (TPBS) supposed to do when viewers' tastes don't seem to be changing? We still love our escapist television, with all of its imaginary characters.

Back on the air since February 15, TPBS has lost touch with the public. Aside from the noon news, which is a copy of TITV's, complete with a similar sequencing, the daytime programmes are not exactly enchanting. As I write, TPBS is airing a show on which viewers' questions are answered. Needless to say, it's just like TITV's "Ruam Duay Chuay Kan", only much less colourful.

Without advertising - which can be boring, but also funny or thought-provoking - and without programmes as good as those on cable TV, TPBS will have to work doubly hard to earn an audience.

Even if TPBS blows most of its budget bringing CNN and BBC to the non-paying public, how many people will watch regularly? It's boring watching "informative" shows around the clock, even with the global news updates on those channels.

Anyway, the "Chamloey Rak" phenomenon proves that popularity requires many things, not just good intentions. Hopefully, TPBS will do better than I expect and actually spur a wave of new thinking in our society.

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed because, sad to say, this is my last column. The Nation's new format and the arrival of XPress mean that "Small Screen" is making way for other interesting articles.

I'm glad that JLR is so successful, i truly loved this lakorn...i haven't been so into a series since...i can't really remember. i will continue to watch aff and aum because i think they have the best chemistry ANY couple has...Can't wait for the DVD!

i just watched the last episode yesterday and i was almost in tears in the beginning of ep. 14 when he was hugging her and she was crying!!! i also rewatched episode 12, 13! it's so funny. well..i like it when he looks jealous and pissed at her cuz she won't let him do certain things for her.
