Notice: I haven’t watched Lakorn (Thai Drama) for years. But I happened to read the novel (this drama was based on a novel under the same title) many years ago and see the teaser of this drama before it was on air. So, I was kinda interested to watch it. This drama has been re-remade more than three times (Interesting isn’t it? But Thais really like to re-make dramas hehe)
I missed a couple of early episodes so I looked for the video in youtube and found tons of it. Luckily, I came across the one that has an English subtitle. So justwant to share it with people who want to try Thai drama. This drama is what I call ‘typical Lakorn’ because of its storyline. But just for entertaining, you can check it out!

Synopsis
Hirit Rangsiman, the pearl farm's owner in the south of Thailand, is very angry and vengeful after Harin, his only younger brother commit suicide because Sansanee, Harin girlfriend, breaks up with him.
Harit wants to take vengeance on a girl who cause his brother's death, so he kidnaps her to torture, but he doesn't know that a girl who he kidnaps is Soraya, Sansanee's cousin. He still believe that Soraya is Sansanee no matter how Soraya tries to tell him. Soraya wants to repay her debt of gratitude to Sansanee because Sansanee used to save her life from drowning, so she accept this punishment instead of her beloved cousin.
However, they irresistibly fall in love with each other at last.

Atichart Chumnanont (Aum) as Harit
A late twenty-year-old son of a business man in the south of Thailand. He was studying abroad but had to come back to Thailand to look after his younger brother because of their father’s sudden death. He ran the pearl farm on an island and was a supporter for the villagers who lived around. Because of his great love to his brother, Harit took revenge on a girl who broke his brother’s heart. Even though he looked unkind, hard-heart, stubborn outside, but inside he had a hidden tenderness. After realizing that he had kidnapped a wrong girl, it was almost too late because he had alreadly fallen in love with her.
Taksaorn Paksukcharoen (Aff) as Soraya
A twenty-two-year-old fatherless village girl. She was brought up by her aunt and uncle-in-law. She grew up with Sansanee, her cousin. Because of the gratitude to her relatives and cousin to raise her, Soraya set her heart on accepting the punishment from Herit instead of her cousin. With the courage and bravery, she always tried to escape from confinement.
Rilanee Sripen (Joy) as Sansanee
A twenty-four-year-old attractive woman. She felt that Soraya, her cousin, took the love of her parents and other people. So, she has been secretly envied Soraya. The more Soraya was loved by others, the more she was jealous.
Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti (Chai) as Tawaschai
An early thirty-year-old rich business man. He was a man-in-a-dream of every woman in the city. He was truly in love with Sansanee but his formal lover didn’t let him go.

) I don't really care much about the rape scene as long as it's btw the two main...some of my favorite romance books are in this genre...(I love Claudia Dain "To Burn", it's almost identical to JLR)
