I'm new here, so I don't really know how this whole thing works.
If there's a topic about this already then please close this mod.
In Australia the countryroad bag is really ''in'' I see them everywhere.
My question is, is it worth it? What's the best colour?
It's $60 by the way.

Pretty?

Yup, Mooks is awesome. I got a $90 Mooks bag that isn't the cylinder style bag like the Country road bags, but bigger and oval/rectangular shaped.
Didn't really wanna get a country road bag cos yes, EVERYONE has them. At first I thought they were nice but I didn't wanna go with the flow so I got my Mooks bag.
Mooks <333
But uhh yeah, like twinkle_l0ve said, you can get Country Road bags in David Jones, Myer or Country Road (the official store should have more colours).

Feb 9 2008, 03:45 PM
country road bags are extremely overrated in my opinion.
i guess i dont really follow the crowd in these kind of things lol
but if you really want one i think $60 is reasonable.
its jsut you see the exact same bags on everyone... no matter what style/color it is. i see at least 5 of the same every day =.="

I'm from Washington state, Seattle area... I've *never* seen nor heard of Country Road-- is it only in Australia? (I think so...) No one in my area has those bags... then again, I'm away at law school in a country-ish/not big city setting.
I really like that first bag (the gray one).
[ETA] Just went to their online site. They have some cute stuff! I like the men's bags and hats... and the women's bags are pretty nice too. Hmm... now I *really* want one.

my opinion: NOT WORTH IT. as people have said.. 'everyone has one' and i think it looks a bit like a sleeping bag... with 60$ i would buy a better quality and better material bag... but if you like it.. then go ahead

Nice. Never seen one in cali. I like the first one. 2nd one seems like flannel pjs made into a bag. a bit plain, nice, but not worth $60 though. cause the material looks flimsy, $40, sure. $50, maybe. $60, not really.

I have a Country Road bag, mines black - the tag calls it navy though its not really navy
I live in Melbourne, yea basically everyone has them. So many try hard 13 year old asians have country road bags and it just looks so out of place on them.
They are very sturdy. I have mine for years and its never broken or anything. I'd say its quite worth $60 if you get a lot of use out of it.

GO LONSDALE.
Way too many people have country road bags. Lonsdale bags are sexier. I got mine two years ago for half price and I only really started using it recently. Way nicer than Country Road.

In regards to what some ppl are saying here...
I believe that's dumb (for a lack of a better word) to
not buy it b/c
everyone has one, and it's equally dumb to just buy it b/c
everyone has it too.
Buy it b/c YOU like it.
In a sense I can understand some ppl what their 'own identity', 'uniqueness' or w.e...but I don't think it should stop those who secretly like it from buyin' just b/c they believe it's overrated.
but yeah, I think some ppl have answered your question. So I won't bother..and can't anyway since i'm from Canada

^ Well, the thing is, once everyone has it, usually it either loses all appeal or just becomes more appealling depending on who you are. The fact everyone has it becomes a justification for why I would never get one that's all. QUOTE (ChickenNWaffles @ Feb 17 2008, 01:30 PM)

Yeah, I thought Country Road bags were really nice like...3 years ago. Then everyone suddenly got them last year and it became bleaugh. I'm love the Lonsdale bags, but I just know that they, along with Le coq sportif are going to be the next Country Road bags so I'm not sure if it's worth it to get a bag everyone's going to be sporting in half a years time

I have a country road bag too. >_>
Sorta embarrassing but size-wise its a good bag, especially when your carrying around books, food..anything really!
I find it a very 'convenient' bag too. Its quite ideal for traveling/or as a overnight bag too! ^^ I wouldn't carry my CR bag around town...more of a bag for school, not leisure. Just take a normal handbag out with me! ^^; But often when I'm in town I'll maybe 4-5 13 y/o girls in a group..all with CR bags. >_> Does look quite out of place on them a bit. =/
