I created this thread because I always watch Korean dramas and some of my friends end up having a somewhat similar situation to the characters.
So have you ever had a Korean drama moment whether it was with a bf/gf, the person you like(d), or your family? Share away~

Currently, I am living in one !
I'll try to explain my in the shortest length possible.
So it all started back in October when guy A liked me and I heard from my friend that was his best "girl" friend. I acted as if I didn't see it but along those lines, I came to meet guy A's friend, guy B. We just flirted for fun and no harm done. Guy A got pissed at Guy B since they were friends and Guy A hated the fact that he liked the same girl as Guy B because Guy A knew Guy B started developing feelings for me. So Guy B confessed to me before winter break started and I was like "what a joke" and kind of ignored the topic. He would call me once in a while and say "I love you" and all that stuff but I didn't like him so I didn't say anything and said he was a good friend. We started hanging out and then one Saturday I got to go "chill" with Guy B and his friend and my friend. His friend and my friend were going out and it was my first time meeting Guy B's friend. He and I clicked really well and let's name him Guy C. I could kind of sense that he had interest for me too since I was so understanding about things that his girlfriend wasn't because she's really sensitive. Afterwards, me and Guy C continued talking and we were having fun and we flirted a lot. I know I shouldn't but I never had the thought of breaking them up becasue if something happened between Guy C & my friend, he'd come running to me and telling me about it and stuff. So we decided to stay as friends and then Guy D came along which I thought he was pretty cute first semester but never got around to talking to him. He sat diagonally behind me in first period and he was friends with my friend who sat behind me. He and I started talking because of my friend that sat behidn me. Guy D and I became close and we would occasionally hug once in a while on friendly terms. Guy B got pissed at me because I was somehow not being faithful to him but we weren't even going out because I didn't even like him and I told him that. (what a jerk ) He just got pissed at me and called me a b.itch so I was like "you know what? screw you." and left. He and I didn't talk for a while but then like three days ago, my friend called me who was freaking tightttt with Guy D and was like "what would you want for a guy to do for you on valentines?" and that took me back by surprise because this girl we're talking about never asks stuff like this unless it's like true. So I kind of got the hint that Guy D wanted to spend V-Day with me so we were talking about it a few days ago and I was like "I don't have a valentine." *whine* and he was like, "(name), do you want to be my valentines?" and I said yes. & yeah. Currently Guy A still likes me and tries to hit on me and flirt with me again once in a while and Guy B is just plain pissed at Guy D and still likes me.

There you go. It's pretty long, eh? By the way, I'm not this popular regularly [;
p.s. I'd rather have Kwon Jiyong as my valentine then any one of them . =D

towards the end of last semester, during registration period, me and my crush were both gonna take the next level course for the course we were in, so we asked each other which days we registered for, i registered for a monday/wednesday/thursday class, and she registered for a tuesday/friday class

i went home i changed it to the tuesday/friday class without telling her
a week later after registration is over
i found out she changed it to the monday/wednesday/thursday class i was originally in, and i told her i switched to her tuesday/friday class
i was sad lol

... I thought this would only happen in cartoons...?

this guy (who comes from a not very well off family) works all summer to buy me an ipod. he pulls me into the apple store...asks me what color i like (saying that he wanted to buy it for himself). after buying it, he shoves it in my hand and says "happy birthday". he then walks off in a cold manner...kinda like how they do it in the dramas.


i didn't find it cute...it made everything awkward because i explicitly told him i didn't like him and that he's too young for me. (for goodness sakes...he was underage at the time!)

One time, I was going to school and I was riding a motorcycle. Suddenly, my crush went out of his car and looked at me. We had at least 10 seconds of eye contact and my hair was being blown by the wind. )

Then, another time. My other crush and I argued and we didn't talk for like a week. After our accounting exam, one of our classmates walked to me and discussed with me something about the quiz. Then, he walked up to us and he began talking to my classmate. Our classmate excused himself and went to the comfort room. The two of us was left with silence and immediately turn away. Like, he turned right and went to that direction and I, on the other hand, turned left and went left, of course. haha But now, we're just good friends.

Well, my best friend since forever is a guy. We hang out with each other as much as we can, but there was this one time when he kept flocking around me. He became more touchy-feely, dished out more compliments, so I assumed that he suddenly had feelings for me. I grew uncomfortable whenever we were together and I would literally have a battle raging in my head whenever we talked.

WELL, it turned out that he was trying to mack on one of my close friends. It sort of clicked, since he only acted that way whenever she was around. Everything fell back to normal.

I guess you could call it more of a sitcom than a drama, but yeh...you gotta experience it first-hand.

The one I remember the most happened last year.
It was inside the school
It was about 6pm though
We had a concert and there was this moment where I was really pissed off
and I started crying (I don't like it when people see me cry so I ran somewhere)
and then this guy as chasing after me, held my wrist and stopped me XP
HAHAS It was so weird...
But I don't like him though and I think he's....err...

I have a boyfriend, but when this was going on, we weren't on such great terms and I was in the
middle of deciding whether I wanted to stay with him or not.
My friend introduced me to this guy who I started to crush on.
Theeennn... my ex confessed to me that he still loved me, I confided in my best friend (who I also dated),
about it, and he got moody and stopped talking to me... turns out he liked me too.

I used to be into this guy years ago & he liked me too but we never really got

Theres this guy at school that all the asian girls are chasing after. Well me and him became friends but sometimes he makes me mad because hes really cold and unfeeling. Sometimes I think he doesnt care about anything and sometimes I almost feel like I know him because i think he opens up more around me and then he goes and be stupid again -__-

His dream is to become a member of a KPOP boy band. He's auditioning this spring and summer for JYP and SM. I'll be really happy if he gets picked but really sad at the same time because he'll move to korea for training:(

I haven't shared my moments (I'm a bad topic starter. Lol.) But I have a couple.

: I was on a band trip (geeky, I know) and there was this new kid that everyone liked since he was 'cool.' And so I didn't think he was all that great and my friend was telling me at the pool that she really liked him. She normally didn't go for that type of guys and so I played along saying "Oh, I like him too." She didn't get mad but she felt...less embarassed? Lmao. But unfortunately, his friend was there and heard everything. So the next day before our concert, he came up to me and asked if I liked him. I didn't know what to say so I walked away. But being the stubborn person he is, he followed and asked me out (really loudly) in front of everyone. So we ended up going out.

: Me & one of my guy friends were talking and grew really close since we had nothing to do during the summer and just chilled together. But neither of us told each other we liked one another. And that's when it happened...he got a girlfriend. She was one of our friends and for some time now she liked him. I felt envious but I decided to play it off. Couple of days later, me & him were talking about things and we both ended up confessing to one another. Bad idea because he broke it off with her and decided to come for me when I was loosing my feelings for him. -___- So it ended out that she hated me (but we're cool now) and he's just one of my guy friends.

: There was this guy (to be exact, my friend) and we were on flirting terms. We ended up going out but I just didn't feel right because we were more friend-based. I ended up breaking it off with him but the next day, he got in an accident and landed himself in the hospital. But he's okay now and we're still good friends.

I had something happen that was pretty much the exact confrontation between Elizabeth Bennet and her Darcy, but that's not Korean drama...just British craziness.

Hmmm...I guess I've had some dramatic moments, but they tend to more reminiscent of American things.

it was my parent's "Love life" story. my fave part was when my dad invited my mom to watch him play basketball. to my mom, it seemed ordinary and told my dad he'd better win. the gym was full of people. and at the last second my dad scored 3 points! everybody was practically cheering for my dad's team. everything was so exciting. my dad got a towel and walk towards my mom while wiping his face. my mom said the scene felt like "slow motion" as my dad walked towaeds her, she said as if the crowd was splitting to give way to my dad. then my mom's friend screamed "kiss! kiss!". mom didnt know what to do, she just stared. then..my dad kissed her..on the cheek!

yay!..i love that scene..

i say no, maybe later, blah, even though i kinda liked him.

so i think it's okay to let my feelings out in the open.
the girl gets mad at me, cusses at me, blah blah blah.
i'm just plain confused now, because she HAS a boyfriend, and she's acting as if that guy is hers.
but even though that's all happening, the guy asks me out again.
i'm still mixed up about my feelings, so i say i'll tell him later.
later that night, i told him i would accept his feelings.
the girl gets pissed off at me again, and starts getting her friends to talk crap at me and stuff.
a couple weeks later we break up because of not getting to see each other frequently and stuff...
but yeah. i had a lot of good moments with him, but it sucks that the girl chose a guy over me, even though i've known her, vice versa since we were like 5. ugh.

my korean drama moment..

do you know how parents always objects to their sons girlfriends?? that's what happened to me..

i had a korean boyfriend.. I'm not korean by the way.. so, we met, became friends and fell in love. I really thought that we were gonna be forever because he promised so many things to me.. he told me that after 2-3 years he would marry me.. it was so real that time.. but then, he had to go back to korea and I went to US to work. It was a long distance relationship.. I did all I could to make our relationship work and I know he did his best effort as well. Everything was going well.. until one day, he stopped calling, emailing and texting me. I thought he was just busy and all but then weeks passed but still no call from him.. so i called him almost everyday but no response.

I waited for a year for him, thought he will still come back.. but then i heard from a friend the reason why he suddenly left me without saying anything. My friend (he's korean, and a friend of my bf) told me that my bf's mother didn't want me.. i think because we're different race.. i'm not korean. He told his mother about me and didn't like it.. and so he had to choose.. the sad thing.. he chose to leave me..to let me go.

it's been 2yrs now.. still, i'm waiting.. but i know when to stop..

i wish i had a korean drama moment. sigh...

He biked to my house late at night to serenande to me, and i was like errr.... what the hell. ok I'm gonna go now, and he tried to kiss me right before i tried to leave WTFFFFFF *SMACK THAT HOE, slap slap*. Ok well, I didn't slap him but I hella dodged his kiss UGH. wtf WHO DOES THAT.
AND ON MY BIRTHDAY THE VERY NEXT YEAR WHEN I ALREADY HAD A NEW AND WAY BETTER BOYFRIEND, HE GOT ME A DOZEN ROSES FOR MY BIRTHDAY WTFF!!! -_____________________-; WHO DOES THAT!?
I was sooooo maddd, I had just came back from with my bf from a church retreat and my birthday weekend to find a dozen roses from my ex.... oh gawd.. how awkward..


Here's a note to anybody who wants to date a korean guy. AVOID THE FOBBY ONES! or at least the ones who watch korean dramas, they think it's the "way of life" or something. GAWD so annoying!

My mom always has stories. She and my dad wrote each other letters since my mom was in Taiwan and my dad was in America. He wrote in English, and she wrote in Chinese. My mom didn't know English and had to have her friend translate the letters to her. One day when she went to her college(it was all girls), she saw a crowd of students huddling around a bulletin board. They were all giggling and laughing, having a blast obviously. She approached the bulletin board was in utter shock that her friend, the translator, POSTED my dad's lovey dovey letter for everyone to see!

I can imagine my mom's surprised face... "Haaaaaaaaaaah?!!!!"

it seems like whenever I like a guy, he has his eyes on another girl, but then once I turn away, he looks in my direction
this happened simultaneously in one situation. I liked A, but he liked some other girl. During that time, B liked me. Then I turned away from A and started to like B. Of course everything flopped. A liked me while B didn't. che,

I feel like my whole past love life was a freaking korean drama. So complicated, confusing, and annoying, lol.

i have a lot... mostly sad though here's one:

My co-worker before seemed to like me.. he called me everyday. He would go to my working place everyday even if he doesn't work... just to visit me. I started liking him because of that. Later on, he asked me to go to malls etc... but i was kinda uncomfortable to be with him alone so i told him i'd bring my best friend with me... That happened like two times? And then I noticed that he doesn't call me anymore... One day, I was with my bestfriend, she got a phone call and it was HIM! I was like "Wow, so he likes talking to you more, huh?" Like a week later, I found out that him and my best friend are going out

I was soo mad... not at my bestfriend though because I wasn't truthful to her... I vented it all to him lol. They were only going out for a week but then my best friend broke up with him because she realized he was worthless haha.

This same kind of story happened to me again just after the drama about me, my bestfriend and my coworker happened! But this time, my role was like my coworker. I had this guy friend... I often talked to him about my problems... I cried to him too in new year's day when I found out that my bestfriend and my coworker were dating. Then soon, he confessed that he liked me... One day, we went to watch movies with his friend and my best friend... His friend was very sociable... When I said my bestfriend and I were leaving first, he hugged me! I completely fell for him... The guy that liked me texted me and he was mad because his friend kept on saying that I was hot XD. He was like "You liked to hear that huh?" After that, him and his friend fought for a week...then, his friend called me up and told me "I wish I met you before he did". After that, we didn't talk to one another anymore... and i dumped the guy that liked me because he was kinda becoming a jerk... but now i kinda miss him... not because I like him as a guy but I liked him as a friend... XD

It happened like 3 years ago, when my guy friend (which i really like before), he was going out with my friend. They got into this argument in a karoake room, because supposingly she was drunk and broke the cuff he gave to him. ( the guy friend and I bought the cuff together, and he really likes it)... sooo the argument heats up, he ran out of the room. Being a worry friend, I ran after him, and then he stopped, turn around and hugged me really tight. I was so overwhelmed with it because i wasnt expecting that. Then, i experienced something, everything around me just stopped, and he said "Remember that cuff? we bought it together, and she broke it..."

At that moment, I didnt know what to say, I just return the hug. That was the first and only time, I fell hard for a guy. He's graduated and gone now. =(. At times, i do miss him, but as a friend wise.

my love life right now is like a k-drama....he's the perfect prince charming, hehee.

Whenever I get mad, he'll grab and hold me..gosh..so cute. He surprized me with flowers once. He folded 1000 papercranes for me because I mentioned to him once that i wanted to fold 1000 papercranes to wish for my dad to come back. For valentines, he placed rose petals all over his room, lit candles and had roses, chocolate and a care bare laying on the bed for me. Gosh, everything he does is right out of a dream but it's not a dream, it's real. For my birthday he baked a cake for me, took me out on a shopping spree and threw me a party! Whereever we are, whenever it is, whatever it is, you can see his love in his eyes for me. Gosh, i love him and...this is the great part....he resembles Won Bin, hahaa. Gosh, I love him!

living one actually...and i was actually in korea too ; last december,met my long time skype buddy for the 1st time,things developped like really quickly,then there was my boyfriend who lives there too that i had to meet for the 1st time too...and i find out that my feelings were going opposite way like...liking my boyfriend and loving my friend..;

He did that? Totally a k-drama moment. ^^

oh man. my life is now exiting the k-drama moment, but basically:

This girl, in love with my boyfriend for two years, graduated two years early to follow him to college. We were keeping our relationship secret last year, but she knew about it because she had asked him about me, and used our secrecy to her advantage by flirting with him madly ALL. THE. TIME. Tickling him, asking him to come over to her room to help her with "computer issues" a lot, et cetera. She was close friends with my boyfriend, and our other mutual friend from high school so I didn't want to cause any commotion about it, but she was a sly one. She backed off after my boyfriend and I went public about our relationship and I've actually grown to like her a little by now.

But now another girl who told everyone she knew last year that she was in love with my boyfriend (who, to be fair, wasn't my boyfriend at the time), is coming back from a year long break from college. She's already sent him a secret message on facebook asking him to "keep it between us." I'm not looking forward to her return, mainly because she was a nightmare to deal with when I lived with her freshman year.

Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a k-drama.

1. My yesterday was so messed up and sad but good at the same time.

So, there was a party at school that our class had to go because we were the class who did the cleaning ( lol ) and we had to stay until the very end which was like 10 pm. There were little kids everywhere and it felt really awkward and embarassing to dance when they are there so some of us decided to go upstairs into our homeroom. A few of us sat there in silent, when a really sad song played and I've been feeling so depressed for the past few days, I couldn't held it in any longer, so I cried like a baby. Guy 1, my long time crush was sitting beside me, when he saw me crying he comforted me, he was so cute, I almost fell asleep on his shoulder. But then... Guy 2 came in and ruined everything and confessed that he's in love with me, and it felt so wrong, I was still in Guy 1's arms. I didn't say a single word, but Guy 1 did : " - insert name -, please leave " and he did so, but then he came back and brought me cola and chocolate ( that I ate because I was hungry, dammit ) and I could feel that Guy 1 was really nervous...
Then it was time to go home, Guy 1 said that he'll walk me home, I said okay ( my inner girl-falling-in-lone screamed in happiness ) but then Guy 2 came and said " I'm coming, too! " I guess I even choked on the air I breathed in. The three of us walked in silent : Guy 2 on the left, me between the two, Guy 1 on my right. None of us talked or anything. When we reached my house Guy 2 said " Good night ! Sweet dreams, Kata! " and began to walk off, then Guy 1 still stayed and said " Sorry, this isn't the way I planned it. " I let out a chuckle and wawed goodbye, then he flashed his smile and also began to walk off. Then a group of people of my class came and saw us smiling and each other and they were like " - insert name - you like her? " then he only said " I guess so " quietly, I guess he doesn't know I heard it.
I smiled like an idiot after that, I still can't believe it happened.

2. Today was really cold, and a lot, I mean a LOT of snow fell. I had to go somewhere, there was ice everywhere. There was this HOT guy on the other side of the road, he was walking to the direction I came from. Our eyes met and we had eye contact for like 5 seconds but then I fell because slipped on the ice. I ended up sitting on my bottom. I looked over to the guy again he wasn't laughing only smiling sweetly at me. I think I felt the ice under my hands melt. Haha... but then I had to hurry, because I was already late.

3. This happened a few weeks ago. There's a guy who likes me, but I don't ever remember his name. I always see him at mornings when I go to school and when I come home... So, I didn't want to look at him or anything and I pretended to be talking on the phone... I was walking past him when my cell began ringing... I stopped my steps and I said " W-w-wait.. there's someone calling... " and picked up the phone and began to walk off quickly. I was so embarassed.. TT-TT

4. This also happened a few weeks ago. I was waiting to get to the other side of the road, and there was a guy walking down the street. We had the eye contact and we even smiled, I was so lost in his stare, but then one of the drivers began shouting " ARE YOU GOING OR NOT?? " I bowed as the sign of apologisement ( is that even a word? ) and run to the other side of the road.

I'm going to post more soob, I'm really tired at the moment. TT-TT
Don't worry, there's really a lot more to come, my life IS a k-drama, haha.
