A lot of celebrities use YouTube to spread their popularity, and a few people have actually gotten record deals thanks to YouTube (Esmee Denters, Mia Rose of the more well known), but often I go to Youtube to listen to the more underrated singers, or just because I like acoustics/covers better than the original. We can share our lists of Youtube singers we like, whether they are signed or not. (Also whether they are good or not, I have a few guilty "bad singer" pleasures - JawKneeYeah > <;;)

My Must Subscribe List:
1). Brad Doggett - doggettbm - http://youtube.com/user/doggettbm
His voice is very good, he sings with such ease. He's currently my favourite Youtube voice even though he's not anything superstar like Esmee. Plays the guitar, "bangs" on the piano, and sings. 20 yrs old heartthrobbb hailing from Virginia.

Sweetest Girl Remix (Acoustic) (won a opening spot in the Wclef concert b/c of this)
Buy U a Drank - Hate the song, but he makes it sound like a lullaby. TPain cover (side note, do check the David Sides piano version!!)
Toxic (Britney Spears) - The last line is classic.
Chris B. - With You - A duet with his friend, he doesn't sing as much, but a lot of cameo of his lovely face. XP -
Behind Me - Original Song
2). Marie Digby - MarieDigby - http://youtube.com/user/MarieDigby
With her around, I don't know how Mia Rose got so popular (oh right, cause she's got that "sweet girl next door" attitude?), okay point is: This girl is good. Some people might remember the 2004 Patene Pro-Voice competition, she was a finalist. She's 1/2 Irish, and 1/2 Japanese, very humble, pure voice, wonderful singer who plays the piano and guitar. Her album is coming out soon! Buy it! =]

Miss Invisible (originaly) - Patene Pro-Voice 2004 finalist. I loved this song when I was 14, can't believe she was the singer!
Say It Again - Her first single.
Rhihanna - Umbrella - 4 millions views.
What I've Done - Linkin Park cover. She really can sing anything!
James Morrison - You Give Me Something - Awesome, beautiful cover.
3a). Son Nachname - urbangermany - http://youtube.com/user/urbangermany
I don't know much about him, but he has a very soothing voice. He's Asian with a Justin Timberlake flare. Easily one of the best RnB voices of Youtube, and probably needs more recognition because he hasn't been posting videos as of the late.
Recommended Videos:
Neyo - Because of You
Alicia Keys - Like You'll Never See Me Again
Brian McKnight - 6, 8, 12
Does He Know - Original Song
3b). David Choi - davidchoi - http://youtube.com/user/davidchoimusic
I believe most of Soompi would know him? But to be fair - this is our classic 'does not smile' singer who has caught my heart with the disgusting song about George Bush, farts, chocolate pies, and digging for "gold." Probably has the most musical experience out of all the singers I recommend simply because his job is to be a songwriter (for Warner Bros), but he has the most laid back style out of all of them. Check out his original songs too!

That Girl (Original) - Lovely song, makes me want to cry, hahha.
YouTube (A Love Song) - This one got featured, =]
Michael Buble - Everything - My favourite cover.
4). Terra Naomi - terranaomi - http://youtube.com/user/terranaomi
Perhaps the most underrated signed artist of Youtube, and that's probably because she got signed in the UK. Her song Say It's Possible reached #1 there, and the video also won Best Music Video for Youtube Awards. She has the whole Alanis Morissette feel/attitude, but the songs she writes are very top-notch. Maybe a little generic to the genre, but definitely something you can buy and expect your money's worth. Her album is out already.
Recommended Videos: (All original)
Say It's Possible - Song that got her famous.
Up Here - Very catchy song - warning: has very prominent cuss words
Flesh For Bones
5). Johnny - JawKneeYeah - http://youtube.com/user/JawKneeYeah
My non-serious recommendation... this guy, I think can sing, but chooses not to sing well. He makes his own videos, hilariously rendered and edited with the upmost creativity. I guess one way to say it is that he's the MusicVideo Westernized "Mo Lei Tau" (Silly Talk/Nonsense Comedy characertized by Stephen Chow) of Youtube. He can't really sing, but he's there for comedy. Check him out - seriously! Most of his videos are ones that make fun of the top 10 Billboard songs, and once in a while there's something sentimental in it. WARNING: If you can't take comedic covers seriously, don't watch - he means to ruin the song in his own awesome way.
Recommended Videos:
Soulja Boy - Crank Dat - Apparently this was highly anticipated. I really hate the song, but he just makes it so funny.
TPain - Buy U a Drank - Classic - Pepsi & Coke - this video allowed me to discover doggettbm, so I have to put it up.
Deathcab - I'll Follow You Into the Dark As silly as it was, it made me smile. You'll like it if you have siblings you love.
JT's - What Goes Around Comes Around
For the chinese: A. Lavigne - Girlfriend - Yes he sings the Mandarin part. =]
That's my TOP 5 Youtube addictions!
Of course, honorary mentions: passionsf, onenineeightnine (soompi user), JenniferChung (Ariel Part of Your World Broadway winner)...that's about it. ^ ^;; I'm pretty sure hardcore Youtubers have heard of at least 2/5 of these singers. Take time to check them out, they're really worth a listen! Also, share some Youtube singers you like and think are underrated.
I think this is Soompi-legal? This thread. Just giving one to Youtube singers in general, because it'd be a waste to create a topic for each one - that's a million of them since there are so many good Youtube singers, and everyone has their own opinion. This way, we can have a quick list - I suppose if asked/need be, I can add the ones recommended to the first post. ^ ^!
