I'm pretty new to soompi so I'm not sure if somebody already made this topic already..

But I was wondering if you guys all thought of the school/college you hope and plan to go to in the future. Also, what are you guys wanting or thinking of majoring in?? Hehe tell me what grade you are in right now too

As for me I'm a sophomore right now. I'm hoping to go to Northwestern and major in broadcast journalism and minor in piano or dance.

I want to be a journo too! I am currently in tenth grade (is that referred to as sophomore year in the States?) and I've decided on a print journalism major. Not quite sure which uni, but possibly CSU since it offers the best journalism course in the country.

Double major in Civil Engineering and East Asian Studies...

lol, i don't know how realistic I am, but I really love buildings and have been interested in how they stand.
Also, I really put huge emphasis on my culture, which is why I choose EAS as a major.

I plan to double major in Business Economics with an emphasis in international and some other foreign language (probably Chinese).... not so sure about grad school though.

i'm a senior graduating in june. i plan on double majoring in psychology-sociology. minor in chinese? not too suree. i want to get into UC santa cruz. away from my town.

i never really gave it much thought as to what i will be doing in the future... after i graduate college, or even before college... if that made sense. >< I DONT EVEN KNOW WHICH COLLEGE I WANT TO GO TO, wait... i think i do.

ive been jumping back and forth between a career in computers (i dunno what... to be specific) or teaching children with disabilities. lately, ive been contemplating on being an illustrator... but sadly, i dont have a portfolio.. what the crap!? ARGGGGG.
right now... i feel very very educated in computers... cause the house/program im in, in highschool, has to do with techonology
but... i have this feeling inside of me... telling me to become a teacher =.=

but then... im having second thoughts on both of those choices.

Hehe you should become a general doctor they know a little bit of everything and they're the ones that do the check ups and stuff.

Senior, going to Biola University hopefully with a major in nursing. If I don't get into the nursing program, I'm either going to go in undeclared and try to get into the program junior year or major in English and become a teacher.

So many of you guys seem to have interests in double major or minors in Asian studies, haha. I really wish I could minor in a language but my school doesn't offer any Asian languages, a bit disappointing but a sacrifice I have to make.

i was planning on doing graphic design (design, first). then asian studies & languages/secondary education. now i chose to do nursing, and i got in. ^^

but i doubt im going to get a high enough UAI for physio

Its not what your mom or dad wants, remember that. No matter how much they pressure you, its YOUR choice. I've learnt that.

I am a junior and i'd like to get into mostly any UC. So far i'm interested in UC berkeley, UCLA, UCD, and UCSD. If i don't make it into any of those then i guess im probably going to san francisco state because i live 5 minutes away from it if i take a bus.

At the moment, i am undecided for my major and i don't know what i want to do when i grow up. All i know for sure is that i dont want to struggle all day to make money just to live in an apartment.

My mom wants me to be a doctor, lawyer, or maybe architect. Mostly jobs with decent pay. She would love it if i ever went to an Ivy League school but that's probably not going to happen. So right now she wants me to go to a UC or any good school.

My dad doesn't really know anything about education so he just wants me to make money.

Senior, I am majoring in communications and the school accepted me for that so hopefully I do get to major in it.

I might also want to be a writer. I love writing and reading. Drawing is another thing I adore too. I think those things will probably just be hobbies though. I really want to be a nurse.

My school offers work experience (basically volunteer where the school allows you to volunteer for a week at your choice, you miss school during that week though) and I chose to do Nursing-- and I went to a nursing home and it was fuuun :3 The elderly were all very friendly and nice. I even got to interview one of them which was awesome.

I've heard that St.Olaf have gotten really difficult to get in. I remember reading in a newspaper that more than 400 senior HS (2007) applied and most of the people didn't get accepted. St. Olaf is a private college as well.

Aiming to major in Interior Design/Architecture... Haven't decided what college yet, but I'm only limited to the colleges in Southern California.. and with my GPA, I doubt I'll get in Art Center D:

St. Olaf has an acceptance rate I heard of like 60 percent still, but it's rapidly going down. Like 2 years ago it was a safety school, and now it's top notch all of a sudden. It's a great school though. Love the campus =P

That's the only thing bad about UCs. All the hard ones have Business majors!
