I love episode 12. I cried watching half of it! Will be back to write more if I still have the energy. I have church and a musical concert today. I can't believe I woke up at 7 am again without even my alarm working to watch this episode. lol. Next episode will be very very very very good as well!!! I can't wait to see it!

I hated Anna in episode 12! What she did to CX and XY's relationship is unforgivable!

I just wanted to say that anyone who's doubted Ethan's acting (and I know there are quite a few of those people out there) better be proved wrong with this episode. He was absolutely AMAZING. His performance in ep. 12 was even better than what I saw in Wayward Kenting. The part where he wa talking to Anson and kept saying, "It wasn't an accident" was especially devastating. And also when he had to sign the papers. *dies*

And Qiao En, god she's seriously a gem in the Taiwan acting industry. I don't know of any other idol drama actress who could've performed like she did in the hospital scenes. Truly truly heartbreaking. Even before that, I BURST OUT crying when I saw the blood. and EVEN BEFORE THAT, when she was trying so hard to save the sand doll.. thing. ahhhhh I wanted to give her a big hug

I wonder if the truth about Anna giving XY the abortion papers will come out. I hope CX finds out!!!!!!

I cried so much.

When XY was saving the sand person, and was trying hard to do so, tears started falling.
It was just so sad. At the beginning, I felt bad for Anna cause she kept on getting hurt and she didn't do anything other than leave CX, but in this episode, what she did to XY was unforgivable. I really hope that CX finds out like how he found out the truth about the birthday pen, except without the part with Dylan telling him.

Can't wait for the next episode!

I was one of those people who doubted Xiao Tian's acting ability that he was nothing but a pretty face. And I need to apologize for that, cause this episode has proved me wrong. Qiao En is as always, amazing, but Mr Ruan. *bows and makes a standing ovation applaud* I'm looking forward to watch his future projects. He had made me a fan because of this. He had his eyes brimming with tears throughout the whole episode. And the part where he staggered towards the chair in the hospital and sobbing earnestly was so heartbreaking and I bawled my eyes out along with him, and wishing that I'd give him a bear hug and comforting him. They [the cast and crew] deserved over 7 rating for this episode [though I hope for a 10 one cause I wanted to see Ethan and River swimming naked]

The most heartbreaking and emotional episode I've seen in a long time. T_____T...so touching...and I loved how they filmed it, especially during the crash and the blood, also when XY was admitted in the hospital. It just made everything so much more emotional...and what Anna did was just unforgivable. If it wasn't for the divorce papers, XY would not have been in the accident. Not only did Anna hurt XY, she also hurt CX...now he's blaming himself for everything. She's so selfish...if CX ever finds out, I don't know what he'll do to her. Especially since he acknowledged how much XY has done for Anna.

I think the next episode will mostly be about XY adjusting to her new life in Shanghai, and being one of the students of the famous potter. A few years might also pass. I do think that the episode will end with XY and CX meeting again for the very first time, and the credits will then roll.

Episode 1 got me liking the drama, after all these episodes epspecially the emotional roller coaster they sent me on in 12 , all i can say is that it is undoubted my favorite drama of 2008! Joe and Ethan are the best!

I totally agree with you about the accident and hospital scenes. I loved that the director really did something different and creative to make those important scenes have more impact. It REALLY worked for me. I expected the accident to just be shown in a really straightforward way. It would've been quite anticlimactic if he just filmed her on the car, then rolling off the car onto the ground all within 5 seconds hahaha BUT YES. beautifully filmed T__T

and you're probably right about the CX & XY encounter. right when he rolls down the window.... END CREDITS!!

i think ethan, baron and Qiao En all acted wonderfully in this drama. their acting looks very natural except that i think ethan's character tend to be a bit too goofy. besides their looks i think both ethan and baron both have very nice voices~

i actually could not stop crying TT_______________________TT.

i was bawling my eyes out pretty much from the moment XY gets hit by the car til the end!!! omg it was so sad, their emotions so raw i loved this episode, as sad as it was. cos everything before was pretty fluffy stuff, but now the emotions really show through.

This episode has got to be the most heartbreaking episode so far. It was devastating even though I knew what was going to happen...since the drama chose to follow the novel's adaptation religiously.

OMG...i cried heaps when Xin Yi lost her baby. OMG!! i keep reading through forums that Anna will become PREGGERS?!! OMG!!? I wonder if it's true. and who would be the father?? and that Anna is Dylan's lost sister?? how funny is that?? i thought i watched the of episode when Anna was hospitalised, she dreamt of her mother which her mother said as her only child, she should be famous and be at the center stage or something like that? OMG!! Xin Yi and Dylan would make a happy couple but in Xin Yi's heart, there's Cun Xi even before the baby.

Ahhhh...when XY woke up from accident.. QE's acting was sooooo good.. it looked so real..I was tearing so much my mum had to come in and check on me to see if i was alrite. I think someone should have slapped anna over the face. If anna really does get pregnant i hope she loses! cos she caused XY to lose her cos of her selfishness of not wanting to lose CX and the part she was "crying" for XY i think a saw a faint smile in there.. evil woman! or she was just a really bad actor.

Congratulations to QE and Ethan for this very touching episode 12. Your acting made it so real and I was crying the whole time and cried again when I rewatched my favorite scenes. You certainly deserve the highest rating. I commend the director for the way this episode was presented, especially the part where there were flasbacks while XY was hit by the car and the slow motion way it was shown gave it greater impact. I also want to make mention of XY's mom; the scene where she was comforting XY was just so touching. Kudos also goes to Baron; your portrayal of Dylan is very convincing and sweet.

As for Bianca Bai, she is a poor choice because she does not know how to act if her life depended on it. She ruins every scene with her deadpan expression. I hope she gets less exposure in the upcoming episodes.

Word out on the street is that episode 11 was the halfway mark though. Which means there'd be over 20 episodes?? I don't really think 20 episodes is necessary though

i know a lot of people have said this over and over again in the past two pages, but i'm quite shocked myself, so i find myself repeating what everyone else just said =PPP forgive me.

first off, i couldn't wait for the subs to come out after i saw everyone raving and crying about the episode. i read so much of the spoilers and everyone's comments that i was sure i'd be unaffected emotionally because i was already primed for it. i decided to just watch it in chinese with no subs - and i'm very bad with chinese. (even with studying it for four years i can barely string the sentences that they say along =P)

but i found myself sobbing at all the right scenes! the apprehension...the tension...the sadness...the despair - i felt it all from these actors! they are AMAZING! especially XY's family (aside from XY and CX - they're good - it's already established). their portrayal was sooooo strong. even though the oldest sister didn't cry i could see that she was acting as the strong one.

baron chen i feel was underused. he was used for exposition (i think - based on my understanding) and as a catalyst, but other than that, i feel like they didn't let him show off his acting skills yet. i think in the shanghai episode he can show off more of his range - and i'm looking forward to that.

i never minded bianca bai before - everyone complained about her bad acting when she came back, but i thought it was reasonable. it was only in this episode that i saw her weaknesses come through. she wasn't convincing when she wanted to be "evil" nor when she wanted to be the "guilty one" after she finds out about XY and the accident. so i think that's when she started getting really really weak.

i myself expected the ratings to be super high - around 8.something. but i think they overhyped it a little too. i hope that they don't extend it too long, or else the popularity might die down and they won't get very high ratings all the way to the end. i'd really like for it to finish strong, with each week climbing up the charts little by little.

heh - i used to be against this whole miscarriage idea until it seemed inevitable, but now that i see how they did it, i think it's a wonderful opportunity to let the characters grow. i think i had this thought where everyone would still be stuck in stupid, but i see now that the writers are gonna make the characters grow a bit more, develop a bit more.

need to get rid of anna - she's getting on my nerves - she broke my crying spell when she was walking through the rain and got the phone call from anson - i didn't care for what happened to her after CX left her =PPPP

also, not looking forward to XY's new hairdo - the bangs are soo overwhelming!!! O_O

I totally agree with you about Baron's character. Up to this point, all he ever did was act as a catalyst, especially for CX. He would say a few lines and act as CX's conscience and provoke CX to react in the "correct" way. But this is why I'm looking forward to the Shanghai episodes.. Dylan's going to play a bigger role

I think the point WAS that she was horrible at being evil, and she totally failed at trying to be evil.. because she's not a naturally conniving person. So that whole thing about Anna being Dylan's biological sister is either resolved, or isn't even true? hahah ooooo BUT I'M SO GLAD SHE'S OUT OF THE PICTURE HEHEHEHEHH.
