In response to the generic "formula" of teen idols, FTLY seems different because it's more fast paced and humorous. The puns on the names are great too like the doctor's, their baby's, the older sister's baby. Plus, many girls can relate to being a "sticky note girl' and dream of being noticed.

This is really good and it's doing well. Up to 5.18 in ratings! Even TKA wasn't that much!!
But this is going to have some competition since it's at the same time as
Rolling Love. And we all know how popular Genie, Jiro, and Danson together can get.

the rolling love drama has a good cast, however, the PLOT doesn't quite compare.



regardless, i can't wait for next week's episode. anna's really an eyesore. and to the ears as well. hearing her speak english makes me cringe every time.

I'm not saying it's bad or it will drop but there will be competition. You can't argue that fact.
And yah, the first episode of RL isn't what they hyped it up to be.

Episode 8 was hilarious...especially the scenes at the restuarant.

Episode 8 is bittersweet because we can see that Ji Cunxi is falling for Xinyi, at the same time, we know that Anna is coming back and that spells heartache for Xinyi. Ji Cunxi's eyes are so expressive and from the pictures below, it is clear that he is already smitten. Just love the way he looks at Xinyi; there is so much tenderness in his eyes.

I can not wait for next week. And amen to the fact that CX is the first to express his love for her first. I like this kid more and more. xD

Echoing a previous poster, Anna's voice annoys me too, especially when she speaks English. *shudders*

this is really an addicting drama TW haven't have for a while. Ethan's acting is getting really good, his expressions (although at times are kinda conceited) are so funny ;D. The female lead is also very loveable and has characters that many average janes can relate to. The characters remind me of all those TW romance novels I used to be addicted to, maybe that's why i like this drama so much.

Epi 8 is definitely one of the funniest epi. i was cracking up when CX was fighting to remove the chicken suit from his "chicken-angel", they are hilarious! Totally looking to epi 9!

p.s. not that i don't like the anna character, but the girl who plays her really needs to polish her acting skills, i kinda shuddered and cringed everytime she's on screen =P

In the preview, it's so cute how when the light bulb exploded, they jumped and hugged each. Except when XY tried to pull away, CX pulled her towards him. Awww!

Wow, I'm impressed. I think the novel gives me more feelings about CX than the drama itself. Not sure if it was because of the plot or because of the actor. Anyway, I want to see more of Dylan though.

I agree with you. Although the actors themselves will initially attract A LOT of their fans, if the story sucks then the ratings will drop regardless of the actors' popularity

The happiness that CX gives to XY in episodes 8-9 just makes the looming sorrow she will face even harder to bear.

If the drama is following the FTLY novel, I recommend skip the tissues and go straight for the buckets.

The scriptwriter wrote in her blog that there will definitely be more than 15 episodes and as at now they are still not sure how many episodes in total because filming is still ongoing.

Problem is sometimes an episode of script can be filmed into 2 episodes of actual drama.

Scriptwriter quoted the example of My Lucky Star of which there were 14 episodes of script but actually filmed into 22 episodes.

I realise that I love storylines from SETTV. From WZBQW to FTLY, I think they have something to make you wanna watch on week after week.

It's been quite sometime (since My Lucky Star last year) that I'm so into a drama. Hmm maybe besides Wu Zun dramas as I'm a fan of him (but I didn't like Romantic Princess that much)

Ethan isn't that spectacular but he's doing fine with the male lead. For Qiao En we have nothing much to say as she has been good since I watched WZBQW. I was actually drawn to the drama because of the 3rd ep ratings which shocked me. It must be really good to get such ratings. I finally watched it a few weeks ago and never got disappointed

Anyway next episode will be the most anticipated one! Can't wait for the kiss betweeen CX and XY
