Who says I was for that? I'm also not for remaking Hano Yori Dango because I think that whole franchise is overrated, but that's ANOTHER story altogether. I'm not saying Filipinos should not remake Korean dramas because K-dramas are superior... it's not my basis. My basis is I see a disaster.

If you know the traditions of soap opera making in the Philippines, you would disagree too. Remaking Telenovelas in the Philippines is more acceptable because we basically have the same story-telling style as our South American counterparts, blame the years and years of influence in Spain.

K-dramas are different, and once this starts expect another station to copy it. Now, I will see My Girl with Ju Yoo Rin's hair being pulled as she does laundry for the guy's family. Kim Sam Soon having a slapping fest with whoever.

first... regine is way too old to play the role. she's just desperate for attention. for a primetime series. but unfortunately, i cant see any role for her. she's already an accomplish singer and i think she can't compete with the young ones. she must accept that its not her time anymore. there are lots of singer actors out there like zsa zsa padilla who accepted support roles on series. she's not a freakin claudine barretto for her to demand like that. but she's a very popular singer, and thats her strength. not acting

Regine will have to pack on some pounds (especially in the facial area) if she wants to resemble the "average sized" woman. Her look isn't relatable, way too manufactured, and I doubt she's willing to compromise her vanity to perfect a role.

I'm all for trendy dramas in the Philippines (as soap operas are so dull/tiring), but copying someone else's success isn't necessary.

What you said is so true, most probably they're gonna put in the show the most popular star instead of who's fit for the role.
Then they're gonna throw in lots of slapstick jokes and sickening dumb-ass scenes.
I hope the script of KSS will be given not only to the writer but also to his bosses so that they will discover how unique and precious a series is if they just deviate from their old formulas.
