I saw it at the pantages and the girl that played galinda was hilarious. Personally, I think she's the funniest version of galinda. The pantages was really small and we had really good seats, but I think most of the seats there were good seats.

I saw it in London and it was truly superb, my favourite song is no good deed and the way elphaba (sung by kerry ellis) performed it was, well rather spectacular, the power she had, i loved it. it was the best song in a musical that i have seen thus far (and i have seen a fair few)

agreed. i saw wicked twice this past month at the apollo victoria, the first one was with cassidy jensen as elphaba, a week before she and kerry left the show. at first i was a little disappointed that we couldn't see kerry (i saw her the week before at the 'chess' concert, but still, kerry is THE west end elphaba), but cassidy was really good. there were some notes where her belt wasn't quite as strong as kerry's but overall it was a solid performance.
the second time i went was last night, sat fifth row from the front and it was alexia khadime's fourth performance as elphaba. she was nala in the lion king and now she just replaced kerry. a lot of people criticized her opening night, saying she growled too much and was off-pitch from time to time. i guess she settled into the role pretty quickly because i thought she was exceptional. great riffing--quite different style from kerry so it was pretty refreshing. not to mention she looks considerably younger and in that respect suits the role very well.
i have to say though that the highlight of the shows for me were dianne pilkington and oliver tompsett. i mean, nobody can replace the cheno but dianne was hilarious--i love her squeals and her toss toss was just great. oliver tompsett, on the other hand, is just bloody gorgeous. not to mention his voice is amaaaazing. i love his and alexia's 'as long as you're mine' because they both have such great riffs. but him and kerry is pretty good too. actually i'm pretty sure him and anyone would be just spine-chilling. love olli.
well, wicked's coming to utah next year so i'm at least gonna see it one more time. i'm also thinking about catching the LA production before it closes down.

I absolutely LOVE Wicked! I saw it when I was in London with my choir.
It was so amazing to watch. And even before i saw it, I was such a big fan of the music already. And I'm going to admit that I was bawling my eyes out during Defying Gravity and For Good, my two favorite songs.
This musical is SO good! I LOVE IT!!!
I can't WAIT until Nov. because it's coming to MN!

Ugh, I'm so jealous of everyone who has seen it!
I have the Original Broadway Cast Recording & I LOVE it.
I've read most of the book, too. (although I couldn't finish it, maybe later. hehe)
& we did select songs from the show for our show choir this year.
I REALLY want to see this.
Hopefully sometime it will come near or I will go there.

LA PANTAGES CAST IS AMAZINGG
The Glinda I saw was Megan Hilty. I saw a few other Glindas through videos on Youtube and from that (though not a very thorough opinion), Hilty is AMAZING. She brings this whole other character and she's just...WOW.
Plus, ADAM LAMBERT = FIYERO = HOOTTT.
The Elphaba was amazing too - I think Cassie Levy was filling in that night? I forget, but yeah omgahd their kiss scene was *__*
Her voice was freaking AMAZING though.
I went with my high school choir so all the girls after were like WHO WAS THAT FIYERO GUY haaha
Too bad he's gay
I liked Nessarose and Boq's voices in the original cast, but Pantages wasn't bad either.
I read the book too, and I'm actually glad it's a 'happier' (and less sexual hahaha) and Glinda is ditzier XP
Watching it again in June when it comes to SF

Ahhhhhhh- one of the best musicals ever produced!
I saw it at Pantages and third row at that, but being so close to the stage had its advantages and disadvantages. I just wished I could've seen the broader picture of the whole, entire stage so I recommend a cheaper ticket.
Casting is incredible. Costumes, props, crafts all were flawless.
And talent- wow, breath taking.
Its definitely worth every penny, every minute so I say go for it. Haha (but the stuff they sell at pantages like water and food were satirical, meaning expensive. Whoo.)

so have you guys heard? apparently the movie is confirmed, BUT they're probably not gonna start pre-production for another two years, so i'd wait a little while before starting any new threads. or at least until a director gets chosen. still, who would you guys want in the film? i mean, the obc is amazing and all but i think cheno and idina are getting a tad too old. i think anne hathaway and kristen bell would make a great elphaba and galinda, respectively.

Hey has any one tried the new Wicked puzzle? I think it looks fun,but I want to know how hard it is? Also they have this new wall calendar and I wondered if idena and Kristen were in it? I thin the sets and costumes of cool so I think I'll buy it just for that, but it would be cool if the original cast pics were in it as well...
