Anyone ever had a lot of bad sports injuries?
And what sport was it from?
I sure have

Gymnastics is brutal..
1) Snapped my right achilles tendon in December while competing on floor.
Got emergency surgery 2 days later.
2) Pulled my left achilles tendon a month before
3) Got a high ankle sprain and couldn't practice for 4 months
4) Had back problems for 3 years (on the verge of a stress fracture) I had an X-ray, and MRI, and a bone scan done.
4) I ended up fracturing my growth plate in my wrist 2 years ago, but my outer bone kept growing..so its kind of sticking out now..
Getting surgery in March to cut the bone down ^o^
5) Landed on my neck while tumbling, went all the way down my back. (now I can't bend my head backwards)
So yea, those are my worst ones yet, what are/were your's?
How did you do it?

Hmm ... haven't really had a bad sports injury yet thankfully.
Worst has been a tweaked/rolled ankle. But then again, I usually mess up my ankle every 5 games of basketball I play. xD
Also, I think I have some problems with my knees, but I never really got it checked out.

I rarely get sports injuries but my worst will just be a sprained ankle. That is about it, unless you consider appendicitis a sports injury since you can get it from playing sports.

I nearly got tendonitis from pulling my thumb back so much from serve receiving in volleyball my junior year, haha. Also pulled a leg muscle in my last game this past year... pain lasted a while, but luckily nothing too serious to stop me from playing permanently!

my worst injury is twisting my knee and ankle at the same time plus landing on my wrist putting heaps of pressure on it and eventually breaking it.

I dislocated my thumb playing basketball. So, I just popped it right back into place and there was a bruise for about a week. I also dislocated my middle finger and did the same thing with it. I dislocated my right leg while skiing, because I fell awkwardly and couldn't get up. I never went to check on my leg, so it looks weird in the knee area, yet it doesn't hurt or anything.

I think it was soccer, back when I was in elementary school... Fractured my right wrist, no big deal, but probably one of the worst injuries. Second the twists and breaks of my ankles from basketball. x.x

From baseball I strained my hamstring running for a triple, painful as hell. Basketball sprains are pretty common for anyone who plays, but the worst is when you come down and you land on top someone's foot, sprained my ankle really bad like that once..out for like 3 weeks lol. No pain no gain like they say, and my friend even tore his ACL in track, he was just running and all of a sudden looked like he malfunctions and crashed, nastiest injury I ever saw live in person.

A slightly, a nearly, or a real dislocated shoulder from warming up during my gymnastic class.
I just know it was kind of misplaced for a week or so.
But since I was warming up, that doesn't count?
Well, here's another one:
I was skating happily, and suddenly, for some stupid reason, when I was speeding, I lost control near the board and KABOOM.
An injured knee and hip.
Well, it wasn't that bad, the skin ripped off a little and I got a few bruises.
But it hurt a lot for a few days.
Actually, it's not the collision that injured me, but my stupid self.
I bumped onto the board badly, but I held onto it in order not to fall, my mitten (or glove?) got stuck in the door handle, I pulled it in order to get it out, the door opened, being in an unstable position, I hit the stair after a bad fall. ^o^

I partially tore my MCL ligament, LCL and meniscus in my knee a year ago doing a backflip on a trampoline.
I've had many other injuries and plenty of broken bones but my knee has been the worst injury.
Finally at the beginning of this year I was able to start doing martial arts again, I also started Wushu which i LOVE.
I also went back to gym, just doing handsprings etc. Well a week ago doing jumping kicks I injured my knee again

not as bad but I spent hours crying because it sucks.
Has anyone else had experiences with knee injuries and training in martial arts?? I'd be really interested to talk to someone.

I'm going thru the toughest time of my life right now due to an injury that happened back in Sept.
I injured my lower back in Sept doing squats with weights inappropriately and before it fully recovered, I played hockey, did stuff with my gf, etc. and made it worse.
Ugh it's a really long story and I dun feel like typing it all out but it is not July, and I am unable to do a lot of the simple things.
You can ask me if you really wanna know or also had a lower back injury and can relate. Actually, I would prefer you contacting me if you also had a lower back injury so I don't feel as alone in this problem.

In 7th grade I wiped out on my skateboard and broke my right thumb and the nail also got ripped off. I also had a gash in the nail bed. It took FOREVER for the nail to grow back.
This isn't really an injury, but I have knee problems. When I was on track freshman year I had a hard time running because I would get pains in my knees, even days after when I was just walking. The bones are off-track in that area so they grind up against each other when I do too much running. Soooo I quit track after that year [for other reasons too], but I wish I could've sticked with it. :/

I minorly fractured my ankle during tennis cuz i stepped on a tennis ball. haha really stupid of me. it still hurts when i run because I didn't go see a doctor until a couple of months later when it really started hurting because I thought it was just a bad sprain.

well for me, its probably not that bad..
but my worst sports injury was..
So I was playing flag football in PE one time. And i guess i got all competitive and such

. I guess i was mad at the fact that my team was losing by a few points. As the game rule, the flag must be strapped to the belt across your waist. So my friend, who was on the other team had the ball and she started running towards the goal. I ran as fast as i could to try grabbing her flag. I WAS SO CLOSE! until i reached out my hand & tried to pull her flag, she was running really fast and i ALMOST GRABBED IT until her hip hitted my hand really hard. It was in so much pain. After PE, i thought it was going to be them short pain injuries which will heal in a few minutes/hours. But it turns out that when i went to my next class [science], and the injury just HAD to happen on my writing hand...i couldnt write a THING! i tried to put ice on it.. and it didnt work

ugh. So i went to a hospital to get it checked, and it turns out that i fractured my hand

rawrrr. worse experience everrrr.

countless sprain rolled ankles. Partially torn meniscus on my knee and dislocated fibula on that same knee playing basketball. i really do feel alone in this one as doctors say it's rare to injure my leg like that. to be
honest, i dunno how i did, it was gradual, not like a instant pain.
lower back pain. but this one i just have to rest it and stretch it out and it's fine.
the knee i dunno how to fix. doctors didn't find any structural damage on the knee, but it's pretty obvious my fibula is popping out alot more than the other knee. he did say i had a slightly torn lateral meniscus and he suggested arthroscopic surgery to find out what else is wrong but haven't had the time to get it done.
anyone have had the same problem, message me, def. interested in talkin about it and finding out more.

In the Raiders' opening game of the 1994 season, a September 5 date on Monday Night Football at the San Francisco 49ers, McCallum's career would be ended prematurely when 49ers linebacker Ken Norton Jr. twisted him to the ground. McCallum's cleat stuck in the ground, forcing his knee into a horrible dislocation. Norton lay pinned underneath a motionless McCallum for a couple of minutes while trainers attended to McCallum.
McCallum suffered a complete hyperextension of his left knee, almost to a right angle. He suffered a ruptured artery in his left knee, and tore three ligaments, tore the calf and hamstring from the bone, and suffered nerve damage in the knee.

Okay. Does a screw going into your leg count?
Because the screw that was sticking out of the wall went into the back of my leg and i thought by lifting up my leg it would get out and so I did. But instead the wound got bigger and I was like "GRRROOOOSSS".. LOL
Okay if this isn't bad then I've twisted my ankle twice, once while playing soccer and the second one walking down the stairs. LOL.
