I don't want to be one of those fussy pessimist, but over the past couple of years as a DBSK fan, this has really started to bother me.

I'll use this "DBSK's music creating miracles" for example...

I feel a lot of you seemed to have taken a very biased approach toward this!?

don't get me wrong, I love DBSK with all my heart, and if the story is true, I'm glad their music have given someone another chance at life. But this does not define anything of DBSK or their music, all it says is DBSK has a maniac fan who centers her life around DBSK to the point of ignoring everything else. I really think this should not be encouraged. Her family has obviously devoted so much effort and love to this girl, yet when she wakes up the only thing she concerns about is DBSK's new album? I don't know if I should feel sympathy for her, or those that care for her, or the people that wish to be in her shoes.

I understand I'm being too objective and somewhat cold blooded, but its also the truth. The boys are great artists, but certainly not the most talented musician, nor do their music have the ability to wake coma patients.

My point is, I'm tired of fans putting them on a pedestal as this omnipotent, perfect being. I'm tired of fans having unrealistic expectations about the boys. Why do you love them? Because they are pretty and handsome? because they are suave and witty? because they are talented and well packaged by their company?

Do realize, that they are just as flawed as any other guy around you, they're just better at exhibiting their positive traits. So what if Jaejoong smokes? If he decides a couple of cigarettes will help him get through whatever stress life has dished out to him, what right do we have to say no? What if they are hideous under all that makeup? Their beauty will be short lived with their currently lifestyle, will you still love them then? What if they get girlfriends? Because you know it's going to happen at some point, they won't stay single forever. What if they have secret girlfriends now? afterall we don't own them and we'll never know everything about their private life, nor will we ever have any chance of being a part of their lives. What if one of them had plastic surgery? will it change your opinions on them? What if they are desensitized by their fame and publicity and will no longer appreciate the fans' efforts like they used to? Because the same chant/present/innovative idea to touch DBSK's hearts etc will seem a lot less impressive after the fiftieth time...

All these things are possible if not inevitable, we can't live in a fantasy bubble where DBSK will stay young forever and they excel at everything they do and always love everyone and they're always the victim and martyr and never indulge in human wants have a myspace and replies your comments and will stay together till they die of old age.

I know I'm exaggerating some bits and most of DBSK fans aren't that ignorant. But it doesn't change the fact that many people are still naive and idealistic. What I hope for, is for the fans to love the boys for whatever they are. Even if one day we find something unexpected or shocking about them, or if they completely disappear from media someday, please still love them, for they are only human. Next time when someone says something about DBSK, instead of reacting emotionally on instinct, think about what they said objectively. Why did they say it? is it positive? negative? a rumor? what can i do to make the best of the situation? It doesn't matter what other's say about DBSK, because ultimately, you should know without a doubt nothing will change your feelings for the boys.

*sigh* sorry I rant and digress when I write. If anyone actually end up reading the whole thing I hope you understood what I'm trying to get at.

I agree with some of the things you said I don't put them up on a pedastal I know
they have flaws and If they get girlfriends I guess I'll feel some remorse but I'll be
happy If I know their happy and whoever that girl is one day she'll be really lucky I don't

Just want you to know that dbsk fanclub cassopeia or anyone who loves dbsk is a member in a community, all of us here come onto this page or visit a forum in order to express our love about our boys. In another word we are pretty much a huge family of hundred and thousands or possibly millions of peoples male and female sharing equal loves towards all the boys in tvxq. If we are this one big family then really there is nothing wrong with ranting towards each other like how hot they look in this shirt/shoes/underwears etc. or even wow this youong fan have woken up becuase of our boys voice. I'm just saying there is nothing to be irratated about, we know they are not gods in this world, surely they can't save me or u when a pervert come knocking. To me it doesn't matter what the reasons are behind why someone become a fan of Tvxq.
To qoute you, "Why do you love them? Because they are pretty and handsome? because they are suave and witty? because they are talented and well packaged by their company? "
I'm not sure if you are implying that it is a bad thing.
I believe every tvxq fan has their own reason as to what attract them to Tvxq. This is their right. No one should question or criticise them.

On the other hand, i agree with you that we shouldn't put Tvxq on a pedestal.
They are human after all. Like us, they make mistakes.
I agree with whatever you said about the boys flaws, their short-lived beauty,desensitized by their fame..It made a lot of sense. It's reality. We should accept that.
We should never expect perfection from them.
As fans of Tvxq, we would continue supporting them despite any deficit they present along the way.

Regarding, DBSK's music creating miracles issue.
I understand that you are trying to point out to some of the respond made to this news,
But to say that the girl is 'a maniac fan who centers her life around DBSK to the point of ignoring everything else' is excessive.
Media may be exaggerating with its word. Even if her mother played Tvxq music, we don't know if that was the only thing that gave her perserverance to go through this ordeal.
You don't know her personally. You don't know what her family meant to her.
You have no idea what she has been through. None of us do.
So i think u shouldn't say such things about her. It's not fair to her.

If i can remember, in 'All About DBSK 2' it was Yoochun and Jaejoong who called themselves Soul Fighter in the couple talk. Ahh...but I cannot remember why. Have to go and watch it again

Yes, Dbsk is not perfect nor are they the best artists. They have talent that we like, they have looks that we like and they have personalities that we like, thats why we are 'fans'. Yes, we dont know their private life. We can only like/dislike the things that we see, hear, read ect that are provided for us.

Well said... Though I disagree to some parts, but you've pretty much summed up my thoughts. Sometimes, it seems as though some fans are too irrational when it comes to the boys... That's why I brought up the possibility of the news being fake. It's the same isn't it? When some negative news comes about, fans have the greatest tendency to say that it's not real... I don't see why we can't question the authencity of all the news the same.

Then again, the article seemed exaggerated. The first thing she said upon waking up is to ask for their new album... (How did she know, if she was in coma? Maybe she heard the radio or TV, that I can't be sure. But yeah...) Whatever it is, I wish that fan all the best... (Especially in getting a backstage pass... LOL)

About the TRICK single sales in Korea, I don't have other comment. Only I can say, Avex's trick strategy worked, this project sold about 160-170k copies despite the lack of promotion.
