Bought my "T" (2dvd+2cd ver.) from HMV Singapore and it comes with 5 photocards, which I didn't expected! So totally happy right now.
Would like to ask Singaporean fans here, do all the TVXQ first press release singles/ albums sold in Singapore come with 5 different photocards? Is it true that their cds and dvds are cheaper in Singapore than in Malaysia?

i think i'm not a very 'dance' person, the reason why i like the dongbang boys is because of their wonderful voices, especially their acappella. but it IS a fact that the boys do dance very well, and all this hip-thrusting thing is just built on their level of dancing. and also since the boys are labelled as "idols", they should dance and so forth, or it might be counted as a form of fan-service? but i would really like it if they come out with this full acappella album...



i agree to this, its mainly about the customs that different countries in the world have. people in asia are more...conservative? i guess its the way people are brought up and exposed to the different things. i wouldnt think its atrocious to hip-thrust and all that even i'm asian, but i just prefer the boys singing



i think they know how to say kanji, but they only know how write very limited kanji...but they know how to write in katakana and hiragana~



yepp the first press release of the T album in singapore has all 5 cards of the boys. and the singles sold in singapore is usually first press, and has the first press goodies -- 1 card at random, and off-shot movie (for DVD)

i'm not sure whether the DVDs and CDs in singapore is cheaper than malaysia. i went to malaysia CD-rama once, and i saw sky single selling at RM60 ++, but in singapore, a single usually costs about $15 ++ (CD+DVD) which is about RM 35. i guess there is a difference in prices but i'm not sure.

japanese language/written text is bascially mix of 3 main types Hiragana(ひらがな), Katakana(カタカナ) & Kanji (trad. chinese characters 漢字).
non-japanese normally learn the language starting with Hiragana & Katakana.
Kanji is more advanced and more difficult to master.
the boys normally write in Hiragana & Katakana with mix of Kanji. (but i felt they are already very apt in the language)
even japanese dun master Kanji perfectly.

The thing about Kanji is that you have to rely purely on memorization. Korean isn't so bad because it's really just like alphabets put together, hehe ! I'm gonna start learning soon, can't wait ^^

I'm not sure. But i know in Singapore, they usually only sell one version, which is the most expensive one(full package). i don't know about malaysia, but if you compare the price it is actually much cheaper than online.

Hey! Me too! I noticed I listened to their older songs like those you've named a lot more than the TRICK/T songs. =x I think I'm like stuck in the past. Hope I can start to like their new songs more Though I like rainbow and close to you.

I agree that FL though a little acapella-ish is still not acapella enough. Maybe we can count KSMS as acapella. LOL. Then it would be very recent that they released an acapella. (Though KSMS is not very acapella too. =x)


Yeap, Singapore brings in the Taiwan version and it comes with 5 photocards. But other singles (Japanese, that is) comes with 1 photocard but not all the designs (depends) and usually they bring in only the CD+DVD version though I saw both versions of Summer single. =/ The last time I went to M'sia, I saw 'O' album, it was more expensive than Singapore indeed and the quality does not seem as good (someone can confirm that though).

But if you're looking for the cheapest deals, I suggest you check out sembawang and MJ first before going to HMV. But definitely, HMV has greater variety and stocks even if they tend to overprice. It seems to me that sembawang and MJ keep very little stocks.

Haihh.. i know we are all hoping for acapella perfs from the boys.. but i was just fin listening to Bigeastation epi50.. i just wish if they are doing life perf, they'd gv the lead to either jejung or junsu.. changmin seriously need to practice.. i was like O____O when i listen to it. I think frm the audience (yup they r doing it with audience) also feels the same frm their response.. i love changmin, dont bash me, but if we can be acceptable of the fact.. he need to practice singing live.

Anyway, the bigeastation epi50 really was done infront of audience? anyone got a pic? did they do it on stage?

kurogama- honey, i didnt say he cant sing. i say he need to practice is all. he's also as good as the rest as the member. but we are talking about acapella performance. if you view other Foreverlove acapella in other show, you'd understand.

sorry i beg to differ. why are you bashing on changmin's singing?
i thought he is a great live performer. have you watched him on the recent musicfair21? or any of their many live performances before you judge?
he is the tenor, he starts off high, and then adjust it down so that the rest can come in with matching key notes.
some people may not like or understand tenors or the way they sing, but that does not mean they can't sing.

all the boys are unique in that they sing different parts. jaejoong and junsu are great singers but they are not the only ones that can.

thanks rxlcrab for the links to some of changmin's great live performances. towani was one of my favorites because my breath literally caught when he sang his part. seems that the 112 comments on that video agreed as well.

Well Changmin is still young, and at times his higher notes are still off pitch. I don't think kangtaluv meant anything malicious, and I do agree that Changmin needs more practice, but he has already improved a lot since debut, so I'm sure that he is going to be even better at live as time goes on. There are a couple of performances where Changmin sang really well, and we can hear his great potential, at times like these I can safely say that he aroused the most excitement out of the audience, like when they sang Hey Girl on Love Letter, I wanna hold you on the 3rd album showcase, and Towani with the Gospellers on Soul Power. I believe you know that there are two very different versions of Forever Love a'cappella, right? (edit: FL perf at BEstation50 doesn't sound bad, I guess it isn't as enjoyable as Gyao perf, partly because of the radio version quality. )

In this version, ChangMin sings the higher notes than his usual tenor level. I really can’t say if it can be considered as soprano. (Someone enlighten me, please. Egle, are you around?) Only thing I can say is that it is different voice level than we used to listen ChangMin sing. About he has to improve to sing LIVE.. well, you judge it now, after listening to this perf.


About your opinion that ChangMin should improve his vocals. ChangMin would agree with you. This boy has very high expectation from himself, even it is giving him a pressure. I wish he was a bit more relaxed.

About “dance concept” discussion. I will just give my last lines here.

When we started the subject, it was NOT about hip-thrust dance movement that is used in the belly dances or whatelse.
We are saying that THSK’s dance choreography does NOT HAVE TO have suggestive and vulnerable movements (such as EXESSIVE hip-thrusting or pelvic movements). And yes, I am saying that last few dances of THSK are disturbingly close to this subject. Even if you say, there is nothing wrong with these movements, I would say, it would be the cheapest way to gain the fans. THSK is the group of artists, who is capable of creating the piece of art, and art does not need the cheap accessories to attract its admirers.

Drop the subject about cultural difference, please.

well...some people thinks that they know everything but in actual fact, only LEE SOO MAN and his artists involved knowz the real truth.
I just find it funny that people keep writing articles thinking that they know everything.

basically, JaeChunMin were in the studio but they used portions from their bigeast fanmeet as part of bigeastation [correct me if i'm wrong. having a hard time reading the kanji from the jfn/toho site]. yeah, Minnie did get off-tune in some parts of the acapella. but, they sang outside in the bitter cold. so perhaps the temperature played a big part when he went off-tune a bit. however, Minnie has improved tremendously if comparing him from 2006. such a span of just a year, eh.


speaking of the jfn/toho site: when will they change the bg pic? it's still Choosey Lover. it also annoys me how some of the Trick songs were labelled wrongly. like, Two Hearts from Yoochun or If... from Yunho. argh. i mean, it's the boys' official radiostation site. at least have accurate info...

i'm pretty sure they've all taken lessons before. it's part of their music training. to master song composition the most basic instrument to have to learn to play is the piano.

Anyway regarding CM's voice.... I think his voice is actually very good now. I'm not sure about him going out of tune and all since for some reasons some of the clips refuse to play on my computer.. but one thing is for sure... he has a very powerful voice for singing high notes which I believe most guys are unable to do so. They probably have to use their falsetto voices. Like I said previously before... the collaboration with the Gospellers where he hit the high notes so forcefully (in a good way of course) really impressed me!

And it's funny... when I compare how CM looks and sings in 'HUG', their first MV, and I watch their most recent concert clips, tv shows, interviews etc.. I think he has really grown into a man.. and even much more so than some of the others because he speaks in quite a formal mature way. Funny CM.


Ps: I have NO idea what hip-thrusting dance you guys are tralking about. Anyone has a clip, pref. NOT on youtube that I can take a look at?


btw, is youtube is clamping down on DBSK videos even more tightly in recent times? because I am noticing alot of DBSK videos being removed recently or refusing to play. Not sure if it is just me but sometiems I try to click and they say the damned video has been removed and I'm so frustrated. gah..

I thought when you sing accapella's it is natural for you to find the right tone first?
I don't think Changmin needs to seriously practice.. but we all know that they came a long way.
And they have such great voices that they can be even better.. i think any artist in the world can always be EVEN
better in singing by practicing. So i cant say that Changmin don't need practice, because every artist wants
to be better, which i sure Changmin agrees with me. LOL that he wants to be EVEN better.. but at the situation that your saying..
i think its just the song. =p It depends on the song, i believe, how high or low a song starts. And for accapellas
you kind of need to find the right tone at the beginning so the rest can follow you can flow. ;] this is what i think..x)

From what i know, when your under sm entertainment, they require all of their artists to have
piano lessons. Therefor all of the dongbang boys can play piano. I also think its for composing purposes. ;]

regarding acapellas, i think it is best to stay in the positions that they r normally in from the start~ like it is always nice to have changmin doing the mega high part in an acapella, it makes the acapella piece more special~ however, at times he does get a bit too high, i remember it in one of the begin acapellas (but his part is really hard). i just dont think that it is best to put changmin as main vocals in an acapella (forever love), because then the piece would be missing the really high tone....
